Came here recently and had a great time, lovely place but I ordered 2 old fashioned, one was made the classic way as I would expect and one made with orange juice..? Not sure if this is standard for this venue but certainly not the classic I expected or was served the first time round, strange but worth pointing out nonetheless
Very handy if you're at the Albert Dock and visiting The Beatles Story, I think I hoped for more lunch food options but there was actually plenty, and what we had was tasty. The decor was carefully thought out, it's quite small inside, but we were happy with our table near the zebra crossing! I had expected Beatles music to be playing, that seemed to be suggested in info about the cafe - there wasn't - but it was a good experience. I had been intrigued to see what the "your favourite Beatle on your coffee" would look like and it was, I have to say, a lovely coffee - a large Lavazza cappuccino.
The food was very tasty I only had one problem and that was the toilets they were unisex I did not like that at all men and women and children all using the same toilets not very safe for children especially and anyone that i spoke to in there didn’t feel comfortable either
My second home! Staff are SUPERB fuss over my 11yr old he feels ten feet tall!...drinks are good prices average the place has a good atmosphere for anyone fancying coffee cold stuff etc
Went there before a cruise and was greeted by a nice atmosphere and quality service and a lively buzz to the place 👌 😊 just the place to visit and start the night with 100%
The food is very good but the service is quite long.
Service remains the main problem of this establishment.
Send the condition of the salt shaker how served. It's a shame.
If you’re after a proper, no-nonsense Chinese meal in Liverpool, Mr Chilli’s on Seel Street (just off Berry Street) is a solid choice. We ordered the Stewed Pangasius Fillet with Pickled Vegetable, (Pickled Vegetable Stewed Fish Fillet), Fried Bean Curd in Chilli Sauce, and Fried Soft Noodles — and it was one of the more satisfying meals I’ve had in a while.
The Stewed Pangasius Fillet was the highlight — a deep, savoury broth with just the right level of sourness from the pickled vegetables. The fish itself was tender and plentiful, and the broth had that addictive quality that kept us going back for more.
The Fried Bean Curd in Chilli Sauce was superb — silky tofu inside, crisp outside, bathed in a rich, spicy sauce that packed a good punch without being overwhelming. It paired really well with the fish and made the whole meal feel more substantial.
The Fried Soft Noodles were a good call as a side, soaking up all the flavours without being too greasy. They had a nice bit of wok char, which gave them a slightly smoky finish — very moreish.
Service was quick and efficient, with the focus clearly on delivering excellent food.
If you like your food properly spiced, generously portioned, and full of bold flavours, Mr Chilli’s on Seel Street is well worth a visit. I’d absolutely go back — next time, I might even brave one of their notorious extra spicy dishes.
A decent enough place that severs standard subway food , friendly staff that are fairly quick at filling the order. There can be a wait at busy times. One day there were a lot of litter in the restaurant and dropped food. But to be fair that was a busy day.
Usually the place is clean.
