I visited Toby Carvery at Metrocentre and had a fantastic dining experience. The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. I want to especially commend our server Helen for her kind assistance and making us feel welcome, as well as Chef Kat for preparing such great food, particularly the yummy beef. The seating was comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was warm and inviting. I will definitely be returning soon!

Not being local but staying in a nearby motel, I would describe this particular Toby as a restaurant with drinks available from a small bar as opposed to a public house with restaurant I am more familiar with. I would not advise this restaurant for drinks only, as I might for other Toby Carvery I have visited. Our visit was for breakfast arriving as the Toby opened at 8am. We were given a warm welcome and had a choice to sit anywhere of our choosing. The cost of the buffet breakfast was £6.49. Hot drinks were extra but we chose to have tap water which was free. We chose a table and made our way to the buffet. There was a choice of Yorkshire pudding, gravy, sausage, bacon, hash browns, fried potato with bacon and onion, fried eggs, baked beans, canned tomatoes and mushrooms. Customers are welcome to visit the buffet as many times as they want, so I took a selection to check that all was to my taste and to avoid wastage if it wasn't. The bacon appeared to me to have been cooked in an oven and was a little dry but acceptable, the remainder of the food was first class and perfectly cooked. Having rested for a few minutes after my first visit to the buffet I returned to select my favourite items (including bacon). Again being careful not to take too much so as to cause wastage. After eating the buffet items my breakfast partner chose to conclude with toast and marmalade, whilst I chose to return to the buffet for a third small selection. The dining area was very clean. I visited the toilet which whilst clean I thought the décor was somewhat dated. I would say that the breakfast was great value and the food was excellent. I would strongly recommend this Toby Carvery for breakfast.

Came to Toby Carvery during an understandably busy Sunday. Booked a table for 1:50 didn’t get sat till about 2 which was fine. No one came to the table when we sat and we had to ask someone for drinks and extras ourselves. Food was amazing as always however while eating I didn't appreciate being stared at by about 4/5 young staff members which were all stood doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but chatting amongst themselves and talking about customers in a not so discreet way.

Visited with my daughter, both wanted a Yorkshire pudding wrap - they had none so opted for carvery. It was ok, not the hottest - def not as hot as the serving spoons!! Onions in what I think was gravy had clearly been there untouched for a while as it was set solid on the top. Stuffing was so dry it was crumbs. Carrots, Yorkshire pud and cauliflower cheese were good. The veg bake which is usually my absolute favourite was so oily that it was making me feel sick just looking at the plate so I had to leave it. A lot of money for some carrots, cauli and a Yorkie!! Waitress was lovely.
