Delivered in about 30 minutes. Food hot and tasty. The Ploughman's Pizza was beautiful. My first ever order. I will be ordering again soon.

Update - the last few times I have ordered from Captain Tony’s the food has been exceptional. I appreciate you taking my feedback onboard. Thank you. I have increased my star rating to take this into account. I have gone to Captain Tony’s, regularly for years. Their pizza is my favourite by far. Massive problem is their fries. They are very inconsistent in quality. Sometimes they are exceptional, but other times they are awful. I ask now for them to make them crispy, but the last 3 times I’ve ordered them, I’ve had to throw them in the bin. They were disgusting. Sloppy and undercooked. Does your chips chef not try their food before giving it to us paying customers? I hate to do awful reviews, especially when I love their pizza, but the fries are just as important and at over £3 a portion, I’m fed up, even asking hasn’t improved their quality. How can you get it so wrong??

Ordered pizza for delivery omg, most tasteless rubbery pizza I've ever actually had, thought this place was highly rated... Meat feast with extra spicy chicken and it's literally like eating rubber the cheese is so thick and rubberised with zero flavour 🤦 same with the mrs Hawaiian go elsewhere

Been my go-to takeaway for years whenever I've wanted to order a takeaway. Food is freshly made and tastes great every time. You definitely get what you paid for. Never had any issues with them.

I ordered a hawaiian pizza last night but didn't realise it came with mushroom and my son couldn't eat it I rang up and their service was amazing,even though it was my mistake they quickly sent a pizza out for my son. The food is amazing from here,buffalo chicken wings and pizza are lovely and to be fair we have never been disappointed by the food Thanks guys for sorting that out for me Top service

The shop is clean, the young girl on the counter was pleasant, helpful, and served efficiently. The pizza was tasty, but unfortunately the bottom of the pizza was soggy, and the chips were only warm. The plain garlic bread left a lot to be desired. I'll only return here if I can't find somewhere else open.

The food is quality for what you pay. The ladies and gents who worl here are sweet people. This is my favourite pizza place atm. P.s try the chicken wings.

Food is always of a very high standard and prepared / delivered fast. Would highly recommend.

Another delicious meal from the Captain. This place never disappoints, the big chain outlets can't compete on quality. Go for the deep-dish option if you want your pie with generous toppings, a rich & tangy tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella & a crisp, buttery crust. No soggy bottoms here, just great pizza. 10/10, 5/5, however you wanna score it, buy with confidence.

Always enjoy the pizzas here. Food is always a good standard and prices are reasonable. Only downfall is they didn't sell bottled water, not too much of an issue though. We'll still pop back.

Tried to get served and got told I wasn’t able to have my order wouldn’t cater for my medical condition whereas every other dominos I’ve been too have been helpful and supportive don’t see how the rules are different for this one specific dominos, one very unhappy customer!! 😡😡😡

We were having a few friends round and decided to have pizzas for a bite to eat. I met the manager when I picked up some menus, he asked me to phone the order through and leave the rest to him. We did and the pizzas were delivered within the hour and were delicious. We've bought from there many times before and will continue to do so.

Captain Tony's have always made the best pizzas in town, and their new vegan pizza did not disappoint! Same old great taste, but without the dairy - totally recommended! 😃

Dropped in on a Saturday night at seven to order four pizzas ready in 20 minutes so got beers whilst waiting. Very welcoming staff, loving what they were doing, nothing was a problem. Three medium one small pizza with one drink £35. One medium was basic with three extra toppings. Never going to trouble artisan offers elsewhere but still very tasty all the same and didn't disappoint.

Great pizza, some of the best there is, arrives quickly and hot, onion rings are good. Order via the website or their own app. Chocolate cake wasn't to my tastes, but then they are a pizzeria!

Ordered via Just Eat. Food arrived on the dot of 6.50 as promised. Food was piping hot. The Pizza is the best I ve had for a long time will deffo be ordering from them again.

Absolutely brilliant pizza. You can tell the ingredients are super fresh! And with this Covid malarkey it’s a welcome thing! So many takeaways in the area have dropped their standards so thought I would try something new! Wasn’t disappointed! Very polite delivery dude too!

This evening i met a homeless gentlemen outside tesco direct on borough road and invited him to Captain Tony's at #trfc to join me for any meal he desired at my expense. Politely the gentlemen responded, thank you but im grateful i have this coffee and water but thank you for your generosity. I insisted and told the gentleman "no thank you" was not going to make me walk away. I shared my life, family, personal challenges and downfalls to show the gentleman was not alone with his problems. The gentleman opened up and the words we shared will forever be within my thoughts. We all have our challenges

Simply the best, I've enjoyed many pizzas over many years from captain tony's,, amazing service, very clean environment, you can see your food being prepped, and cooked. You will not be disappointed!!!

Used to be great.last two meals have been awful,cheaping out on ingredients. Hardly any topping on pizzas and undercooked Thought it was a one off...clearly not.

This place serves lovely food and always gets it delivered quicker than initially stated on the estimated delivery time, however this could pose a problem for people who require their meal at a specific time. Delivery driver Richard is always very pleasant and friendly, however I think he might just have a crush on my partner.

Can't even give it 1 star, chips and cheese was like plastic on chips no exaggeration, and for the garlic dip wow!! Tasted musky wondered why where where given 5 tubs, don't like to leave bad reviews but I'm sorry captain tony's never again will I order.

Very regular customers at captain tony's, yes the pizzas are pricer than others but usually worth it. However, we've ordered 3 times in the last week and each time we have asked for the chips to be cooked slightly longer than usual, and unfortunately each time they've come less and less cooked. We couldn't even eat them last night as they were that under cooked, they were still translucent. To top it off the base of the pizza wasn't cooked properly either, very pale and doughy. Very disappointing as we are very loyal customers!

i mistakenly posted a bad review on here that came from a ridiculous experience with the Wallasey Captain Tony’s manager and one of their drivers. Hopefully I’ve removed it, but if not I’d like to say that this is not the same shop. I’ve spoken to the manager of the Birkenhead store he was really helpful and understanding of the situation.

Don't quite get the below review, doesn't make any sense to me but hey ho!? Anyway, I order at this place probably about once a month, has never got my order wrong, has always been delivered promptly and is cooked perfectly. The meal offers are brilliant value and having collected once or twice, I know that the place is very clean.

they love to put loads of cheese on to justify the price they charge, would like to know for sure if they use cheese subsitute in with it, love the pizzas from here but the wings and stuff are skinny hard to find anything to bite off
