Food was cold and I had to heat it up in the microwave which spoilt my burger

Burgers are expensive but excellent. Drinks machine has a vast array of drinks to choose from. The fries are also superb with the extra dish they put in.

Driver was driving around in circles and called me to tell me he was lost. He had broken English so I couldn’t understand him. Even though the hotel is close to the restaurant lit up like a Christmas tree he couldn’t find it which resulted in stone cold soggy wet burger which went in the bin. I even tipped the driver before hand so paid £20 for a cold wet non edible burger. Thanks

The burger was amazing, order and delivery was easy and on time. I have ordered the Cajun fries before and loved them but they were far too spiced tonight and I had to bin them. Only downside was half my meal ended up inedible .

Very poor value for money. Food okay, but absolutely NOT worth the price.

Literally the worst experience I've had at a Five Guys. Food arrived late and cold, to the point where it wasn't pleasurable to eat, the chips having that "cold potato" taste. One of the burgers wasn't wrapped correctly, with the sauce spilling out over the other burger and a portion of chips in the same bag. I'm not sure how this went so wrong today. This is one of the only orders I've placed where the majority of it ended up in the bin. On a positive, the drinks arrived cold and were good.

appalling £47 for 2 burgers, chips and drinks burgers weren't very good, i did not want a drink however the server in it's broken english seemed to fail to understand that perhaps employ english staff, it is england after all otherwise, food was poor, chips were too salty and not much choice for drinks i will never visit again

Food was warm and nothing missing for once!

Was very busy when we went- that’s what you get for going on a weekend- but staff and service were very quick and efficient. Didn’t get everything right in our order but it was so busy the things they missed were just the minor details. If you’re gluten free (not celiac) the lettuce wrap and bowl options are pretty decent. Fatima our server at the till was super helpful and friendly, very patient with our list of request.

Yesterday Friday 29th of November, I visited the Metro Centre travelling from Middlesbrough and I really wanted a Five Guys Burger and Fries as I ain't had it for a very long time. I wasn't disappointed as the cheese burger I received was absolutely out of this world and beautifully cooked but the favourite of them all was the fries that I received, honestly their the best fries/chips I've ever had and I was happy to pay £14.30 for my lunch as that was worth my money. When I return to the Metro Centre in the future, I will be returning to this Five Guys as the food I received was fantastic.

It was hard to leave a review for my food that was “delivered” at 17:05 because I did not receive my delivery. I called Five Guys and the lady informed me it was picked up at 17:05 yet never made it to me.

Love the food and the staff are always super helpful and friendly!

Ordered a fair few times, every time been 10/10, quick delivery and great food. Today, cold. Fries barely cooked, stone cold and soggy. Very disappointed unfortunately, and im never one to complain but was disappointed tonight.

Ok, first time trying this place after alot of hype from others .. the staff were great. Explained how you order, options etc. food is cooked and made to order, and tastes so much better than the likes of the golden arches place. However, does the cost justify the meal.. not in my opinion, it's an expensive burger n fries. Tried once. Doubt I'll be back.

Absolutely vile!! Burger and hot dog were squashed as if someone had sat on them. Burger was like the cheapest burger ever.The hot dog was tiny and awful. What a waste of money, never going back!!

Served by Jovian tonight, great friendly guy, was very helpful as it was our first time trying here, lived up to what it is, American diner experience, good food freshly made not overcomplicated. Milkshakes are also good 😎

Don't get the hype over this place. Burgers are pricey but I suppose eating out everywhere is these days. The refillable drink prices @ £4.25 are disgraceful though. Toilets were manky. No toilet roll in some cubicles and some cubicle blocked and overflowing.

No straws with milkshake food freezing cold

No more than an expensive Burger King. Thought we would try here as we heard lots of good things but it didn't live up to it's hype. Found it very overpriced for what was offered. Chips looked as though they were thrown into the bag. I had a bacon cheese burger and the bacon was like charcoal and the burger itself didn't have much in flavour. I can say I've tried it but won't be back in a rush.

driver seemed to get lost as it was a long time from the on the way message until he got here. then he took the wrong lift (we have one for even floors and one for odd floors). last time I ordered from here the burger was delicious but the fries were cold. so this time I only ordered a burger without fries. sadly my burger was cold this time, I assume because of the delay. as it isn't something I could heat up I ate it cold. Still tasty but nowhere near as good as it should have been.

The order did not arrive. Called the restaurant at 6.10 after the status changed to courier at the restaurant and didn’t change from 5.42. The restaurant told me to contact just eat and I’m awaiting their response. The status changed to delivered at 7.37.

fabulous burger, nice and juicy. gorgeous smoothie/milkshake (the new raspberry one). lost a point because chips were cold. I saved them for later and airfried them for my supper.

Visited the Metrocentre for some shopping and decided to grab a bite to eat at Five Guys. I opted for the Bacon Cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and grilled onions paired with Cajun Fries. The burger was smaller than I had hoped but very juicy and flavourful. The Cajun fries were well seasoned and cooked well. Service was rather quick, we only waited 5 minutes from ordering to service. The meal was very filling due to the amount of fries, I left feeling very full. Slightly on the expensive side but if it is a satisfying meal it is arguably worth it.

Was advised that delivery would be 45 mins - however it kept changing every 10 mins and took nearly 90 mins to arrive

Ordered a burget and fries. Received 2 lots of fries. How hard is it to check an order before sending it out?

One of the few burger chains to offer bunless options for those of us not doing bread. 👍🏼 Just wish those of us choosing a lettuce wrap or burger in a bowl were offered a reduction in price. It feels a con to pay the same as those having the bun. 👎🏼

Probably my favourite for fast food, good service always freshly cooked and very nice. Can't fault it apart from being a little on the pricey side, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Awful experience waited 20 minutes for my burger, for them to say they have lost my order. Weren’t apologetic about things and quite frankly rude. Manger didn’t care, and didn’t want to be there. Won’t be going again.

Delivery charge, service charge and I noticed you put the price of everything up through the app compared to the five guys restaurant. Ordered 2 hours ahead for timed delivery and it was 20 minutes late.

Always decent, those complaining about the price don’t get this place, you pay for the freshness and quality. Always loads of chips so you can share, staff are normally proper generous and if you’re lucky they’ll give you an extra cup if there’s two of you and you just order one soda. Never had a bad meal in any Five Guys and the staff at the Metrocentre are great. It might be an expensive burger but it’s 100% worth it. And the milkshakes…. 🙂‍↔️

A review simply to implore people who have not visited Five Guys and are curious to understand the hype, to reconsider, and go to where you already know you will get satisfactory value for money. Visited with excitement and paid over £20 for a double bacon cheeseburger, fries and a drink - without table service. At the price point you assume it must be good. The sandwich was fine. Just average. Bland patties, tasteless bacon and cheese. It left me wondering why this place has the reputation it has for its burgers. Fries, again fine, they’re skin-on salty fries so you can’t really go wrong. But for a good bit less money, you can go to the Golden Arches, and get a much tastier (in my opinion of course), Double Quarter Pounder, fries, drink, an additional side of nuggets/cheese dippers, and an ice cream/pie. You decide.

Have just been metro centre ordered 3 burgers 2 chips 3 drinks £60 had 2 send 2 burgers back as not cooked service was terrible food was horrible will not be back ever again

Hello readers, I visited this unique establishment today. Despite the name ‘Five Guys’ there was in fact not five guys here. I ordered the NEW pistachio milkshake. They had no pistachio. I don’t understand why FIVE GUYS do not stock their new popular menu item, I was severely disappointed. However, I ordered anyway and decided on the Peanut butter and chocolate. It was excellent but the disappointment from not being able to try the pistachio overshadowed this. Overall, I have rated the milkshake 4/5. Thank you Five Guys

They serve the best burgers in the universe. I’ve been here many, many times and it’s still the same taste and quality. Rebecca F. is the best staff member I’ve ever dealt with in all Five Guys branches in the world!

This is bacon blasphemy at its finest! I don’t know who’s idea it was to cobble together a milkshake containing bacon, because it certainly does not work and my night has been ruined. Furthermore, i was appalled by the blatant false advertising as there were only 4 staff in the kitchen (only 3 of which were guys). My disappointment is immeasurable and to top it all off I had to use 3 straws to finish this amalgamation of vile slop. I will certainly not be back here any time soon and I warn anyone else who plans on visiting. The only positive that can be drawn from this disgraceful visit was that the service was hasty. >:(

How are people supposed to drink milkshakes when you don’t include straws, three milkshakes and not one straw, that’s absolutely ridiculous, I’m gonna start going to kaspas as this has happened so many times now it’s annoying

Burgers we're really dry no dressing or salad dissapointed

Ordered 14/2/24. Walked past this place a few times so I thought I'd pop in and order a single cheeseburger by itself just to try the place out for a quick snack. Waited 25 minutes for my number to be called out. 25 minutes!!!! There was about three people already eating and one other person waiting for 2 burgers. The place was almost empty let's say. I'D HATE TO BE THERE WHEN IT WOULD BE BUSY. While I was waiting one of the staff 'out of about 6 behind the counter' was being timed to get a order put together and placed at the collection point 'by management I assume'. Just over 10 minutes was her time. Which leads me to wonder why I had to wait as long as I did, after seeing that timed order come and go and still having to wait longer. Plenty of other staff looked busy but I don't know what for as they only had to produce 3 burgers between me and someone else. Unfortunately this is not good enough and I shall not be returning, the burger wasn't too bad albeit over priced but not worth the wait. First impressions are important enough for any returning customers and with the vast amount of other places within the metro centre food court five guys need to up their game.

Five Guys seems popular so we decided to give it a go. The ordering process is chaotic and unorganised, just numbers being screamed by unhappy staff. The environment is okay, but very cheesy and cleanliness is questionable. I’m not a fan of having to get your own drinks, makes it difficult while balancing a burger! The food itself was a massive letdown. The burgers are messy and despite the quality ingredients claim, we’re tasteless. I couldn’t eat it and was disturbed to have a pink burger. Fries were just thrown in the bag, overflowing and very messy. They were so mediocre and basic, little taste. Customer service is appalling. Sure, our burgers were refunded, but didn’t enjoy meal so didn’t eat the chips so should have got it back. Manager very informal and laughing at us complaining. Customer service department is just as bad - arrogant attitude believing they know best. I’ll never return, massively overpriced, disgusting food, attitude and a mediocre environment. Definitely just a trend, probably wouldn’t survive without.

Delicious burgers and enough fries for 2 people with one portion. Love creating our own burger with extras for no extra charge. 😋

It's expensive but it's good. A tip if would he to share a drink as its free re fills, and share chips. Me and my daughter got 2 small burgers, 1 regular chips, and 1 regular drink. It was £25 and still had chips left over. They throw loads of chips in the bag.

Well worth the price, for a chain Resteraunt, their burgers are amazing. Add to this that you can fully customise your burger and the portion size of the fries is insane.

Meal for 4 at a fast food chain for £50 4 burgers 1 portion of fries even though we asked for 4 I'm glad we only got one as they were far to salty soft drink was flat and watery table was a messy on arrival I had to wipe it down before the food was served however the burger was fresh and enjoyable Sorry but I won't be a returning customer as you can get better quality and lower price from a local independent chain

Took longer than usual from ordering to arriving and, unusually for Five Guys, the food wasn't very hot. Still relatively tasty, but not the usual five stars this time.

I love a Five Guys, and normally I can't fault them, but this one wasn't the best, the food was great, service was lacking, order was wrong, small thing asked for cajun fries got normal, but, and it's my fault, I didn't go back and ask them to change, I was too hungry, so the service scores low, but the food the usual high score, even if they weren't the cajun fries I'd asked for.

Good food as expected, was a treat and didnt fail to deliver, cost wasn't to bad but for a treat you have to have some luxury every now n then

Burgers were squished and only just warm, nothing like the quality of an instore purchase. Won't be ordering for delivery again, and this has put me off buying instore again too.

Wrong order the driver gave me the wrong order

Didn't fancy a burger really and had initially gone to Slim Chicken next door, but somehow they had managed to run out of chips! While my daughter had her tea at Slim Chicken (she doesn't like chips), I ordered from Five Guys online to collect. When I went to collect, the person serving said they would be a few more minutes (didn't even realise they were being slow to be fair) and offered me a cup for a complimentary drink. Great service and a very enjoyable burger (and chips).

Food cold , really bad value for money

First time at Five Guys. Heard lots of hype about it so gave it a try. Bought 2 burgers, 1 chips and 2 drinks.... £35. I wouldn't have minded if it was worth it. Bland, greasy burgers in cheap buns. Loads of fries in the bag but VERY salty, so they weren't eaten. Absolute waste of money. Go to the Chinese buffet opposite for better food and value.

Food was over priced. Cost 35 pounds for 2 burgers, one portion of chips snd 2 drinks. Chips had way too much salt on and the burger was just awful and really cheap tasting. Will never go back. Rather go to McDonald's.

Food was nice for what it was but it wasn't amazing. I think it's a bit overpriced especially since it was £30+ for two burgers, one portion of chips and two regular drinks. My son enjoyed it which is what matters but don't think we'll be making regular visits

Seems to be a pattern with just eat. Forgot a milkshake (£5+). Don't know how it's such a regular thing when restaurants can't count 2 items into a bag!!!!! Burgess were nice but can't takeaway from the fact that you pay for missing items!

Very over rated burger place that could do with a makeover as it’s getting very dated now. It’s also very expensive for a meal that’s no better than a McDonald’s. In fact a McDonald’s burger doesn’t drip out lots of burger fat like my Hamburger did. The price is also extremely expensive! for £43 we received 1 x Hamburger, 1 x Cheese Burger, Hotdog and 3 cokes. Save your money and go to BK or McDonalds. On a good note the staff were really helpful and professional and our table was clean. Safe to say will not be returning

The burgers are lovely but massively overpriced! Especially since you have to wait a while and listen for your number, then collect it yourself. I felt a bit hustled at the till when ordering, too. If you don't like over-salted chips, make sure you ask for no salt at the till or be prepared to have a mouth like Ghandi's flipflop! My daughter likes the burgers, but I'd rather not have to remortgage the house to feed 3.
