The best restaurants in Whickham North Gateshead North East

Visited today and ended up placing two orders, the wraps are my favourite thing on the menu. Kirk and Will served me and they were both lovely. Will definitely be coming back!

Tenía la hamburguesa 'De Vlaeminck' y era excelente. Una empanada jugosa muy espesa con un sabor encantador. Tenía una porción generosa de pastrami que se cortó en rodajas delgadas tan agradables y ligeras. Las patatas fritas eran muy promedio. No muy crujiente y solo eran tibios. Mi novia estaba más satisfecha por sus patatas fritas cursis que se mantuvieron calientes sobre todo debido al queso. Usaban rodajas de queso de tan poca calidad pero no eran demasiado caras por lo que eran. El personal era muy agradable y el lugar es acogedor, así como claramente popular. Es local para nosotros en un área limitada, así que probablemente a algún lugar vamos de nuevo.

Lunch today, nice and quiet as 11 45 , so not many in and meals good portions staff very friendly and obliging as requested extra serviettes. Prices good only one problem salt was wet but would still go back as I use too much salt anyway and I could have asked for another salt seller. Have 6friends who lunch for each other’s birthdays so will suggest going here.

Great tea and coffee and snacks at sensible prices - this has become one of our favorite places min the metro cantre

Within Whickham's Community Gardens located off Whickham Highway is this "hidden gem" of a cafe. Great coffee, delicious cakes with a good selection to choose from. Friendly staff in a warm and welcoming environment. I'm looking forward to a return visit.

Today we ate at ask Italian at the metro centre and it was absolutely delicious. Chloe served us and she was very friendly and served us promptly. Me and my mum both had pizzas which were nice and for the price it was a large size. We also had some olives which were standard but still tasted good and finally we had some mocktails which were divine! Looking forward to returning!

The food is disgusting and un edible the staff are extremely rude and un educated I can’t understand why anyone puts boiled onions on a pizza

I love Wagamama but the restaurant at the Metrocentre is on another level. The food is amazing!

Lovely food and brilliant delivery

This was our first time ordering fron here but I can confidently say I will be back for more. My husband and daughter had the butter chicken, they thought it was lovely and creamy, I had the chicken tikka masala, it has a little bit of a kick that I didn't expect (I'm not very good with spice at all) but the taste was beautiful. I wish I took some pics but I couldn't wait to dig in 😂

I recently visited Caffè Nero at the Metrocentre and ordered my usual hot chocolate, which was as delightful as always—smooth, rich, and satisfying. However, I was a bit disappointed with the pistachio cake. While it had a nice flavor, the texture felt a bit too dry for my liking, and it didn’t quite meet the usual standard I’ve come to expect from their baked goods. Overall, great hot chocolate, but I might opt for a different cake next time.
