Change of name. Now Acorn Deli. My grandaughter and I had been shopping at TVTE so we decided to go here for junch. Menu was very good. We each had coffee and a pannie. Both very good. I will go back again. I wasn't very impressed the last time when it was Coffee quarter. But now it is very nice. Staff polite and helpful...

Stopped off on our journey North, easy to spot being located on the corner of Kingsway North. Nice friendly staff, vast selection of products available from sandwiches to jacket potatoes to full English, big on vegetarian options too, welcome reprieve from the horrid weather. My bacon, Brie & cranberry panini was bursting with filling & absolutely delicious, salad garnish was declined, hubby’s bacon sarnie was great too, topped with a poached egg as they don’t do fried! First visit but won’t be our last.

Been coming here for some years now , but now it seems that the new management allows dogs into the cafe.. this is not nice at all. Dogs should not be allowed in. Sadly I wont be going back due to this. I was in on Wednesday and there was 2 customers with dogs and all they did was bark and could not settle and I couldn't do my work on my laptop. Keep the dogs out please.

One can definitely say that I am a regular. I spend all of my lunch breaks at Café Quarter. Since I literary just work round the corner and have an hour to kill, this is my favourite place to go. The food is always very tasty- I especially like the daily soup and the paninis - and the staff are all very friendly and make you feel welcome. Can't recommend the place highly enough!!! Am already looking forward to my next lunch break tomorrow!!!

Has this place changed hand? What a decline! Still amazing sausage sandwiches but the minging cheap and nastily ketchup ruined it. The staff looked sick of their lives, the whole place looked liklike it needs a clean, our table was filthy. The display counter was shameful, dirty and all the fillings displayed in their Costco boxes! Classy!

Bit disappointed with this place. Not been for a while and noticed that it seems to have changed hands; has a different name now. Coffee was average and there was little choice in cakes. The fridge for cold drinks was virtually empty which always looks poor in my opinion. We did call later in the day, about 4.00pm, an hour to closing so if we had been there earlier it may have had more to offer but it just had a sad feel about it.

Having been a regular when this was coffee quarter we popped in for a quiet cuppa - chosen above other local stops as it is quieter and has comfy seats. However, at 3pm we were advised we couldnt sit in certain areas as they were cleaning up and then proceeded to hoover next to us to the point we couldn't have any conversation. Panini came on its own - no side salad or sides so looks a bit sad. Tasted ok. Shame, not the usual positive experience.

Apparently now this is called the ACORN DELI. The coffee and scones were nice (although Hubby said his coffee was a bit weak). But..could do with a good clean inside. Lots of dust where we were sitting, on the tops of skirting boards and plugs. Also the tables in the centre of the room could do with a good clean on the legs and stand. Will not hurry back until nice and clean.

Visited recently with my husband and had two breakfast sandwiches. My husband had the sausage sandwich which he found unpleasant and made him feel quite ill. We found that the seating area had poor hygiene, the cutlery was dirty with old food on it, the window sill had dead flies stuck to it and the blinds were covered in dust. Since visiting we have both been ill with a vomiting and diarrhoea bug. Will never visit this cafe again and will be contacting environmental health.

A friend and i visited the Coffee Quarter this afternoon. My friend is in a wheelchair, but luckily she can walk a few steps with a crutch as there is no way she could get her chair in with two steps. There are seats in an outdoor area, which on a sunny day would be good, but not today. The cafe is a large room with a sitting room like small room up two more steps.Nice decor and clean. However i did have to ask a member of staff to clean a table for us! I do think however we probably went during a busy time of dayMy friend had a naan bread sandwhich with chicken jalfrahazi and onion bhaji and side salad and i had a bagel with cream cheese and a slice of bacon and a side salad. I had a regular coffee ( it was huge) and friend had a cup of tea.We both enjoyed our lunch and the coffee was proper coffee. There are so many choices that you will have a problem picking one.Would we return - definately

Ordered 5 paninis to collect, arrived to collect them 40 minutes later and the girls were standing around chatting, i was ignored for the first 2 minutes, when i told them i had an order to collect it hadn't even been started. Wasted a further 15 minutes standing around waiting. Paninis weren't heated up properly so essentially apent £25 on luke warm bread, which was also placed on a dirty bench while other sandwiches were being heated, so when my client did come to eat his cold cheese sandwich there was a lovely strawberry jam glaze on the bottom. The optional salad was old and unwashed! in the past my business has put an awful lot of money this way on catering for large meetings, they are a LET DOWN - avoid!!!

Came here for a quick lunch. The menu looked impressive and took our time deciding on what to have. Eventually we decided on the specials board but when ordering we were told that none ofthe specials were on and only what was in the cabinet. Unfortunately the sandwiches in the cabinet had been made a few hours prior and looked a bit dry and sorry for themselves. We decided not to bother as we wanted a freshly made sandwich and not one that had been standing around for hours. It would have been helpful to know that half the things on the menu were not available. I won't be coming back here in a hurry.

Went to the Coffee quarter after passing it and was attracted by the signage. Ordered their breakfast as at first glance looks good value. It arrived alarmingly quickly and for good reason - this was thr worst plate of food I've had in a very long time. Sausages totally blackened on one side, thin 'rock hard' dehydrated bacon, dry hard crumbs of 'scrambled egg', greasy mushrooms, pale limp heavily margarined toast, soft greasy hash brown, nasty beans, soft greasy hash brown, and undercooked black pudding. An embarrassment to a cooked breakfast.

We ended a 2 hour meeting on Team Valley Trading Estate and strode into here hungry and what a nice relaxing environment to walk into. We ordered Chicken Tikka sandwiches, which were slightly toasted in a hot oven served with salad, coconut and raspberry cakes and macchiato. Now the poor lady who admitted she was new did not have a clue what a macchiato was and it was written on the board, I think the management could have trained her first as she was embarrassed. The cavalry arrived and the lady who made it got it spot on. I’m going back.

Having passed this place a few times in the past we decided to give it a try, wish we had tried it earlier. Arrived right in the peak lunchtime so place was absolutely heaving and no spare tables when we first arrived. My wife waited for a table while I queued for our order, luckily by the time I'd ordered we'd got a table. I ordered a chicken, lime & coriander sandwich whilst my wife had the cheese savoury, both of which came with optional salad added whilst I waited and 2 lattes - both sandwiches were very tasty and a mile apart from your chain/supermarket fare which are basically processed long life rubbish. The cost was unbelievably cheap compared to what you would pay in the likes of an Costa/Starbucks cafe. Support your independent cafe if they're good and this one is great - will definitely be back.
