Eat here quite often, but overdue first review. Excellent food and service. Calamari the best I've had, mussels terrific, sea bass and schnitzel also brilliant. Service great too. Thanks Jack and Ken

Great traditional pub, staff are very welcoming and friendly love places like this, good log fire plenty of ales on offer not many lagers, will definitely return

Really lovely cafe, super friendly welcome from the staff and regulars alike. The freshly baked scones were, according to J, "top tier". Will definitely come back to try our the breakfasts. Only comment would be that a plant based milk on offer would be great for the vegans/lactose intolerant.

You can tell it’s a popular venue from the numbers of cars parked on the road outside. The ambiance is good, the staff were pleasant and the food was good. My observation are personal preferences…..the Yorkshire pudding probably took up a third of the plate, I found it difficult to cut, and you were left wondering if you’d knock other items of the plate. I’d rather have two small Yorkshires, so you can “manage” them. The belly pork was ok but didn’t appear to come with crackling. Why are you only ever asked about sauces/condiments once the food has been brought!? I asked for apple sauce, almost 5 minutes later it came in a chilled metal pot, I suspect straight from the fridge……I prefer mine warm or at least room temperature…..the request for additional gravy never materialised.

I was recommended the boathouse by a friend and I have never had such a wonderful lunch. I had scallops with a tomato and oregano cream to start and the Stone Bass Fillet with Blueshell Mussels, Heritage Potatoes, Wild Mushroom & Samphire Cream and I have to say the main goes lovely with their Marlborough Sauvignon blanc and I’m in a food coma. Definitely worth a trip here, you won’t regret it!!

Yet again another great meal in the Milan. Service, food and surroundings were great. Staff were excellent informing us on the food and keeping us going with drinks. If you are going be prepared as the portions are very generous. Next time we are in the area we’ll be back for more 👍

We found this wonderful restaurant last year while on holiday in the area. We booked for this year as well. It's one of the best Indian meals we've ever had. Great flavours , friendly service. We'll be back next year.

We were traveling through the area and stopped by this small business. They opened a little late but it was worth the wait. The scones were coming out of the oven when we ordered. Don’t miss this gem of a place. Sweet or savory, you pick…both were wonderful.

Warkworth has a small nucleus of great places to eat, and we'd never tried Bertrams, so we went. It was a no brainer given the quality of other reviews. The only downside was that we had to get in and out early so were nearly the first people in hence little "atmosphere" but that was our agenda not the restaurant, and we were there for the food... ... which was first class. Superb hake served with a beautiful herby crab pate and dauphinoise potatoes. The flavours were immense and everything was cooked to perfection. You notice the difference with real quality and top chef standards and this delivered for me. The lemon meringue dessert was the proverbial icing on the metaphorical cake. Superb.

Me and my family came here for a 40th birthday party last week, service was amazing. Staff all lovely and welcoming. We had our own room for our large party. After a let down at the first venue, this made our night very special and saved a memorable day. Thank you so much. We are all very greatly appreciative

Fabulous food with a large menu. Reasonably priced with large portions.Very friendly staff and attentive service.Loved the Spanakopta starter and the Lamb Kleftico.Good choices for chicken dishes. The breakfasts are varied and tasty. The best of all was the Sunday lunch with 5 choices of meat, just fabulous.

Coffee cold food only once choice for vegtarian Sunday Dinner could of done better at Home won't be going back
