Shauna was fantastic, very quick service and good food

I’ve been in today with my husband and 1 year old son. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t be more accommodating, they chatted to us all and really made our son feel special. The food was fantastic and all came out quickly. We will definitely be going back, the hummus chicken shawarma was incredible! Thank you for looking after us.

Helen was fantastic from start to finish, nothing was to much for her and she is a credit to the team, we look foward to returning

First time in this place. Love the food and service

Been to a few Cafe Neros across the UK but the one in the metro centre was one of the best. A nice, cosy atmosphere, in the heart of the shopping centre. I had Nero’s new Italian ham and mozzarella panini which was delicious. The bread was soft and spongy, the mozzarella was piping hot and stringy, the ham’s saltiness was just right and tasted great with the fresh pesto sauce. Will be ordering again. I also had the banana and walnut cake which was a little dry but went down a treat with the pot of earl grey. Service was slow, but attentive and friendly. Would love to visit again. My girlfriend's father came over from America and I recommended this hotel to him. He was very impressed with the rooms, the views and how the Gibside put him at a good location to visit places like the metro centre, Beamish museum and Newcastle city. The food there is also amazing - would highly reccomend it for that alone! When we were eating there he really wanted to try a Yorkshire pudding, but they said that they only do them on Sundays for the Sunday dinners. Dispite this, they surprised him by bringing out a few anyway! Top notch service 🙌

Very friendly and pleasant staff. Lovely selection of food. Very clean and tidy. Hot and cold drinks were perfect.

Been twice recently last Thursday for a lunch and a pint, to be fair the food was ok as burgers go but on getting home checked bank and been charged for 3 pints instead of one. Gave them the benefit of doubt and called again today for a snack, order the fish finger sandwich on a white bloomer and this is what I got for £7.50 Barrie
