Beautifully presented, full of trinkets and sweetly decorated. . Service lovely, staff very nice and friendly. A little cramped if you have a pushchair and not really for very small children as there's not much room. . . and too much to touch for little fingers . . but otherwise, visit !!! We had a giant scone each with cream and jam. Yummy!

I went to Fleur Ashley Tea Rooms as a birthday present from one of my close friends. On arrival we were quickly shown to our table and asked if we'd like drinks whilst waiting for our afternoon tea to arrive as these are freshly made. We had a large cafeteria of coffee. The staff were most attentive but not overbearing during our visit. After a few minutes our afternoon tea arrived on a three-tier cake stand which included, a selection of beautifully fresh finger sandwiches, quiche, a variety of cakes I'm the most humongous scones you've ever seen. These were served with a large dish of clotted cream and a large dish of strawberry! The food is all homemade and you can definitely tell the difference between that and processed foods. During the couple of hours we spent there, staff came over and chatted in a very friendly way. The venue is decorated and furnished throughout as an old fashioned Tea Room with lovely tablecloths beautiful china crockery and the music selected is from several decades ago .The atmosphere is relaxed and also good to see - was that the tea room was busy. As a small business, it is good to see them being well supported. We were offered refills of our drinks during our visit. I would highly recommend visiting this little Tea room if you love traditional fresh afternoon tea. They also have a full menu of other foods as well. Thank you to Amie and the team from one very happy customer. I will definitely be back 👍🏻🥰🤗😘

With apologies to all Wallaseyans, all lovely people, Wallasey Village Road is not the most prepossessing place to find a stunning, outstanding, top of the range cafe and cake studio. But, here it is. No joking, no messing, this is a place you must visit. We are a walking group, largely based around Southport, Ormskirk, Maghull, with a smattering of Wirralites and others, so we see a large range of cafes and eating places. As you might expect, these vary in terms of recommendability. But this one is the tops, go as soon as you can. Annie, her daughter and the staff are wonderfully hospitable, and the fare on offer outstanding. We tried the piping hot scones, made, baked and served on the premises, wow, an unbelievable treat at the start of a wonderful walk along the north Wirral coastline. We cannot recommend this place too highly. Well done ladies!!

We went to Fleur Ashley just before Christmas for an afternoon tea, with our 8 month old baby. The staff honestly couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating. They gave us a large table so we could sit comfortably with the baby, they were really helpful in making us feel comfortable visiting as a family - they have great children's menu options including a fresh platter of cheese, buttered bread fingers, fruit and salad veg all cut small which was so thoughtful and great for our little one. We shared an afternoon tea which was fantastic, lovely sandwiches, really tasty scones and cakes, and a great selection of teas on offer. The decorations in there are really fantastic, it feels cosy, comfortable, and inviting. We had a great time - thank you Fleur Ashley, we're looking forward to our next visit.

Fleur Ashley Tea Rooms was so lovely, it feels like you are stepping back in time to an era when things were more refined and gentle. The decor and ambiance is so quaint and inviting, the food (homemade veg soup) was really tasty and wholesome and most importantly the staff were incredible.I admired one of their tea sets and asked the owner if she would contact me If she ever wanted to sell it and she said “take it”. She insisted as she wanted it to go to someone whom she knew would love and cherish it. It took some persuasion but eventually she took a small donation off me. I can’t begin to describe how he’s kindness has completely reinforced my belief that there are still really good people in this worldI would strongly recommend Fleur Ashley if you want a nice place to relax and chill with good food and cakes.

Staff where pleasant. The cafe seemed okay. Food wasn't horrendous. However I booked in advance for dairy and gluten free. I discussed this on the phone a week prior and was told it would be fine, they could do sandwiches, home made cakes and a scone with soya cream. When I arrived they told me they'd been too busy to make my scone and where asking me over again what I could have. They found me some store bought cakes, sandwiches and no scone or any alternative. They still took my £15 for a full afternoon tea. The service again was pleasant but there barely was any service as such. Took over half hour to bring water requested. Brought food and then eventually took tea and coffee orders. Then had to be asked twice for milk by which the teas we'd poured in our cups where cold. No second offer of drinks at all. Overall if I'd walked in without prior notice I would have been happy that they'd been able to throw something dairy and gluten free together. Or if they'd told me they weren't sure but would try. But with prior notice and being told what I'd get that's what I expected. No excuse would lack of service though.

Disappointed, over priced. £19.95 each for afternoon tea!!The finger sandwiches were, tiny and if you consider cream cheese, egg mayonnaise and processed ham as an afternoon tea? The cake slices were also on the small side, a chocolate slice and a Victoria sponge slice with a scone. Tea or coffee and one soft drink but if you asked for another soft drink well that was an extra charge?? Even though some of us didn’t even have one soft drink...We were then hurried out and was told that we were all meant to of left by 3pm, it was 3.15pm and we had been there since 1pm... also £2 corkage for a bottle of processco and wine with a screw lid top??Won’t be returning

Maybe a little expensive for a cup of tea and a light bite but really memorable as its done out as an old-time teashop (sort of) and it feels a lot more or a treat than a trip to a café or chain. I had the afternoon tea with cakes, cut sandwiches and a scone and loved it all, especially the Victoria sponge. Not an everyday venue for me as I have a budget but one where you feel you get treated well and entertained and not just fed.

This venue and the staff are flawless. The attention to detail and the attentive staff make this place. Unfortunately the afternoon tea is terrible. This consisted of three selection of sandwiches egg, ham and cream cheese- most other places offering afternoon tea would choose perhaps one or two of those options but then add in something a little more special i.e. tuna, salmon, beef, blt, chicken salad or cheese and chutney etc but unfortunately it was 3 very plain and cheap fillings selected. Only half a scone was offered but it did come with jam and clotted cream and it was a good size. Other venues would offer a smaller whole scone, some places even two just to make the cake stand look more appealing. And the cake selection was appalling, this consisted of two fairy cakes, afternoon tea usually includes one or teo of the following; a macaroon, lemon drizzle cake, a fruit tart, a brownie etc etc but two fairy cakes is not my idea of afternoon tea/high tea. It was what you would expect from a children's birthday party. There are countless places I could name that offer a much much much higher standard of afternoon tea for the same price. But the tea and coffee was of a high standard and the atmosphere was lovely but I was so let down by the standard of the afternoon tea.

I was here for a baby shower and we filled the place up, we had all paid for afternoon tea. However if we asked for more tea they wouldn't give us a new tea bag just gave us more water in the pot so I thought that was a bit stingy considering a single tea bag costs about 5p but would recommend for anyone wanting afternoon tea in the area!

I went for lunch with a great friend and considering it was midweek it was still pretty busy with a nice, quiet buzz in the room.I had a beautiful slice of quiche with homemade coleslaw and salads followed by a scrumptious muffin. Fleur Ashley is my new favourite place to catch up with friends over traditional afternoon tea. Staff are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. The food is simple but so scrummy and beautifully presented. I cannot recommend this place enough...I love it!

Spent a long lunch here with friends. Super find and would recommend. Menu doesn't have that much variety but what they do do they do well.

Had lunch with a friend today at Fleur Ashley, lovely, traditional tea rooms. Pretty mismatched china tea cups and teapots. Real tea, with a strainer, and instructions on what it was, however we were both old enough to know!We both had a generous wedge of homemade quiche, with salad, then very greedily chose a cake for dessert, lemon drizzle with raspberries and clotted cream, and scone with cream and jam. The food was lovely, and very filling.Shop décor was great, fabric teacloths, with vintage white cloths layered over the top. Only criticism was that the serviettes were of the harsh paper variety, when some nice linen, or failing that, the 'soft fabric feel' paper ones that you can buy.total bill was £21.00, which was good value, we were not hurried out, had a relaxed two hour catch-up, and made very welcome. Will definitely return, but would caution against taking babies or toddlers, too many breakable things within reach, definitely a grown-up place to visit.

Mum in law took my wife and I for a high tea this cold January day, and I must say the service and the tea was first class...staff were extremely friendly and the presentation out of this world... £34.00 for 3 cream teas which included sandwiches cake and scones and of course tea of your choice...in bone china cups..highly recommend this place...

This is a nice place to visit for afternoon tea. Quaint, homely tearoom with high tea for around £12pp. This includes a choice of teas/coffees sandwiches, cakes and scones. Would probably advise against taking tots/babies. Not a lot of room as it is and lots to break! It's not the Ritz, but it's not bad either. My only 2 wishes: that the owner stop running around like a headless chicken when it's busy and please, please stop serving that cheap, shop bought coleslaw. It lets you down when you do such a good job at everything else!

Wonderful tearoom, lovely staff and my coffe (which was specially picked for my liking by the lady on duty) and cake was gorgeous. My friend just had a tea as was tea leaves presented in a mini teapot. gorge! Also they do celebration cakes and sell little presents and cards. Recommended post box hire for my friends wedding - www.loveissweetwirral.co.uk - . Be going again!

We had a lovely afternoon tea, which was presented beautifully on a tiered cake stand with cakes, scones, and a variety of sandwiches. The shop is only small, but it makes it homely, and welcoming. I would highly recommend visiting the shop/cafe.

The place to visit for fantastic service, homemade cakes that would please Mary Berry! Sandwiches and lots of other tasty wholesome snacks. The celebration cakes are a pure work of art from the hands of the owner.

Never have i paid so much for a slice of cake that could of been shop bought. £4-50 for a piece of chocolate cake with cream. The wholemeal bread was that cheap 50p bread, not nice. Even Starbucks only charge £2-60 for chocolate cake. No prices on anything. Will never go again!!!

Amazing little Tea Room! So friendly, great decor and theme, yummy cake and drinks, fully recommend!! The flower names on the tables are a nice touch, and all the cups and saucers are very 1920's art deco. Lovely environment.

We stumbled across Fleur Ashley Tea Rooms more by luck than anything else; with family visiting from abroad that were hoping to experience a 'real English afternoon tea', I searched for a local tea room that would provide that experience. A quick google brought up Fleur Ashley, the website looked great, it was only around the corner but I had never heard of it so decided to check with the mother-in-law who told me she had not heard of it either but thought she had heard of a nasty greasy spoon cafe in that location. Undeterred, we decided to give it a try. The ugly, old cafe front filled us with trepidation, it was bad weather and the window was steamed up so we couldn't look inside but once we opened the door we were immediately convinced! The cafe is cosy and inviting and full of quirky, kitschy charm, with what looks like grandma's finest china and embroided table clothes and lovely mismatched tea pots set on the tables. We treated ourselves to high tea. The lady serving us was very welcoming and attentive and made sure we were happy with the selection of sandwiches on offer. The sandwiches were served first, then the home made cake which was probably what all of us were looking forward to the most! And we weren't disappointed either; lemon drizzle, coffee walnut and Guinness chocolate cake as well as oven warm scones. The Guinness chocolate cake was simply amazing, best cake I've had in ages, rich but not sickly sweet and didn't sit like a brick in the bottom of your stomach like some rich cakes do occasionally. The tea selection was also really good, the English rose was delicious, discernible rose taste but not overbearing. Lovely place to go for a proper afternoon tea and I very much look forward to returning soon!

Just had a very enjoyable lunch at Fleur Ashley. The food was lovely and the staff were really friendly. We loved the traditional tea room setting with ornate china crockery and embroidered tablecloths. They take reservations so I would recommend phoning to book a table as it seems very popular.

Friendly, nice staff. However, it took far too long to get a sandwich (nearly half an hour) . I'd finished my drink by the time I got it, with no offer of a refill or apology for the wait. I think they were doing a take out order. That's fine, but tell people if there is going to be a long wait. Also, not the owners fault but It's not the place for a quiet time. Very loud regulars talking to each other like they were in the next valley. Again, this is no reflection on the staff, who were nice. Just my experience on the day

ordered food and it took about an hour and a half to come. When it came toast was literally charcoal! we asked for no tomatoes in breakfasts and they put tomatoes in 2 of the breakfasts also asked for mushrooms and they didn’t put mushrooms on. I called and had to speak to 3 different people who kept taking the phone off eachother and all were very rude didn’t resolve my problem told i was going to be waiting ages because they were busy even though it was there fault and they continued to say just get a refund through just eat. Never ordering again! Hash browns also had green inside 🤢
