Good cafe and great meeting place.

Nice cappuccino, nice bacon sandwich, friendly service. Decor a bit shabby but who cares, it's one of those places that's got the feel good factor, and we like it.

Me and my army buddy's sometimes meet up on the odd Wednesday for coffee and an egg bango and pull up a sandbag to put the world to rights 🤣 the girls are great and the food is spot on..thank you Lady's

Change of name. Now Acorn Deli. My grandaughter and I had been shopping at TVTE so we decided to go here for junch. Menu was very good. We each had coffee and a pannie. Both very good. I will go back again. I wasn't very impressed the last time when it was Coffee quarter. But now it is very nice. Staff polite and helpful...

Nearly didn't go in as looked closed and a bit run down from the outside but we are so pleased we did. I had the tastiest cheese scone ever and me husband had a delicious breakfast bap. 😋 Will definitely return soon. Staff were very friendly. Loved it

I can't tell you how kind the staff are here. I'd lost something 3 months ago and they went out of their way to return it to me without knowing who I was. Therefore I'd just like to say their customer service is second to none.

Good mocha in a lovely big cup & delish bacon sarnie

Really nice food but disappointed with some poor food hygiene practices we saw. A member of staff eating cake behind the counter, finger in her mouth on several occasions and then picking up a customer sandwich without gloves. Not ever acceptable but particularly bad in covid times.

Its always a pleasure to call in for a snack and a coffee...

Stopped off on our journey North, easy to spot being located on the corner of Kingsway North. Nice friendly staff, vast selection of products available from sandwiches to jacket potatoes to full English, big on vegetarian options too, welcome reprieve from the horrid weather. My bacon, Brie & cranberry panini was bursting with filling & absolutely delicious, salad garnish was declined, hubby’s bacon sarnie was great too, topped with a poached egg as they don’t do fried! First visit but won’t be our last.

This is now owned by Acorn of Jesmond and changes have been made which are not entirely better. Some staff have been retained but the menu is different. Selection not as good with sometimes looking a bit bare. Used to be a regular but hours are so restricted these days. Good coffee and tea- shame about choice and opening hours

Lovely little place on Team Valley, Gateshead. Located where the old Lloyds bank used to be in middle of the valley. Very reasonably price, nice and comfortable with pleasant staff.

Been coming here for some years now , but now it seems that the new management allows dogs into the cafe.. this is not nice at all. Dogs should not be allowed in. Sadly I wont be going back due to this. I was in on Wednesday and there was 2 customers with dogs and all they did was bark and could not settle and I couldn't do my work on my laptop. Keep the dogs out please.

My mam and I live in Gateshead and Acorn Deli is absolutely brilliant for a lunch catch up - it has become our new regular.

Eat here. Get drinks here. It’s not Coffee Quarter any more. This is a lovely place. Nice mix of estate workers and families/singletons. Friendly, smart vibe. Fresh healthy food. Great range but not pretentious. Good veggie options. Irn Bru. Lollies for kids. Good value too. Clean loos.

I'd never been in before, even though I work quite close. I just had a latte which was very nice. The prices were astonishing low but the coffee certainly wasn't low quality. The food which looked very good too. Five stars for this establishment and their staff.

Top place for wonderful food nothing to much trouble for staff

Super cafe with lots of seating inside and some outside on 'frontage'. Big windows so good natural light. Lots of staff, polite and helpful. I asked for a crispy bacon sandwich and got exactly that - lovely and did not scrimp on the bacon. Asked about coffee - it's from Pumphrey's (a local roaster), likely a blend not single origin. I got a flat white which was very nice - medium roasted, much nicer than the over-roasted gunk from Greggs, Starbucks etc. Just over a fiver for 'working' breakfast so good value too :)

One can definitely say that I am a regular. I spend all of my lunch breaks at Café Quarter. Since I literary just work round the corner and have an hour to kill, this is my favourite place to go. The food is always very tasty- I especially like the daily soup and the paninis - and the staff are all very friendly and make you feel welcome. Can't recommend the place highly enough!!! Am already looking forward to my next lunch break tomorrow!!!

Called in for a bacon sandwich and a coffee. I was a bit dubious at 1st when I saw the bread, as large poppy knot buns are usually dry as sticks. I couldn't be more wrong. The bread is so fresh and soft. It's delicious and you get a nice amount of bacon too. My cappuccino too was nice and strong, unlike many other places that sell weak latte strength cappuccinos. The staff are very friendly too. Don't just take my word for it. Call in and try for yourself. I'm sure you'll be impressed.

Good food and there's free WiFi

Usually meet a friend there for coffee. Only allowed 2 hours parking outside which is ample for coffee but sometimes quite difficult to find a parking space. Wide range of sandwiches and snacks to choose from and also tea and coffee. Staff friendly and pleasant and quick to clean tables for the next customer. A pleasant place to spend an hour or two with friends.

Has this place changed hand? What a decline! Still amazing sausage sandwiches but the minging cheap and nastily ketchup ruined it. The staff looked sick of their lives, the whole place looked liklike it needs a clean, our table was filthy. The display counter was shameful, dirty and all the fillings displayed in their Costco boxes! Classy!

Bit disappointed with this place. Not been for a while and noticed that it seems to have changed hands; has a different name now. Coffee was average and there was little choice in cakes. The fridge for cold drinks was virtually empty which always looks poor in my opinion. We did call later in the day, about 4.00pm, an hour to closing so if we had been there earlier it may have had more to offer but it just had a sad feel about it.

Having been a regular when this was coffee quarter we popped in for a quiet cuppa - chosen above other local stops as it is quieter and has comfy seats. However, at 3pm we were advised we couldnt sit in certain areas as they were cleaning up and then proceeded to hoover next to us to the point we couldn't have any conversation. Panini came on its own - no side salad or sides so looks a bit sad. Tasted ok. Shame, not the usual positive experience.

First time visitor and couldnt be happier with the experience.This charming little place has a huge range of veggie options, and the excellent staff were happy to serve my lunch how I liked.Definately recommend a visit!

Lovely place! 1st time here, definitely be back! Had the Cumberland sausage curl, good choice and reasonably priced. Loads to choose from....

Apparently now this is called the ACORN DELI. The coffee and scones were nice (although Hubby said his coffee was a bit weak). But..could do with a good clean inside. Lots of dust where we were sitting, on the tops of skirting boards and plugs. Also the tables in the centre of the room could do with a good clean on the legs and stand. Will not hurry back until nice and clean.

My husband and I have just called into the Coffee Quarter for a coffee and a cheese scone. The scones are served warm and the coffee hot. We often in just for a coffee. The staff are always polite and the whole place is very clean and tidying. The tables are always clean. We love going their for a relaxing break.

Stopped for a quick lunch, tasty veggie burger, bacon sarnie crispy ( as requested). Staff friendly, good menu selection- not expensive. Good mocha and maple chocolate traybake too.

I used to visit here quite often. Returned and although the place looks to have been taken over the staff are still friendly, food excellent and great coffee. Can't recommend highly enough.

Love it. Visit nearly every day. Fab coffee, fab food. Highly recommended. The new hot sub sandwiches are amazing. Particulary the El Bandito and Steak and Cheese. Also they do a lovely range of cakes and scones. Staff always very helpful and obliging. Free wifi and comfy seats are a major plus.

You speak as you find and I found this to be a very pleasant experience. I even found other friends already enjoying coffee here. Didn't try a sandwich but for coffee and cake no complaints and now I have a loyalty card will be back.

Visited here on Xmas Eve. Looked a bit shabby on the outside but once inside it is lovely. Great range of sandwiches and baguettes. Lovely food. Prices are good. Will be back to try more items on the menu. The rocky road was brilliant.

Lovely little sandwich shop in the middle of Team Valley Trading Estate. Really friendly staff and a delicious range of sandwiches.

Enjoyed my panini but paid a visit and was shocked - lots of mould, dirty windows - not pleasant. Really let's them down.

We've been here loads of times and it's always decent food and friendly staff.

Came here twice now on business! Staff are friendly and polite, lovely bunch of lasses, fantastic range of vegetarian options, although I am a carnivore I like to indulge in these tasty option too, dont panic my meaty friends they have that option too!! Milkshakes are amazing thanks guys see you soon xx

Visited recently with my husband and had two breakfast sandwiches. My husband had the sausage sandwich which he found unpleasant and made him feel quite ill. We found that the seating area had poor hygiene, the cutlery was dirty with old food on it, the window sill had dead flies stuck to it and the blinds were covered in dust. Since visiting we have both been ill with a vomiting and diarrhoea bug. Will never visit this cafe again and will be contacting environmental health.

Little gem of a coffee shop. Excellent, friendly and helpful service, pretty good food and coffee and fine for families with kids.

As stated above, not very pleasant at all and couldn't do fried eggs! On the plus side we hardly sat down and the breakfast was there. The staff we're very helpful and friendly and the place is really nice with a good atmosphere. I will visit again and try something else and hopefully come away with a better review.
