The best restaurants in Chorley North West

We regularly order from Venice Papas and the food is always brilliant quality and always delivered quickly too. Everything from pizzas to burgers to wraps are great. Tonight we had an item missing from our order and they quickly came to resolve it which was very much appreciated! Great service. Aside from that, we have never had any issues so can highly recommend!

Mixed review. Had a lovely lunch here (2 ciabattas) and cannot fault the food and service. However after returning home and looking at receipt (partner paid while I was busy) we had been charged £6 for swapping fries to chunky chips on our meals. When we asked if we could swap there was no mention of any surcharge and have never come across this before (they were both same price on sides menu). Know it’s not an earth shattering amount but feel this is sneaky and it’s left a sour taste which is a shame as was looking forward to re-visiting with family. If this is the policy please be transparent with customers.

Waited in line for 20 odd minutes to get a fast food sandwich. Not sure if it was the set up or the slow staff but it took ages and made us late back off lunch. To top it off they did a huge just eat order but stopped doing any in house orders to make it before carrying on serving so 2 staff were essentially stood there doing nothing. The guy on the salad bit clearly didnt want to be there, or maybe he was having a bad day, but he looked miserable.

Very disappointed in this order… was usually our go to Chinese takeaway, same food we always order and it was awful, don’t know weather it’s changed ownership but will not be ordering from here again

Awful. Burgers were cold and literally just a stale cold patty in a bun. No sauce. Nothing. Such a waste. Very few halal choices around here and sadly this one turned out to be the worst.

We went for tea to this beautiful pub yesterday. We have always liked the pub, with its wonderful history dating back 800 years - it even has a ghost - and we were not disappointed. The landlord was welcoming and friendly and we had a table next to the fire. We had a drink and ordered our food. I had seabass with new potatoes and tenderstem broccoli and capers (whivh I love), and John had fish and chips. My meal was absolutely delicious, the seabass was exactly as I like it - pan fried with crispy skin - and the veg perfectly cooked. John loved his haddock with chips and mushy peas. All in all, it was fabulous and we can't wait to go again.

Been past here a lot of times,always busy which says everything. Carvery and great menu 3 sizes of plate, my other half had middle size Carvery and I had scampi and chips, both ok, pleasant staff and quick service will return.

Harry was an absolute gent. I was working there and Harry insisted he made me a spicy pizza which was unreal. Highly recommend trying the pizza’s here.

Lovely first time visit to barton grange garden centre! We came to see the Lancashire hawks and owls event, which is a free event where you can see and for a small £2 cash donation hold an owl and have your photo taken. An amazing cause, all the owls are rescues, supporting a local birds of prey sanctuary run by a lovely couple who care so deeply for the birds they have rescued. They will be at the garden centre over more weekends in the future so it's worth a visit. We also had an early lunch in the riverside cafe, it is pricey but expected. Layout of the cafe is lovely and beautifully clean! Food is also lovely, most fresh and homemade, fabulous fresh sandwiches and cakes. The garden centre itself probably the best garden centre we have visited so far, really clean and modern throughout and something for everyone. Homeware, petcare, plants, gifts and cookware, toys, books and stationery etc.

Came with friends. The food is delicious… the portions are massive! We had prawns as a starter which were amazing. Then I had a pie which was delicious. Great outside area too. Lovely for a sunny day

Visited the Elephant for about the 10th time this year. Amazing food and service. Accommodated us in a booth, no problem, food is world class.

Visited xmas day,terrible service,food was cold,will never use again,they said they had changed chefs,and management wouldn't give them enough staff,they ruined our Xmas day
