The best restaurants in Keswick Allerdale North West

No matter how many new places we try when we’re away, we always end up back at Derwent Walker. The food is consistently amazing, with fast service to match, and the drinks are just incredible. We love the ever-changing specials that keep things exciting. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. Honestly, what’s not to love? Can’t wait for our next visit!

Best Lamb pie I ever had! Like a Sunday roast with mint sauce and spuds in a pie. Magnificent. And the staff were lovely too!

Not much atmosphere as it was pretty quiet but food and service were great.

We walked past this Burger bar venue several times on Friday night, each time there were several people queuing outside waiting for a table. Today, Saturday, Keswick was a lot quieter and we were able to go straight in. We both had speciality burgers with cheesy fries. Very good food and excellent service. Would recommend.

Food was just fine, but not great. Nicer, more upscale place. Made a reservation (we were there in July, on a week day), but didn't need it. Even though the place wasn't full, they sat us next to the door.

I always finish my walk/run in here with a beer, they have a very good selection my favourites are the delirium tremens and the whistling pig pils. It a nice atmosphere and dogs are welcome and are always offered water. My only issue is that on a recent visit I was being served my Bruge zott and tremens in nasty little half glasses.

Great, authentic, traditional chippy. I never have high expectations of finding decent fish and chips in a tourist town as they are usually tourist traps. However, stumbled across the cafe upstairs at the Kingfisher, and it was a lovely place. Spotlessly clean, great service, crispy cod, lovely chips, and mushy peas all served hot and fresh with bread and butter...yum! Would visit again, thank you.

Had the "full big breakfast". Very very nice indeed. Perfectly cooked, reasonably priced and the coffee was spot on.

Dog friendly cafe. Went a couple of times for chai latte which was perfect. Had breakfast on our last day. Food was absolutely delicious. Friendly staff and very helpful.

We arrived here after a long hike, and had planned to eat in Keswick. It looked very inviting, and as we like to support small businesses we stopped here instead. On the table there was information about the farm, and how the café came about. This was a very interesting read. I had a cheese toasty and my husband had a hot turkey roll. They were both delicious. We couldn't pass the chocolate and orange cake and had to have a piece of that. That too was lovely. Everything is made to order. The staff were very friendly. Well worth a visit.

Proper pub. Didn't try the fish and chips though. Will do next time
