One of my favourite local restaurants. Great food at decent prices.

Last minute decision to go out for a meal and my parents highly recommended the place so decided to come here. I had fillet stroganoff and my husband had sirloin Diana. Both absolutely gorgeous and cooked to perfection! Plus the servers were so lovely and attentive but also gave you space to sit and enjoy your meal. After our dinner we went upstairs to the cocktail bar and it is beautifully decorated! Stunning. The two lads on the bar were great as well. Personal preference but when we turned up, they had Evanescence on and it was amazing to sit in a beautiful bar with decent drink and good music!!

Been here a few times foods ok and reasonable priced

Had an amazing date night at 1771, both meals were top notch and morish. Had mocktails and they were tasty and refreshing. Finished by desert which I inhaled it was brilliant. Service was quick, polite and friendly. We will be back.

Had a lovely time on 29th March. Mother's Day treat from my daughter. Food was amazing and staff very attentive. Thank you.

Having visited this restaurant many many times since it opened and loved it my visit today for Sunday lunch was really disappointing due to a female member of staff who came to take out order, we ordered exactly the same as last Sunday a beef dinner and a chicken dinner with no mash her attitude was it’s either no veg or veg I said I’m a regular and don’t eat mash as I’m allergic to butter which I can smell as soon as my plate is put down and makes me feel sick I can’t even open a tub of butter or I’m sick and she repeated it’s veg or no veg with such an attitude and left saying she would ask her manager. Well she never came back with a reply and the waitress the manager and the bar maid stood laughing and looking over at myself, the male waiter brought our food and low and behold there was mash on my plate which when I looked over at them they were laughing again. I didn’t eat much and refused a desert which we would normally have and my friend would have another glass of wine, she then plonked our bill on the table without us asking for it so we paid and left without leaving the usual £5-£10 tip and we won’t be back. We did comment last week that it wasn’t busy as normal and the same today it’s just a shame a young miserable waitress spoils a local restaurant which I’ve spent a lot of money in gets away with bad service, really disappointing and I will be telling everyone and I live locally 😡

Great place foods amazing staff lovely

Paid almost £28 for our takeaway to get the most disgusting stinking pizza that we have ever had it actually smelt and tasted mouldy....not sure what happened as we have ordered from.here before.....never again ....rang up to complain,lady answered the phone after we explained what was wrong she replied.....OK thank you bye then hung up...we rang back and a gentleman answered....explained what was wrong and was there a manger etc I could speak to ??? This was 8.30pm ...he said no all gone home and we are now closed. Complain to just eat . Omg there was oh no I'm am sorry this has happened nothing.... STAY CLEAR !

The food is disgusting and un edible the staff are extremely rude and un educated I can’t understand why anyone puts boiled onions on a pizza

Surprisingly good. It's down a flight of stairs so not ideal for anyone with limited mobility, but all in all the food was good and the portions decent. I had the Sunday roast dinner and it was lovely. My only criticism is there is only one thing listed on the menu for kids; chicken nuggets and chips which isn't great but we just ordered a pizza and took what she couldn't finish home. Would definitely return and recommend

The dinner was ok,the chicken was still on the bone and I ordered extra beef which was processed which I wouldn’t even give to my dog! Very disappointed

Fantastic local Italian Restaurant and Bar. The food is fantastic and great value for money. The staff are always lovely.

A lovely lunch, very friendly staff

Went to give it a try as never been before even tho its local and found the food to be just ok. The food seemed to be rushed and you could taste that in the pasta. Pizza looked very simple and not what you would expect for a meat feast pizza. Potato skins where probably the best out of the food. As stated it was ok we ate it but would not be rushing back anytime soon. Service was very rushed aswel came across they wanted us in and out.

Superb food and excellent service

I have coeliac disease and have very limited options of where I can dine safely. I am always very nervous to try new venues. However on Saturday 30th I went to dine at this venue. I am also vegetarian I had potato skins and main course penne arrabbiata. It was great . My serious reaction happens within two hours and generally last for 4 to 5 hours!!! Great news no negative reactions (thanks )!!! Staff friendly and helpful will I go back? Yes for sure. Would I recommend? very much recommended.

The food is always really lovely here and a good price too. The Black Pudding in Pepper Sauce was delicious and I thought I’d try the Chicken Stroganoff last night and must give it 10 out of 10. Looking forward to my next visit!

Popped in here on the off chance they had space for us, and they did. Great choice of food, plenty of it and we all enjoyed our dinner. Dog friendly too.

Just had Sunday lunch at 1771. Great Sunday dinner with plenty of meat and vegetables. Service was excellent and atmosphere very relaxing. Definitely recommend. Hope to be back soon.

Nice restaurant and good service, good deals on steaks Tuesday and Wednesday

Went for Sunday lunch they have a new rule you cant ask for a dinner with1 veg removed you either have all the veg or no veg. The cabbage was very stringy & it was all small portions The chicken was a little chicken portion on the bone, the pork was a square of belly pork no sliced meat

I ordered Sunday dinner from on here for delivery. The whole meal bad weird taste and had to be chucked away. It arrive cold and was swimming in gravy so the mash was just mush. The Yorkshire pudding was just a flat thing. Looked really unappetising then the disgusting taste. Such a waste of money and I wish I’d checked the hygiene rating before ordering.

This places is exceptionally amazingly delicious. I'm celiac, they caterd for me down to a T... 5 stars all around. The staff where perfect 👌🏼 the food was perfect 👌🏼. Such a cosy place to be in too. Thank you.

Absolutely love this place. Whether it’s eating in the restaurant or having the food delivered, it is always beautiful. My main go to is Cajun pasta and the meatballs are WOW. The Sunday dinners are also amazing!

After shopping at the MetroCentre we decided to stop for lunch on the way home. What a lovely restaurant! The place itself is lovely and welcoming and really nice staff. I chose from the 3 Course special, soup and pasta. There was a good choice of pasta/pizza. The pasta was lovely, fresh and very tasty. My husband choose from the main menu with chicken pate and a chicken dish. Again both lovely and chicken wasn't dry. It is definitely worth a stop if you are passing. Highly recommend

Visited with my friend for Sunday lunch, very quick service and staff lovely. Sunday dinner was good too.

We have visited here twice in the last week. The staff are really lovely here, polite, excellent communication skills and helpful. The food is not expensive. £9.95 for pasta and pizza. There is a special for 3 courses for only a few pounds more. I highly recommend this fairly sizeable restaurant on Swalwell bank just a few moments drive from the A1 and the metrocentre.

Just had Sunday lunch it was lovely staff great would go back only negative guy on the pass not using tongs or gloves to place Yorkshire pudds into take away bags he has been stratching his hair ears pre bagging and not sanitising his hands a very big no no.

Ordered a pizza. Delivery driver lied about trying to deliver it. I have an outside camera that proves they never even came up my drive. Lovely pizzas, appauling service. Will not be ordering from these again.

Used room upstairs for private function. Food order spot on for 28 people and everyone got food together. Staff lovely very friendly definitely recommend.

Food was delicious ordered a chicken in cream sauce dish and a Pizza both were lovely , chicken was cooked perfectly and was a lovely dish, pizza was also very good. Would definitely order again and recommend to friends. Thank-you

The food was slightly burnt. The delivery driver was very abrupt and rude. He came to the back door with no access and told me to come to the back door. When he eventually delivered he mouthed off. He’s lucky he didn’t get the food wedged in his face. I use this restaurant to sit in and for delivery! 50 pounds and more at a time. If I ever get spoke to like that again I will not be returning

The pizza was so good I recommend this place if you love Italian food. The Staff was really nice and we're very kind. The only downside was 2 pesky flies circling the table but besides that it was amazing.

I did not enjoy the food at all. Pizza soggy and lacked taste. Pate unpleasant to eat.

Pizza was lovely so was the garlic bread but the potato skins were overdone and the chips were too. Shame as the food is usually lovely.

Recently visit for a baby shower,venue beautiful loved the decore, food was delicious and staff were amazing, friendly,very patient and more than helpful towards everyone. My daughter and neice enjoyed Trying the mocktails,that were also presented so beautifully with the little decorations of fruit on the glass, the girls loved them,so tasty too and not bad priced at all for all drinks and food. Would definitely recommend 👌 5 stars from me

The Carbonara was good, the pizza was a let down. Hardly any topping. Usually 10/10 this place. But this experience wasn’t so good

Vegetarian risotto, couldnt fault it... Scorching hot and extremely tasty

41 pound on two Sunday dinners for them to have ran out of sausage and gave us belly pork which was awful. The roasties weren't cooked through and rock hard. The stuffing was a tiny bit of tasteless mush. The worst meal I've had from here and Definitely not worth the money. Gutted it was such a let down.

Four of us squashed on a table for two, poor quality fillet steak, the chef got the orders wrong, one steak sent back, cooked ok second time but then the chips were under cooked.

they kept moving the time that it was going to arrive to the point I didn't think i was going to get my food. it went from arriving at 14.10 to finally getting it 15.47. not happy with the service at all

Family had been here a few times. 1st time for me. Plenty of parking outside as part of a large area shared by a few restaurants. On arrival greeted with what seems a slightly dated pub and shown to a table which was unnecessarily small for the 4 of us (especially as not busy). Only lagers on draught and nonie of them especially mainstream. Laminated menus contained a good selection of chicken and steak options plus others. We were a table of chicken by habit with combinations of Diane sauces and, in my case, a spicy peppers, chorizo, chilli sauce with a big butterfly prawn. Served with either chips (looked good and handmade but couldn’t snare one from the rest of the party) or vegetables. Food was decent. Prices reasonable. Difficult to find a menu online and the one I did had well out of date prices. Dessert offering a bit more of a joke with only 3 options - cheesecake, tirimasu or a slice of cake. So we passed.

They do a lunch time special. I had tomato soup started very weak a bit like tinned soup watered down. I asked for merchant without chilly. I got pasta with some tomato flavour certainly not what I wanted it was tasteless. My friend has potato skins then pizza, they said they were very nice. Unfortunately my was very poor so won't be going back. Disappointed as it had been recommended.

A delicious meal. I had the chicken in pepper sauce - the sauce was divine. If the skin on the chicken leg were just crisped up, it would've been absolutely perfect.

Usually spot on (apart from the packaging of the food), but ordered this when got in from work starving. The delivery time said within 20 mins- half an hour which was usual, but after half an hour we checked and the time changed, then another half hour went and it had changed again. By the time it did come we had already drank a bottle of wine (it's my mam's birthday)and gone past the hunger stage, so half has been left. Also think I've said this before, but when packing the food, don't put the light half empty cartons on the bottom and the pasta/risotto/chips on the top cos they always squash down, tip over and the sauce ends up all over the cartons and in the bottom of the bag 😢

We had the lunch special two course £9.95 each which was lovely potato skins for starters then pizza and pasta share ,extremely good value with excellent service.

Pizza not very nice, had too much tomato base, and wasn’t very tasty. Ordered chips but got wedges, they weren’t the best. Won’t be in a rush to order from here again.

Took family for birthday meal Sunday have to say food was fantastic couldn't fault it lovely clean place staff always there to help didn't have to wait long prices are very good my kids loved it granny did to as she doesn't eat much and got kids Sunday lunch which she loved and kids took rest of there pizzas and potato skins with sauce home which was all boxed up by staff to take home and they were very nice cut me a big slice of cake put a cake in rang the bell sang happy birthday to me which was really thoughtful of the staff and boxed my cake up for me to take home no extra cost thank you all for amazing day 😍😍 will be visiting again xxxx 10/10 from me and my family 😀

I've ordered from here for delivery 3 times now and it's always really good, the food is amazing and still piping hot when we get it and it's so delicious.

Called in for our tea because it was our daughters birthday it's was lovely! Even our son who is autistic actually sat and ate without a fuss so was a massive success for us all!!

Everything I ordered was delicious and amazing quality the prawns in the pasta were huge and tasty and the chicken on the pizza and pasta was proper bits of chicken breast. Good quality food.
