Our server today was Georgia, she was lush! very efficient, approachable and couldn’t do enough to help… thanks Georgia 🥰 Food was Delissh would recommend the Glazed smash burger with salad 😋

As a TGI Fridays aficionado I was sadly disappointed with this visit to the Metro Centre restaurant. Upon entrance I waited 3 minutes to be greeted but then promptly sat down. Waited 10 minutes for my drinks order to be taken and it arrived 5 minutes after this time. I then placed my order and as I was sat near the kitchen I could see at least a dozen plates waiting to go and be served but to my surprised no one took them but plenty of staff stood around talking. I did overhear a manager saying lots of greens on the screen. I assume this meant over wait as lots of plates ready to go out. I seen what I believed was my starter and it sat on the hot plate for 13 minutes before being served to me. I would have sent it back if it wasn’t hot but it was so I couldn’t really complain. Mid service I had my server change but no name given for either server. However after the change the service or ordering and replenishing drinks were much better. I could later identify this server as Mahmoud. If it wasn’t for the new server I would have given the star ratings less.

Having decided to try tgif after a long break, I found everything ok except the miss leading advertisement namely children eat free. A party of 4 adults and a 10 and 2 year old had a full service (bill came to £193.76). I made a fundamental mistake by not checking it and added 10% tip. On arriving home I checked the bill and found we were charged for the kids meals. As the phone service only refers you to the internet hence my review here. TGIF have again lost my future custom as they blatantly misadvertise.

Love getting click and collect from here. Food always good and staff are amazing and ensure we have everything we need. Thanks TGI’s metrocentre.

Really bad service ordered bottomless food. Servers never come back with new food had keep asking then taking 20 minutes to come. Staff not interested just standing at till talking. Never again. Food was wrong when came out. Staff should not be working public service. They shud be in youth club

Me and partner went here for food and it was amazing. The food was 10/10 and Mahmoud served us first off he was so nice and welcoming made us feel so comfortable. Second of all he took our order without having to write it down and everything came out just like we asked it which is quite impressive. He was a lovely person and made our experience so much better.

My daughter has food allergies, serious peanut and tree nut allergies which has resulted in anaphylaxis and hospitalisation. I can quite honestly say this was the best experience we could have had. We were asked before we where seated if anyone had allergies, then a manager came to take my daughters order, he's was amazing going through everything with her. She does avoid sesame, however no serious reaction. He made sure that the kitchen were aware to prevent any cross contamination with sesame. He checked throughout out meal that she was OK. So may other restaurants leave it up to the customer to check ingredients. We always have antihistamines and epipen to the ready. Truthfully couldn't have felt safer, WELL DONE TGI FRIDAYS.

Absolutely lovely evening tonight and our server was Kaitlyn-Anne. She was an absolute diamond, nothing was too much trouble for her, from either getting me a glass of tap water to giving me some mayonnaise and she was up to date with knowledge of gluten and diary free so I was able to chose a decent dinner. Our food was yummy too. Was a pleasure to see her smiling and being helpful especially when her section was busy. Thanks a lot Kaitlyn-Anne, I will return! 😁

Absolutely shocking menu compared to what it was once upon a time and the prices are absolutely extortionate. £27 for burger and chips is what I expect to pay in London not Gateshead. Nice food, nice service but will not be entertaining this place again I’m afraid.

Lovely experience here with my partner good atmosphere and food was unreal. Kaitlyn was brilliant and very attentive to our needs.

tgi fridays is my favorite place to go for a meal, i love the food and this time the service truly made the visit. me and my friend came in and ordered the jack daniel’s chicken strips and they were amazing as per usual. we were served by a lovely lady called Mel, she was so kind and involved. i ordered a refillable drink and throughout the meal i was nearly finished my drink and she came with a full one just in time. the service truly made my day, she was so kind and just did everything she could to make sure our visit was perfect. thank you mel <3

Our server, Georgia, was fantastic! Even late in the day, she was incredibly friendly and energetic. She made us feel so welcome. When there was a slight issue with one of our orders, Georgia replaced it without hesitation and with a smile. That kind of service makes all the difference! Food was great, but Georgia's exceptional service made it a five-star experience.

Staff were lovely, food was nice however 2 for 1 cocktails….what a laugh!! No price on the menu but order my daughter the 2 for 1 as it was her 18th! was not expecting 1 cocktail to be £16!!!!! So your not actually getting 2 for 1! Absolutely ridiculous

We went here on boxing day and despite it being busy our server Georgia was amazing. She was incredibly helpful and really kind and welcoming. She made our experience much better and will definitely be back.

The ambience was lovely, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. We had nachos, potato skins with bacon, and Cajun-spiced chicken fajitas. The food was delicious, but quantity-wise, the nachos weren’t value for money, and overall, everything felt a bit pricey. The Passionate Sunrise mocktails were amazing and definitely a highlight. There was a bit of a wait during peak hours to get seated, as well as for the food to be served. Overall, it was a good experience.

Customer service was excellent, Kaitlyn was lovely and a very helpful. We love going to TGI’s Metro Centre for a family treat, our son loves the food here, the staff always make time to talk to him & he loves the activity packs. Food is always lovely too.

It's a bit pricey, but lovely food and staff are great.

Great experience at TGI Fridays tonight. 1st time for my wife and daughter and they thoroughly enjoyed it and the food. Kaitlyn was a lovely server too.

Was very bad food. Was pork on which is didn’t told us also I did ask for full size Serling steak which came only small pieces charged for said salad but said come with it so we been charged £53 we had very bad experience and both of us fell sick after food

Food is alright, but a bit pricey. They only told me the lunch menu is not available on Friday when I asked, which is not what it said on their website.

My friend and I came here about 2 weeks ago as it was his birthday. To be honest I wasn't too optimistic but thought I'd give it one last chance. The last 2 meals I had here were pretty awful and expensive too. Raw sweet potato in my pasta one time and just overall not great taste or value. Less than bog standard. That goes for the service too. Slow and rude. HOWEVER, this time I must say we were pleasantly surprised! Food and drinks came promptly and were cooked to perfection. Wait staff were lovely. Kind, accommodating and just overall pleasant, leading to a relaxed easy experience. Even got us our free refills so we could sit and have one more drink before we needed to leave. The place has had a hell of an over haul with staff and service and it shows as everything felt way better. Everything WAS better. Keep doing what you're doing!! Thank you for changing my opinion. Extra thanks to the waiter who served us. I'm so sorry I can't remember your name but this was on the 11th of november around 2pm. Such chivalry for a young man in his early 20s. Valued member of staff right there.

My daughter needs gluten free, and this place is amazing. They were really helpful and pleasant. Would definitely recommend

Just felt I had to write a review went here last night for my grandson 14th birthday there was 11 of us , the food is absolutely shocking deep fried greasy chicken with sesame seeds it's vile to cut the story short as a really have no words it was £100 for me and my partner fir greasy chicken and wings and fries ! The only good comment a can say is the staff where lovely but that's it , no wonder they are closing branches elsewhere , would never in a million years return .

It says half price rack Tuesday you get £3 off making it £20.50p rip off tastes nice but when you get the bill it makes you feel like unhappy!

Been here a few times with my daughter on our little dad and daughter days out, we had Kaitlyn serving us today and she was very friendly towards myself and my daughter even making her a little balloon dog to keep. Always enjoy my little trips here cause the food is nice and priced well, but today the already excellent service was better

Food was good as always. Customer service from our server was awful, his attitude was absolutely stinking, I understand people have bad days but to be downright rude to customers for no reason is out of order, didnt even ask for the bill and got it shoved down in front of me as if to say “well go away then”, we’d literally only just finished eating!! That was only one of the many things I picked up on from him. Toilets were also absolutely stinking, pure filthy!!

Bland, tacky decor and design of the restaurant. The food is the most basic bulk bought ingredients, blandly cooked with no seasoning or effort. Prices are too high for the frozen food they serve. Staff were friendly but being served by four different waiters over the course of a meal is confusing and unhelpful for customers and that alike. Would not eat again

Just Brilliant. Entire group of staff were accommodating, checked in on us regularly. The food was perfect. Overall kind and professional team, definitely recommend.

We popped in to the metro centre restaurant for food We were quickly greeted and seen to our table. At this point martyn came over and asked us what drinks we would like and how our day had been he interacted with the kids asking them what drinks they would like and if they had enjoyed there day. Martyn was very polite though out our meal he has a great knowledge of the company as we asked him lots of questions about why there is a motorbike in the restaurant about the rowing boat on the ceiling the propeller above the bar and the peacock glass. He answered all our questions we had a really nice evening and the food was fantastic

Went with my wife and two young daughters whilst visiting Newcastle - been a while since I’ve visited a TGIs - in summary the visit was underwhelming. Table we sat at was sticky with dirty cutlery and food debris still stuck to table . The food was expensive for what it was and pretty basic. The only really redeeming thing that made me give this 3 stars was the excellent service we received from our waitress who was brilliant! She helped us with the discount code and was professional and patient with my girls and attentive throughout our meal and did a great job! Give this girl a rise! Unfortunately won’t be going back as value for money is poor :(

Server was good however the price of food compared to the quality lacking. Grossly over priced for terrible food. The pub next door is far better

I have already written a review on trip advisor however I just wanted to say that the food was okay. However, I was not going to write a review but thought it may be worth a mention. I came in on Friday around 4-5 pm for tea. I noticed that one of the waiters would not leave his girlfriend alone who was working on the bar area (or who seemed like his girlfriend). It made me feel terribly uncomfortable and I could actually see that his girlfriend was getting agitated and upset by him. I just think that there is a time and a place to be arguing with your girlfriend. Hopefully the management will pick up on this and bring this up as it made my experience kind of unpleasant. I would also like to say that the service from the waitress who was serving me was decent and fast.

I was disappointed in TGI Metrocentre not having Garlic mash for me at all. I wish they would have Garlic mash for me instead of saying that there is no Garlic mash for me

We went to TGI’s around 9pm after the cinema and they were very accommodating by still serving food to us. Martyn was really friendly and as always food was great!

Really great food and delicious cocktails (Purple Rain in particular) but all very overpriced. The staff were fantastic.

Lovely service even though we were late, they were generous enough to still let us dine in, not only that the food they served was lovely and I enjoyed every bit! The service from our service, Rachel, was so kind, gave us information and she was so patient! I recommend to eat here!

Brought our drinks after the food arrived. Never got a refill on the soda we ordered. Very unimpressed with the service and portion size of food for the price. Garlic bread that came with the kids meals was way too garlicky and hard to eat.

Our waitress mel was outstanding especially with my 2 year old. She got a little upset and mel came straight over and offered her a sticker and defused the situation. Saved us from meltdown, fantastic service from her

Dropped by here on Saturday for lunch time food. However once sat down and saw the menu, their prices have doubled. £20 for a burger. This is not reasonable at all and for a chain restaurant, too expensive. Walked out and went to chiquitos where their mains were priced correctly at £13-14.

Had a lovely visit to the restaurant today. Food was lovely and our server Jenna was fantastic. Serving not only is but other tables she was attentive and kind. Will definitely be back.

Visited today (Sunday 30th July) and have to say was extremely impressed. I have just found out that I have intolerances to wheat and milk. When I told the staff member this she was very helpful and showed me where to find information on the menu. She then alerted her manager who came over and further assisted. He was also very helpful and very friendly and went above and beyond to make our visit as nice as possible. Food was spot on and we enjoyed our meals very much. Highly recommend TGI Metro based upon my experience today, thanks to all the staff for being so friendly and helpful :)

Sat down and drinks order taken by Jenna straight away. Food order taken waiting about 45-60mins for kids meal and burger which i thought was a little long as it was not too busy. Food came and was as expected and is very overpriced and portions have shrank (shrinkflation strikes again) Jenna replaced my finish drink without even asking which is just how i want it to be. Great service👍 Served twice by Jenna and been a pleasure everytime
