Sunday dinners are so good and great value

Fabulous restaurant, the staff, the food, the atmosphere is absolutely amazing. It's our go-to place for delicious Italian food when we go to The Little Theatre, when we have friends & relatives visiting or we just want a lovely lunch or teatime meal, as the special menu is fabulous value too. 10/10 from us every time.

Uncooked mussels and uncooked batter on the onion rings. Was such a let down as the food USED TO BE so good here

Chips were inedible, overcooked, dry and hard as nails. When this was pointed out to the manager his response was "they are not dry" in an unfriendly manner and did not offer any replacement or discount. Very bad customer service!

Went here on a Saturday night for a meal after reading the great reviews on here. I was a little apprehensive walking in as the carpet on the stairs is very worn and dirty. I received a very warm welcome in the restaurant and was seated almost immediately. We had a bottle of Prosecco which was reasonably priced and a black pudding and port belly starter. The starter wasn’t great and didn’t have much taste. It was also very dry like it had been reheated. I ordered the steak Funghi for a main which was supposed to be a red wine sauce. Unfortunately it was more like a gravy. However, the steak was cooked to perfection. My partner had a chicken dish and the sauce on that was very good. We were recommended the ‘Primavera’ cocktail to finish from the waiter. I’m not sure if he’s ever tried it, but it tasted like a flat Diet Coke. I’d advise against trying it unless you enjoy said mentioned drink.

Food and service was really good. We went during happy hour and got 50%off the menu😁. Pretty much everything could be made Gluten Free

Second time there and will continue. Quality, Value, Service all top notch. Staff cheerful polite. Free cake for birthday peeps. Great place

We visit Primavera regularly We travel 50 + miles all round to visit It's definitely one of the best Italians in the North East The food is always excellent the owner Flag and his team are brilliant The chefs Hysen, Nunu, Florin and the Legend Peter are fabulous people We can easily recommend Primavera

First time visiting this restaurant and i only went because it is one of the few places that still do a seafood pizza. I had that and my friend had the pepperoni. Both were really nice and we had the king prawn starter, which was lovely. Staff were friendly and attentive and we will definitely return.

Have been previously albeit a few years ago now. Food quality had gone down dramatically. Seafood pizza was tasteless. Fried squid starter also no flavour and excessively greasy. No soon had we finished our starters than our mains arrived. Desert tiramasu was OK. Other desertion banana split contained only3 slices of banana in each. Waiting staff were overly pushing alcohol including shots at 6pm at a family meal. Then the bill arrived. It didn't look right so asked for a menu to check prices. Bill was £15.90 over the correct price. When I queried the Bill the manager immediately said he'd made a mistake as he'd included the deserts twice in error without even checking the bill fully.The correct prices had also been added up wrong. I recommend checking your bill if you go here. I will not be going back.

A friend and I met there for lunch and took advantage of the £5.95 lunch deal. It actually felt like taking advantage as it's remarkable value. I had minestrone soup, a pepperoni pizza which I think must have been 12" and a coffee. I couldn't fault it, especially for the price. Staff were attentive and friendly. Unfortunately but understandably there's no wheelchair access as the restaurant is on the first floor.

Restaurant cold and very shabby, seats peeling, floor dirty etc. Food not wonderful won’t be retuning far better places locally to eat

This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem, excellent food and incredible value for money. Most certainly worth a visit.

My first visit here and I was very impreseed. Staff were friendly and attentive, the food was good, portions huge and prices inexpensive.

Great lunch menu. Very reasonably priced. Tasty potato skins and fish meal for less than £ 8.00. Thank you. Again the same food. Served efficiently by quiet young man. Fish was beautifully cooked and served with excellent fresh salad. Thanks. Today had minestrone soup delicious followed by sea bream and chips. My sister and I were visiting the restaurant with family who attend this restaurant very regularly. The food was lovely and very reasonably priced. Staff were easy to chat to and obviously knew their regular customers. I'm sure that I'll be back when next up in Gateshead.

I never had a favourite restaurant... until I came to Primavera ❤️. Lush Italian food, loveliest staff, wonderful atmosphere (I definitely recommend going on your birthday for a Primavera celebration) and great value. 2 cocktails for £11 and a whole AMAZING pizza for £7-9, how can u say no to that?! Do check out their Lunch Course menu / Dinner Course, always worth it. I definitely recommend Primavera! 🤤

Very poor. If you like good food AVOID if you like cheap and almost cheerful this is for you. Uncomfortable - Chairs falling apart decor dated. Please update furnishings and decor. Service - Friendly Servers. Manager very energetic. Made peoples birthdays special. We were asked 4 times during starter if everything was OK and 5 times during Main. Too much. 1 server per table please. Felt very rushed from start to finish. Parking terrible. Insult to Italy: Muscles - Terrible. Sauce was bland with thick onion. Cheaply made and tasted it. No way these are fresh muscles as described. Carbonara - Simply cream, ham & pasta. Awful no care nothing like a carbonara. Bolognese Pizza - tasted like tinned Bolognese poured on a poor Margarita. No substance no flavour. This place in incredibly cheap probably why it has some OK reviews but it is priced like this for a reason.

Out with my daughters for a birthday meal, the chair leg was broken and daughter fell to the floor, fortunately she'd just put the baby in the high chair, staff did ask how she was, thou felt as though they just dismissed the situation... Felt hurried to order food, and no sooner was the course finished, plates where taken away and the next course been brought out

Great value for money 3 courses £5.95 !!! Portion size excellent have visited several times have never been disappointed

Lower your standards before you enter. Horrible wine, pizza and "Special Pasta". It is reasonably priced though, but I'd rather pay more to get some real Italian food.

We went here on a recent visit to Newcastle to see family. The restaurant might not look much from the outside but it's really a hidden gem. The atmosphere was really good and the service excellent with my wife's gluten free requirements being taken care of really well. Three of our party had pizza, while I had one of the best carbonaras I've ever had. We even had the waiter check the bill afterwards as we genuinely believed they'd missed something off! But no, it was correct, which made for superb value. Definitely worth a visit!

This is good fresh food. We would love to stay longer to try the rest of the menu which we have seen being served. They have a three course menu for a good price compared to others. The owner is interested in you and wants to give you a good evening. This is where the locals go to. Amazing how many people were there. You don't expect it from the outside.

Brilliant Italian restaurant in the heart of Low Fell, friendly and attentive staff and good selection of delicious pizzas and pasta and also soup and specials. It's our favourite place to go whether it be for an evening meal for an occasion or for a lunch out. Highly recommended

Food was good staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, would recommend.

Visited last night. Staff attentive and friendly. Choices of food, good. Catered for gluten free diet. Value for money. However 3 out of 4 foods were a bit overdone, burnt black some bits. Also the entrance needs a good clean and smelt very damp, needs redecorating. Toilets could be overhauled too.

This Italian is absolutely beautiful. The staff are so lovely. The lasagne is to die for!!! Great food at great prices. The manager is called Flag (hopefully I spelt his name correctly), he is so nice. We loved the bread that much he gave us a couple of slices to take home. 😁❤️. Totally recommend 5 stars from me. x

Fantastic food and service. We both had soup to start, which was thick and tasty, and then main meals from the specials board which were both faultless.

4 of us visited and weren't disappointed. On request, potato skins were cooked gluten free. Good choice of pizzas and pasta, including gluten free. The Sunday roast was tasty and plentiful. The beef was tender and good selection of veg with a home made Yorkshire pudding. The prawn starters were juicy and tasty. Pizzas were delicious. Great service and all reasonably priced. A lovely lunch.

Food very good! I had the 2 course special for £10.95 of potato skins with garlic dip and Chicken Diane with chips. Chicken was cooked to perfection and Diane sauce very tasty with big,chunky lovely home made chops.yum! Only criticism and very slight one. . waiting staff were a little too attentive with us being asked too many times if all was OK and my friend felt rushed with them keep wanting to clear plates away.otherwise a lovely dining experience and will definitely go back!

Haven't been here due to not been open. First day opening. Took my Aunty for Sunday lunch. Had a 3 course for £8.95. Can say starter soup. Potato and leek or minestrone. Delicious. Then a roast day. Coffee or ice cream for afters. Great service and brillant value for money in these times. Highly recommend. Food was fantastic. We'll be back. Already booked again for through the week!

The food was alright , nothing special and we found hair in two of our dishes. The pizzas and garlic bread were very oily . Service was ok. Not in a rush to go back .

Well meant to be a nice night out however. Staff everywhere, we were being rushed, constantly being asked ... and having individual stuff taken away instead of leaving us too it when one of us hadnt finished. We went out for a nice night not to be hasselled and see staff being bossed around. Staff need to be in areas not everywhere. Food ok

Arrived to be greeted by a scruffy looking staircase. My wife needed the toilet when she returned she had to tell them that 1 toilet was blocked the other one badly stained and the waste bin overflowing with hand towels. Meal its self was very tasty. When we left the toilets were still in same condition. This restaurant needs to be refurbed urgently it is very tired looking. We Will not be returning.

Nothing wrong with the food, but our evening was spoilt because the manager stood behind me for the whole lenght of our meal in a load voice (aprox 15/20 minutes )talking to another diner about Albania and the tourist industry there, he also talked about the break in at the restaurant and other stuff, my partner and i were unable to have our own conversation because his intruded on ours, I approached him before leaving and he said it was part of customer service to talk to diners, I agree, but he must be aware of other diners and their customer service.
