Pizza Express in Cheshire West and Chester

Always immaculately clean. Very pleasant staff. But, the best part, is the food! We are regulars here. Best pizzas ever.

£4.95 each portion of chips / fries and hardly any in the carton literally just a handfull of cold fries / chips the meal was cold Chicken pizza cold and hardly any chicken, £42 wasted,

Sadly a very disappointing Pizza . It was rock hard, the cheese was that over cooked it had formed a bubbly solid lattice . I won’t be coming back. Given two stars as the children’s dough balls and pizzas were nice .

Was a really positive experience, food was lovely and our server Iqbal was very informative on the current offers ensuring we got the best deal possible! It was a great meal but quieter than we thought, thanks!

Oh my where do I start, we ordered a takeaway but ordered it in store fantastic is not the word. They couldn't of been any better, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. This is my favorite restaurant but even more so now.

We visited for dinner yesterday, before see Heathers at The Storyhouse. We arrived at 5.15 in order to lave by 6.30, after visiting previously to check whether we would need to book. We were told no, that would be a quiet time. Which it was, when we arrived, although it wad full when we left, as many people, in including our party of three, weren't being served! Our simple order, two pizzas and dough balls, glass of wine and two soft drinks was taken by a very friendly and helpful waitress. The manager was also serving. The drinks arrived, but not the food. After becoming increasingly concerned we asked the reason and the waitress apologies, explaining that the only chef working was preparing food for delivery also, and the delivers were getting impatient and angry. Our food arrived just after 6 p.m. The Margherita was fine, the Fiorentina was virtually inedible, so dried out that the egg was invisible (left standing presumably). The waitress could not have been more apologetic or helpful, and the manager agreed to remove our drinks from the bill, hence the two stars. An anxious beginning to our evening, although the professional service at the Storyhouse soothed the nerves of the teenagers, whose theatre visit was a much looked forward to birthday treat. Please do not bother to eat here, there are so many other restaurants; although the takeaway service may he worth a try!

Pizza was stone cold I ordered 30mins before someone in the same Accomadation must of waited so only one delivery not happy

Food was great but pizzas seem to shrink each time we come, we asked for two separate bills on one table. We wanted to use app rewards and Tesco club card vouchers on each bill but were refused. Completely ridiculous rule which needs changing. Otherwise a pretty good experience

Very disappointed, was still eating my starter when they brought my main , no break in between , when mentioned to waiter he blatantly lied and said he had asked four times that we were finished Wish I had break between meals

Pizza Express missed part of the order, I called them but was advised too late as order delivered and to contact Just Eat instead, hopefully i'll get a refund.

I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the food was. Only one man was serving the food and drinks to all tables whilst seating people and then delivering the bills at the end. This issue definitely needs addressing as he was really busy and would be easy to make a mistake on an order, etc... overall, it was a good meal for me and my family and the waiter deserves a medal. Hence the 5* service

We arrived with 26 children and 5 adults at the same time as another large school booking. The staff were welcoming, friendly and very organised. Service was slick and the 3 course menu for the children was excellent and enjoyed by all. The adults' food was equally delicious and served promptly. Had a delicious gluten free vegetarian pizza and halloumi bites, my companions had a lasagna and cannelloni which they both enjoyed, it arrived quickly, our server was friendly, polite and professional, and when we were there it wasn’t overly busy, and the sun was shining in, which made for a very pleasant dining experience.

The food and drink was good, atmosphere nice, but service should have been better. As a result, we didn’t leave a tip and we probably won’t return to this particular Pizza Express. I ordered the pale ale which is 330ml and the cheapest ale on the menu, and they gave me (and charged me for) a completely different 500ml golden ale despite having repeated “the pale ale”when I ordered. Sure, I enjoyed the golden ale but it’s not what I ordered. We also asked for water for the table which we had to ask for twice as they forgot about it. When trying to settle the bill it took a while for anyone to notice that we were waiting to pay. None of these were hugely problematic by themselves but in combination it made for a less than ideal level of service.

Really great service from the staff, clean, bright and well presented. The server was very kind and friendly to my little girl, and there were several families in so it obviously has a very welcoming vibe. Overall the food was fab, but I was really disappointed with the gluten free pizza which had barely any toppings and seemed quite tasteless.

We had an excellent meal at Pizza Express, generous and well-presented (I’m always interested in the temperature of the red wine - it’s warm, but that’s ok!) were served by very friendly and efficient staff. We are fans of Pizza Express and a visit is always a feature of a holiday week because, sadly, our local branch closed a couple of years ago. Like all the other branches, the Chester one is spotless with a modern, airy ambience.

A perfect evening! Great welcome, great food prepared with love and attention. A big thanks and we look forward to a return visit over the summer.

We booked a table for two but arrived 40 minutes late due to bus not being on time. Phoned the manager, Ben who kept the table for us. Ben was very attentive, service and food excellent. We enjoy Pizza Express very much.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Shown to our table promptly. Meals arrived promptly after ordering. Grace our waitress was brilliant friendly and efficient. Cleared empty plates quickly.

We ordered our food at 7.20 with the delivery time being advised as 8.02 - 8.20 and it was almoat 9pm when it arrived. We chased the restaurant and they advised us to contact just eat but there was no contact details for just eat that we could see and it was just a total faff and too late for us to eat on a work night :(

Really nice food the dough balls are a must there delicious me and my boyfriend went for a meal I had a lasagne which was lovely and he had a calzone but he didn't enjoy he's that much but overall it was very nice we would go again

We really enjoyed the food (Canelloni, Padana pizza, Polenta chips). Excellent service and super friendly staff. They answered all our concerns regarding cross contamination of foods/meats etc. Thoroughly recommend it.

The whole team make us feel so welcome. They are friendly and helpful. They have great knowledge of the menu, app and offers. The food and atmosphere is always top notch. They make any occasion special. They are always really attentive.

Not a resytaurant issue but driver/delivery issue, driver didnt collect when order was ready over 30 mins pre pick up. Took ovr a hour and a half to get it when told would be approx 30 mins. Very poor and had to chase with no updates through whole wait.

Had a wonderful evening with colleagues from work..Katie was so lovely and patient whilst we placed our orders...we will most certainly return...

We booked a table for 5 on a busy Saturday evening, every table was occupied, thank goodness we booked ahead! Our waitress was Katie, she was very attentive but not intrusive. She obliged by taking a photo for us 🙂 We had cocktails, starters, mains and desserts, all just right and extremely tasty. Great choice on the menu and they were happy to add little extras too, I wanted prawns added on to my pizza. The mini dessert and coffee is just the perfect choice too!

Had a lovely evening with my work colleagues. Food was delicious, the waitress Katie was so good. Atmosphere was nice.

The pizza was dripping out of the box and the pizza was undercooked and looked like it had been thrown around in the box

Not 100% at fault but choosing Deliveroo is their mistake! Waited until the last minute for delivery and received a call from the rider saying he was here... Although I input my address the 'pin' was 3 miles away and rider gave up. His reason was 'can't find address left pizza on your doorstep!' I didn't get to eat my Pizza Express 🤬

My meal at pizza express Chester was delicious. The new lotus biscoff dessert was a real winner. The staff were friendly and attentive. The service was quick and efficient and drinks were topped up throughout our time there. The pollo pesto was well cooked and I had an enjoyable experience at the restaurant.

14.80£ for a 9”pizza???? Didn’t even states on the menu that this was the size, for that money you expect a bigger pizza! Shame on you! Only worth thing was the glass bottle coke…

The food was good. It was well prepared and tasty. I particularly enjoyed the Caffe Reale with a coffee after a lovely Fiorentina pizza. The service was great, the team did a great job.

Sorry but I really did not enjoy my visit here. The children's menu is fine and it's really good value, but the main menu prices are insane! £16.95 for nothing more than a bog standard pizza that frankly is nowhere near as good as a Dr Oekter = a couple of quid from Sainsbury's!!! Worse still, the base of the pizza was so thin and hard I couldn't even cut it with the knife supplied!! As you can guess, I won't be going back - there are far better choices to eat in Chester and that's pretty much anywhere but here...

Friendly staff and a great location. Not too much in the middle of Chester but easy enough to get to and just down a side road. Staff are friendly and attentive. Place is immaculate and clean including the toilets. You can do most of the stuff on the app which saves hanging about to pay at the end. No parking outside but plenty of pay for parking in vicinity.

My boyfriend and myself recently visited pizza Express, in St John’s Street, Chester. The food was excellent, the restaurant was really lovely staff really great. Well worth a visit, if you’re in Chester make this a definite place to visit.

If you don’t mind waiting after being seated, just to order a drink then after your drinks arrive waiting again to order your food then wait between 40 minutes just to get your main course which is only pizza And then just to be served with an excuse from a manager that they’ve had a few takeaways, which is backed to the kitchen. I would recommend this place. A great place to have wonderful customer service skills from obviously a manager who doesn’t seem to care about customers to not even chase up an order or even give a straight answer to why our man’s got missed.

I came out to lunch by myself and Iqbal was lovely, he helped me with deals on the app to save me money and he made my experience very comfortable.

The pizza came cold and just didn’t taste right. The only good things which arrived was the dough balls and the calamari. The pasta was warm but that was only because of it arriving in a tin foil tray. Quite disappointed with how the pizza was as the name is called “Pizza Express” but everything but the pizza was good.

Super quick service, and super helpful staff. The pizzas were excellent, and pretty good value for money. Drinks were quite pricey, but that's fairly typical in most restaurants these days. Very convenient and would definitely go again.

The delivery time kept being pushed back and now my order has arrived stone cold. I tried to give it back to the deliverer but he wouldn’t take it. Appalling, had to be thrown away

My pizza arrived cold and had been on its side as it was squashed up against the side of the box and the toppings had fallen off

The waiter was really rude from the beginning of our experience there. He sat us down and immediately wanted to take our orders, even tho we didn’t had a chance to look at the menu. We felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome. The food was pretty good but the service poor. We tipped him and he didn’t even say thank you or goodbye.

Ordered 2 pizzas and dough balls, the dough balls were a waste of money, the amount for the price is ridiculous and they came absolutely rock solid and over cooked.

Small pizza for the price, cold when arrived. Pizza not cut properly so topping came straight off when trying to separate. Won't be using again.
