I was treating a friend to an overnight stay near Chester with the first day being spent on a shopping spree in the city, something that was long overdue thanks to the covid lockdown. I tried to find somewhere a little different for us to eat that lunchtime as the restaurant we would normally use had sadly closed permanently. We found this a rather unusual place and opted for the tapas style small plates. With hindsight, we should have ordered less than we did as the portions were larger than expected. The decor was a little odd and not particularly to my taste. The service was fairly attentive without being over the top and as far as we could tell, all covid guidelines were followed.
Attempted entry at 515. Numerous tables empty in the front seating area. Vile door staff told me "we aren't letting anyone in we are at capacity". Quite shocked as the venue didn't look busy. Returned 10 mins later and friend was allowed in with no issues. Inside venue was nowhere near fulland rear seating area equally deserted. Absolutely bizarre that a hospitality venue are turning away customers because they don't like their "look". Was dressed in jeans like many other costumers and a hoodie. Joke
Today X2 Staff laughed in my face making fun of the way I spoke, mimicking in front of me, said âshe must be in the wrong shopâ and continued laughing together.
Bizarre behaviour considering I simply asked for a hazelnut boba tea. I have a local accent.
Weird people would not trust them making my drink and wonât be spending my money there ever needless to say I walked out never to return.
I ordered went for it they forgot the chips. We went back they were charging us again for the chips. I wouldnât bother going there they are just money grabbing
We spent our first night in the UK here, and it was great. Our room was tiny, but quaint and comfortable. Local beer is what we wanted and that's what we got. Dinner was a steak pie for me and a sausage dish for my husband. Both were delicious. Breakfast the next morning was a full English, and we didn't need to eat again until dinner time. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
A lovely fish and chip shop right in the centre of Chester. You can dine in or takeaway. The food is lovely we just had the small cut and chips with mushy peas I meant to take a photo before I started to eat it but got carried away sorry. They also do delicious ice creams and desserts plus they do tea coffee and serve alcohol.
They do a gluten-free menu as well.
Kens for me has always been the best takeaway for sweet and sour in Chester. Everything else I've tried on the menu has been tasty too and it def turns heads with an amazing aroma walking home with it. Very friendly family run business, known them for years đ
Fantastic pub, right in middle of Chester. Staff were very friendly and suggested some sights to see while in Chester.
Food was great, both had fish and chips and they were the best that we,d had in a long time.
Will definitely be back soon
