Pizza Express in Cheshire West and Chester

First time here as family of 6. Amazing service and excellent quality of food. Massive well done to our server Grace who went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional

The whole team make us feel so welcome. They are friendly and helpful. They have great knowledge of the menu, app and offers. The food and atmosphere is always top notch. They make any occasion special. They are always really attentive.

Not 100% at fault but choosing Deliveroo is their mistake! Waited until the last minute for delivery and received a call from the rider saying he was here... Although I input my address the 'pin' was 3 miles away and rider gave up. His reason was 'can't find address left pizza on your doorstep!' I didn't get to eat my Pizza Express 🤬

I absolutely loved the pollo ad astra, I thoroughly recommend it!! My waitress, Daisy, was very attentive and informative. My significant other and I are sure to return soon! 🙉

My boyfriend and myself recently visited pizza Express, in St John’s Street, Chester. The food was excellent, the restaurant was really lovely staff really great. Well worth a visit, if you’re in Chester make this a definite place to visit.

If you don’t mind waiting after being seated, just to order a drink then after your drinks arrive waiting again to order your food then wait between 40 minutes just to get your main course which is only pizza And then just to be served with an excuse from a manager that they’ve had a few takeaways, which is backed to the kitchen. I would recommend this place. A great place to have wonderful customer service skills from obviously a manager who doesn’t seem to care about customers to not even chase up an order or even give a straight answer to why our man’s got missed.

We had a wonderful time when we last visited Pizza Express. We had a lovely waiter called Ben who was extremely helpful and helped us get what we wanted to order at the best prices. We will definitely be back!

I came out to lunch by myself and Iqbal was lovely, he helped me with deals on the app to save me money and he made my experience very comfortable.

Super quick service, and super helpful staff. The pizzas were excellent, and pretty good value for money. Drinks were quite pricey, but that's fairly typical in most restaurants these days. Very convenient and would definitely go again.

A hidden gem, food standards always remain high and so delicious, we're never disappointed, relaxed ambience, staff attentive, polite, restaurant and toilets spotlessly clean

The staff were bery friendly and helpful. The manager was very good showing us how to use the pizza express app and getting the most out of the vouchers on offer. Will definitely go back again. Pizza was very nice too.

Had a lovely experience dining here this afternoon. Our waiter, Iqbal, was very helpful, great guy.

The waiter was really rude from the beginning of our experience there. He sat us down and immediately wanted to take our orders, even tho we didn’t had a chance to look at the menu. We felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome. The food was pretty good but the service poor. We tipped him and he didn’t even say thank you or goodbye.

We ordered on just eat and our order got mixed up somehow. We rang up and I believe Gino answered the phone and was incredibly helpful with everything and my gf and I are very appreciative of the service him and the rest of the team gave. Massive thumbs up

The service was absolutely awful, the waiter was very rude, didn't let us split the bill and made me feel uncomfortable. My man didn't even greet us.

Came here for a quick pizza and wasn't disappointed. The chilli prawns were delicious followed by classic pizzas with good service too.

Pizza was amazing, and served exact as it was described! Spices and chilli were perfect and not exaggerated. Garlic bread was fresh and juicy. Our host was very polite and helpful with choosing the items. Definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for good quality pizza in Chester.

Took a group of Australian tourists to Pizza Express in Chester, the service was fantastic, the restaurant staff were able to deal with the large group in an effeicient and timely manner, ensuring everyone was able to eat together. We eat here regularly and have for many years. It's great for kids but we also love the food. My go to is the Calabrese pizza, which I reckon is better than most pizzas in Italy. Extra points for catering for stroppy/clumsy 6 year olds.

Ben and the team helped me cater a work event today - we needed over 170 pizzas across a short lunch time. The team were amazing, everything was fresh and cooked on time. The restaurant needs to change its name, as it is not express by any means, service is slow and the manager seams to work more that the waitress’s, well some of them. The time for drinks to be served ( if they have it) was slow and so was the food coming out. Now the positive, the food was excellent, even though the base is not crispy for a thin crust it was not doughy. The flavours of the topping were very good and that bit of spice excellent. It was filling as each pizza was over 12” but had to use garlic butter as they don’t have garlic sauce. Out waitress was very pleasant and always busy compared to others, so she had a tip. Would recommend it here as long as your not in a hurry to eat.

GREAT TIME HERE AT PIZZA EXPRESS WITH IQBAL

A mid afternoon visit, lack of atmosphere because very few people eating. Possible just as well as only two people serving and one went on their break. However very welcoming and attentive. Food was as I've experienced before from this chain. The quality is fine but its not anything special. I guess you know what your getting.

Friendly staff and the usual pizza express food quality. Good place to take kids. I really enjoyed my pizza and the kids ate all thiers too. Would go back if in the area. Pretty quiet when we went on a Wednesday afternoon around 430.

We visited this eaterie today - two old fogies who have not been to a Pizza Express for years. We were greeted by the lovely Grace who made us feel at home straightaway. Friendly, efficient and charming. Food was delicious and we put Tesco voucher deals towards the meal which were readily accepted so no fuss at all. We came away with a spring in our step, feeling we had received value for money so thank you, Pizza Express and in particular thank you Grace. Must mention that all the staff were pleasant so whoever is at the helm here is doing a grand job.

Iqbal was amazing with our young sons when we stopped in for lunch. He was very friendly and explained everything brilliantly. In fact all of the staff in the Chester branch were fabulous and so was the food! Will definitely revisit.

Whilst out for a family stroll with Evie and Shirley we stopped at this restaurant on dinner My wife’s not a pizza fan but we both our traditional Romano pizzas mine with goats cheese and spinach and Evies a sloppy spicy pizza The restaurant was busy but we were quickly seated and supplied with a high chair and our food and drink promptly served Despite being a chain restaurant Pizza express always excels as a high quality provider of Pizza I have eaten better Pizza but only on Florence ! A class act

We went to pizza express 10th August for my partner's 70th birthday as normal due to my partner only eating pizza from pizza express. There were 9 of us and a high chair the pizza's that came to the table looked so appetising due to the presentation and the taste was amazing we dine alot at pizza express and this meal we all enjoyed was far the best so far. Top mark's to you all and thank you all for making his and our day special

This is our second time here! Burnt end pizza!! Amazing!!

Slow service except when it came to the bill!! Had to wait over 45 minutes for food while the people that arrived at the table next to us over 30 minutes after we sat down got to their food just after ours. The restaurant seemed more interested in the internet orders than us as while we waited at least 5 deliveries went out.

Don't come here if you want quick service, table booked for 7.30 but still waiting at 8.25.l, seem to be more interested in internet orders than people eating in the premises, hopefully it tastes good but service is not good.

An apathetic welcome and then begging for reviews? Well here's a review for you... In hospitality the welcome sets the stage for everything afterwards. The pizza was without doubt excellent for Pizza Express, "if you've got any allergies, just mention it when ordering"? If you're the only person seating and taking orders. Get with the program mister! Why not... "Would you like to take a seat and I'll be with you in a moment. Do you have any allergies we need to be aware of at all?". Anyway, we don't as we're not 'special', but for God sake Mr manager. Make a bloody effort at the gate without prostrating yourself at the bill. Honestly. Hospitality 101. I'm being kind with the review here. Next time, I may not be.

Eaten here a fair few times over the past 5 years, always had amazing service and fabulous food! Really accommodating of my nut allergy as well, cannot recommend them highly enough!

Garlic bread, free dough balls with a herb butter dip. Classic Sloppy Giuseppe with pepperoni and to finish the meal (and me) the Honeycomb Cream Slice with salted caramel ice cream. Loved all of it, whether you're solo or in a huge group, highly recommend.
