Lovely lunch at Ask Italian. We both had pasta mains which were good potion size and tasty, fettuccine bolognese and carbonara. Deserts good too. Quick and polite service from Steven.

Saturday was the 3rd time we have eaten at your restaurant in the metro centre I would highly recommend it our server was a young man called Yannis who very polite his service was excellent cannot rate him highly enough.

First time in the food court at the metro centre, my daughter told me about this one so we tried it, open kitchen so you can see your food cooking and really nice service (ask for Charlie the waitress) the food was faultless, definitely going back to this one p.s free shot of homemade lemonade when you get seated to your table. 😘

Mellisa and Evelyn were fantastic, they both showed us amazing customer service from beginning to end, making sure to ask us if everything was alright. Will definitely be back

The food was amazing, and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. The bread we had for a starter in particular was some of the nicest I've had. In addition, the manager was extremely helpful when my husband asked about reducing garlic in his dishes. Altogether a genuinely lovely experience.

Again we’ve had amazing food and even better service at Ask. Sophie is just the best server we’ve ever had, she makes us feel so welcome, my wife is Gluten, Dairy and egg intolerant and Sophie reminds us every time we come in what she can have, what new things have come onto the menu and what can be adapted for us, and everything arrives very clearly labelled. Just the very best food and service all round 😁.

We remain loyal regulars here.. My wife has severe allergies and the Sophie and staff are always helpful and respectful of our needs. Cannot fault the service or the food.

This is one of our favourite places to eat mainly because my wife is Coeliac and needs a safe gluten free variety of food. The staff are fully clued up with allergies and always ask on entering whether anyone has any. The GF menu is very substantial and the spicy calabria pizza is one of the best pizzas I have had. Also a big plus is the special perks you get when joining the mailing list. We have had numerous free sides, mains and starters. Also my wife was very surprised to receive a £10 off voucher around her birthday. All in all I would definitely recommend ASK italian.

Never been to an Ask Italian before but our experience was pleasant! Lovely staff who were very helpful, especially with allergies as one of our group had a nut allergy. We had calamari, bruscetta, meatballs, pizza, seafood linguine. All the food was fresh and well cooked. We'd definitely come back if we're in Newcastle.

Thank you Melissa for taking care of us. My partner and I are both coeliacs. Melissa was very understanding and knowledgeable about our requirements which made our dining out experience great. Lots of choice for us and what we chose was delicious.

Food was gorgeous as always and staff were friendly. I only rated 4 stars as we had a long wait for the food and then had another wait for the bill.

I had a great meal out here with my family. Went here for tea on the 21/08/2024 as I was moving the next day. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was top notch. Service was fast and it was a nice atmosphere.

Greeted and seated by a lovely waitress, with a smile on her face called Charlie. Drinks came straight away and the food followed shortly after, which was fantastic! The kids had a child’s carbonara, a salami misti pizza and I had the carne calzone all of which were delicious and the best calzone I’ve had in a long time! We were asked if everything was okay then after finishing, the plates were cleared and we decided to opt for the tiramisu which again was amazing! Very friendly, attentive and informative staff and fantastic food! Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys Italian food.

Walked up and about 4 tables with people on. Asked for a table and advised be 45 minute wait as they about to have breaks. Bad management if they haven’t got enough staff to serve in a reasonable time.

We came for tea today with two small children and a teenager. The kids' menu is very good, with options to have the source on the side (very important). Starters were great, really tasty. There's never very many veg options, but there were enough here. We just wanted to say thank you to Mellisa for her incredible patience as the kids spilled drinks and were too shy to order for themselves! A super woman.

This is one of our favourite places to eat and we very often visit while at the metro centre. The food never disappoints and the staff are always friendly & polite. The cheese fondue is phenomenal as is the zucchini fries, gorgeous.

I LOVED it here! The kids meal was only £7.50 and it was massive, a starter, a massive bowl of pasta and a dessert, the garlic bread (folded) was so nice! 💜 I will definitely visit here again. 💙 The lemonade was so delicious 😋 and we got free samples.

We love this restaurant and regularly go here for an evening meal when visiting the metro centre. All of the staff are friendly and efficient. Courtney served us on this occasion and she was professional, knowledgeable and attentive. She is and would be an asset to this and any other business. The food and wine were delicious and served in a timely manner.

Gabriella was an excellent host and looked after all of us incredibly well! She was super attentive to our toddler too which were super grateful for! We're here regularly and will continue to be so with the excellent service we receive!

Popped in for lunch staff friendly but sadly food very poor value my calzone was stone cold In middle and large pizza so thin and tasteless I eat out most days and try 2 review positively but for 40 pound with 2 coffees absolutely tasteless

We had gluten free seabass , pizza and carbonara we've been to alot of Italian restaurants and by far this was the best 10/10 PERFECT

Food and service was great and they were extremely attentive with allergies. We were asked on arrival if there were any allergies, when told yes they asked details and shared a specialised menu which listed all allergens in every dish. The manager also made an effort to study the menu and then came over to talk us through the dishes. Food came out with a sticker on to advise the food was “made with your allergies in mind” which was a nice touch. Would definitely return thank you!

Service in here was shocking. Server looked as though she didn’t want to be there, the manager on duty (bald man in a white shirt) coughed right next to our table without covering his mouth. Food was really good despite the service, we had the veggie carbonara and the margarita pizza. Not one check back. Got the bill, realised we’d been charged for two lots of garlic and cheese chips (we only received one but didn’t query it as we had probably over ordered anyway and one portion sufficed) after telling the server her response was ‘oh that’s not good’ no apology in sight. Took 10 minutes for the bill to be rectified. Wont be back, it’s a shame as the food was really good so hats off to the kitchen.

First time at an ASK and had a really lovely early dinner! Got given a free sample of lemonade on arrival which was so good we ordered a raspberry one to share. Ordered a calamari, cheese and onion flatbread and the sausage and cheese dough balls - which were so good. Calamari was slightly under seasoned for me but the batter was really nice, and much better than most chain restaurants. Husband loved his carbonara and I thought the bolognese was really nice and a bit more authentic with tagliatelle. The lasagne bites were really nice as well. Every server we had was lovely as well!

Mimoza is the best singing waitress in the metro centre. Really lightened up our time at Ask Italian! 🫶

The lady who served us was just a breath of fresh air! So friendly, polite and helpful !! I can’t remember her name but She had dark curled hair and we chatted about my hair length ect , she made our meal great with just how lovely she was!! will defo be back! Food was great

Been to ASK today with my family and was served by Ellis - absolutely amazing service dealing with all our quirks and requests. Also the host who seated us (who's name I didn't get) was so friendly, and went the extra mile with conversation. She also got us a space for the pram during a very busy period. Restaurant was very busy and both members of staff still took the time to chat to us and we didn't feel rushed at all. This is not the first time weve had great service at the metrocentre branch of ASK so felt it warranted a good review. Thanks again to the team :)

We decided after a long time to go to Ask Italian restaurant again. I know from previous experience that the food is great and so is the service. Food prices have increased significantly, but it's like that everywhere...

Great food super service and exceptional menu choices.

Great Service, food very average. The staff were very good, we ordered the Bruchetta with Cheese to start it was very disappointing. For mains we ordered a Pasta Dish with Chicken and Bacon, again very average. Our Bill came to over £50 with a small glass of wine and an apple juice. The Service staff were great, we have had much better supermarket meal deals.

Not always easy to find good food when in the metro centre, but this restaurant is consistently good. The pizzas are decent, especially the goats cheese one and we love the fact there are nice vegan options as well. Staff are super friendly, with good knowledge of the menu and always happy to advise

Quiet when we arrived, but soon filled up, with a lively atmosphere. Meals were all excellent 3 of the party had pizza, and the Manzo Piccante was delicious too. Our server, Janis was very, professional, efficient and courteous. A lovely pre- cinema meal. Thank you

Arrived to a fairly empty restaurant and waiter tried to seat us squeezed next to another family (why?? The restaurant is empty!) Food was prompt and tasty. We were looking forward to returning as we live locally and the food was decent quality. However at the end of our meal the waiter asked for a tip and stood over us as we selected the amount. So uncomfortable! It felt manipulative. Such a shame as we would have been repeat customers. The vulgar begging for tips spoiled the experience and we won’t be back.
