Freshly prepared healthy Korean food. They take allergens seriously. The service was excellent, the server was very friendly. It's the perfect place to try if you like spicy food.

Would not recommend ordering food take away from that place, especially ramen. The ramen comes plain. I have ordered the ramen and came without any broth, really plain taste. I could not get in touch with them regarding the issue. The just eat mentioned it is just the original recipe. So if you order ramen probably you will just get plain noodles. The pistachio Frappuccino is only ok if you have it in the place , but I would not recommend it ordering take away. The response of the restaurant regarding this issue was disappointing.

Food not worth the price, dirty tables and walls, food on the menus, didn’t get given cutlery when asked for it, ordered a drink which staff forgot to give us which we asked about and a male member of staff was really rude and told us that we were meant to get the drink ourselves from the fridge even though the drink was one which they made up themselves. After telling him this a few times he had to ask another colleague for help which she told us that it had been made but he had forgotten to given us it.

Freshly made, well portioned, and incredibly tasty. Ordering was made simple by scanning the QR code on the table, and arrived minutes after making payment. Staff were very happy to help, Alisha especially so. She helped with any and all questions I had. Will happily return again!

Went for Dinner yesterday and enjoyed every moment! The lamb dumplings and chicken rice bowl are deffo a fave The girl with the red hair (sorry i didn’t know her name!) gave such excellent customer service!! Will be back again soon. Thanks!

When I was there last, members of staff were vaping the table next to me while me and my 4 year old were eating... this is an indoor venue. When I raised this I did not get an apology.

I casually come here at least once a month. My problem at my last visit is that the ratio of rice/nourishment products. Now 2/3 of the bowl is filled with rice and thin layer of other stuff sprinkled over it. When it first opened it was amazing rice would be 1/3 tops and 2/3 would be everything else. I m sad to see it. Now need to find a new location.

Eaten here several times and each time the food has been superb, freshly prepared and served promptly. Great selection of dishes and every time I've eaten here with friends, everyone has been very satisfied. Love it

Very overpriced for a tiny portion of below average food. I will give props to the chef for being able to slice the beef so thin, must have been 10g in total. The bang bang wings had no bang bang, just soggy wings from an adolescent chicken. More like North Korean food!

This eatery is very very good. If you are looking for a hoody of good flavours then you will not be disappointed. My wife is a massive fan of the Gochujang, so much so that I now make it myself however we still come here too as the service is excellent and prices reasonable. Join the queue for the awful chain sushi and ramen places like a sheep or be a GOAT and eat here instead. Personally a recommendation from me.

Grounded Kitchen at the Metrocentre is great for a healthy Korean meal with friends! Their bowls, like the Bao Buns, are delicious and fresh. Plus, their drinks like the Mango Glow are perfect for a weekend outing.

Friendly atmosphere and very tasty nourish bowls

We had bibimbap which had nothing in common with an actual Korean bibimbap. Kimchi was again not kimchi but a soggy vinegary sauerkraut. I don't understand how they can call themselves Korean restaurant. Howerer the Staff was nice and friendly.

Well overpriced, mediocre food (small portions and kimchi nearly not existent in ramen, few scraps (20grams top) of way overcooked beef. Reheated chicken wings. Not for the real fans of Korean food. Disgusting toilet. Avoid if possible. You can find way better and cheaper places

Next level, been 4 times now to try a bit of everything and it’s gets better each time. There are some awful places to eat in the metrocentre this is an absolute hidden gem, healthy, delicious, great value and great portion sizes

Great alternative to wagamamas and not as packed, staff were friendly and bubbly. Served fast and ordered from qr code on the table

We had to change tables twice due to them being covered in sticky residue, eventually found one that was less offensive that the others and settled down there. Rice burnt, ramen overcooked, tofu burnt, chicken burnt. The only thing that wasn't burnt was the mango smoothie. Service was that of a fast food restaurant, scan a QR code and get handed your food. Food was overpriced for what it was, you can get 10x better Korean food in Newcastle for half the price. Multiple posters around the restaurant with "Soul of Korea" plastered across the front even though the posters were that of towns in Vietnam. Definitely won't be going back, and would recommend others going to different Asian restaurants inside the Metrocentre.

In all my life Never have I had food what tasted so bad. The pricing for 2 pots of noodles is unnecessary. Imagine paying £35 for noodles what taste absolutely horrid. (Wings were nice) I wouldn’t recommend this overpriced and disgusting food.

The rice sets were worth the money! We had the gochujang beef, was yummy!

Really pretty decor and good selection of food but that's about it for positives. It was very expensive for what you got and checking the online menu, many items were missing such as the bao. The online menu also charged extra and was very confusing to navigate such as not showing the vegetarian items like the paper menu does, do we decided to order at the counter. I did notice that the place seemed dirty as mentioned by someone else. I'm not sure I'd go back as I've had better nourish bowls from other places that weren't so pricy.

Amazing flavours, fast and fresh. The spices were on point, they have a kids menu too so don't be shy to take them. Only issue for me, it's in the Metro Centre...

Been to visit grounded kitchen twice now and each time has been a terrific experience, amazing service, very tasty authentic food with a wide selection at affordable prices. The staff are always welcoming and happy to guide you through the dishes, I got the Udon noodle fire both and it was very tasty on both occasions, I will definitely be returning.

This was our first visit. Kate noticed us struggling a bit with the menu and offered help. Very nice lady and very helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and we will definitely come back

Avoid the fish. For the price paid you would expect fresh salmon rather than tinned salmon with a very off putting smell. The Beef is nice in the bulgoi bowl but costs extra. We did complain about the salmon and got a refund which is good.

10/10. Lovely service & fantastic food to go with it. The menu takes some getting used too but we have been a couple of times now and every bowl ordered has been amazing! Great portion sizes and very healthy in comparison to other options near by.The Boa buns are my favourite from the menu and the selection of soft drinks is great too! I can't wait to be back.

What a great experience had at the metro centre Branch today. The food was exceptional! Big shout out to Kate and all the staff for making us feel so welcome. The staff were also so accommodating to my little girl. Will be back very soon!

This has got to be some of the best food in the Metro Centre hands down!!! Fantastic atmosphere and the staff are just fantastic!!! Also service is super speedy but they never compromise on quality!!! *Chefs kiss*

Now. I must firstly admit, I’m a pasty white boy from the North of England so I may overestimate the quality of the food offered at the Grounded Kitchen - but damn - that udon noodle bowl was utterly fantastic! Seriously, after a mystifying experience with their table based orders system (needing an account first), a pricey menu, and a lacklustre offering of beverages I was ready to be disappointed. The udon bowl had different ideas. Maybe it’s the standard of offering’s in the north east, maybe it’s my palate attuned to beige chinese buffet food, but whatever the reason, the Grounded Kitchen has set a new bar for flavour and will remain a firm favourite over the pale and stale offerings available county wide. Slap me with some table service and mood lighting and I’ll slap on a 5*.

We went for quick lunch today in metro center and we were so pleased, the food are delicious, the portion is decent as well as the prices. We had bibimbab, Korean chicken wings and Udon and they were lovely ! Highly recommended!

The food is really delicious and of outstanding taste, quick service, friendly staff, we tried different plates and dessert all were so tasty. Portions are good to the price. They serve halal beef and chicken, actually all the menu was halal. I would strongly recommend and definitely going back again.

Tasty food but very small portions and fairly pricey for the amount you recieve.

Me and my wife wanted to try an Asian cuisine and a Thai restaurant we wanted to go wouldn’t take us in. So we ended up here and boy thank god we did. It was very straightforward to grab a seat and order (through the QR code). Minimum interaction with the staff - which I don’t mind at all. The food was out of this world and of very good quantity. They had a good amount of options for vegetarians as well. Overall a true five star experience.

Just tried the salmon bao buns and wasn't sure what to expect. 10/10 perfect food

One of the most expensive and overpriced restaurants in the metrocentre. This sub par Korean chain provided me and my girlfiend with a main each, two bao buns and a smoothie for almost £70!!! Naturally this left our expectations high but what arrived was food on a fast food style tray in cardboard containers and wooden takeaway style cutlery. The baos were cold and the main noodle dishes somewhat small filled with unseasoned tofu. It seems all the dishes here are not fresh and handmade but a generic chain serving almost microwave quality food. The jaw dropping London prices and the dislikable atmosphere surrounded by dirty tables and not even music being played makes this one of the worst metrocentre food options and one I will never return to

I can’t say anything bad about this place however the worker I think she was called Emma or Emily, I got quite rude customer service from her I wasn’t greeted when I came in and when I asked for some recommendations she just started at me and said nothing which I found quite odd, secondly I asked for fire noodles with chicken and I got a complete different order with salmon and I don’t eat salmon so this was a big disappointment from me. her service was very slow and is if we didn’t exist to her other than that it is a great restaurant I just feel as this Emma need a bit more training in customer service and the menu as we didn’t receive what we order and the customer service skill was lacking greatly.

This is mine & my husband go to on our Monday's off work since rhe day it opened! The food is outstanding quality at such reasonable prices! Food is always fresh and aerved in less than 10 minutee. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere, highly recommend 👌🏽

Firstly noticed a huge poster with a 10 minute rule where if your food doesn’t arrive within 10 minutes your next ones free, order came after 20 minutes and we were tempted and told them it was definitely over 10 minutes, we were then told that was only mon-fri though it says nowhere on the poster that this is the case and it’s extremely misleading to get people to eat there. Secondly, food arrived, also got a side of salmon bao buns that were soo cold and salmon was mushy tasted grim and was covered in coriander. The mains were okay but for the price of wagamamas and the service of maccies you’d expect more considering the price. Fridges we’re also off and drinks were warm rip Only given star cause waiter was nice and isn’t his fault chefs are slow. Also has vegetarian options

The brown guy that works here has 10/10 customer service skill needs a pay rise was serving customers waiting tables and filling the water station up. he is very polite food here was nice I would give the wings a misss next as it was lacking flavour. The food is like street food. I do think they could have more sauces in bao bun.

Got our dinner at metro center . We both ordered upon noodles with beef. After I ate mine I finished the wife's off. She had a load of sauce in hers, mine was dry as a nuns chuff. Then desert took about 30 mins to come...still waiting.

Amazing food, a reasonable price, and served in 10 minutes or less! We always have a great experience visiting Grounded Kitchen, the staff are attentive and happy to help you navigate the menu, explaining anything that might be holding you back. For ease, you can order and pay using your phone straight from your table. There is a good selection of foods that taste fantastic and leave you feeling full but not bloated. Everything is customisable too so if you do hate something (coriander) you don’t have to worry! Don’t be scared by trying something new as you’ll absolutely find something you love!

Quite pricy for what it is. Paid 40+ pounds for a bowl of rice, very small portion of ssambapp, few baos and a small portion of chicken wing. Price wouldn’t have been the issue, if the food served were true to its value. I’d say the food are only very ever so slightly Korean ‘inspired’. For those who are familiar with south East Asian flavours, you’d probably find this menu very very toned down to suit western pallets, and merely resembling the real thing. Service was rather slow too - was surprised how long it took as when the variation of food arrived, they all seemed ‘ready made’ ingredients just mixed and assembled in a different way e.g., salmon bao’s ingredients exactly the same as the salmon rice bowl, etc. - so, sad to say i wont be back. Nearly missed a train journey cause it took them so long to prepare the food! There was a dude or the owner around but dont see him mucking in to help the staff much sadly despite a few customers obviously waiting.

Food was okay, tables and floor was really dirty , such a busy place only 2 people were working. Won’t go back again

At the time I was quite new to Korean food but I've started to go down the healthier eating route. I heard about Grounded Kitchen and thought I would give it a shot. Im very pleased I did, the manager who I believe may or may not have been called Andy (forgive me if I'm wrong) was very helpful in guiding me through the menu and the waiter who served me called kirb was equally as informative and welcoming. Their hospitality is why I'm coming back, they took the time to listen to what I wanted and delivered with flying colours. You can tell they are really passionate on what they prepare. They food itself was amazing! Being the fatzo that I am I had to go and order extra beef because MEAT which was juicy and succulent. The dish was called the 'firebowl' which was a well balanced combination of fresh and vibrant flavours that made for a song and dance in your mouth. I also had the pancakes with fruit which was a nice send of to the meal. Mad Respects, Jonny

The salmon bao is quite tasty. The gochujang noodles with fire broth was decent with a nice heat and flavour. Fills a hole and the food comes quickly but I won’t be going back.

Lovely food, the only reason for the 4 stars is lack of consistency between visits. First visit the beef bao had these lovely crunchy onions on top second time it did not, the bread was warm the first time but cold the second. Also the second visit I ordered the fire bowl which apparently has Avocado but I didn't find any in my bowl. However, atmosphere and taste is lovely.

Good portions, unbelievably tasty. Slightly on the expensive side but happy to pay it for the quality and quantity. Staff were super friendly, special mention to Cuberan (sorry if I botched the spelling) who served us.

Great choice of Korean food with some from other countries (I.e Japan). The wait time wasn't long and the food tasted incredible. I ordered the Chicken Bulgogi and the flavours were amazing! (only thing I changed was that I didn't want avocado on it). I'll definitely be coming back 😊

If you want anything that tastes or resembles real Korean food, do not go here. Bought a salmon bao bun, i had one bite and it made me want to vomit. Never knew you could mess up a bao bun tbh. Bought a beef Gochujang nourish bowl, as i prefer clean fresh healthy flavours, just like all typical asian food. But i was served a bowl of something i couldn't even identify because the amount of cheap codinments squirted all over the dish. So much that you literally couldn't see any of the food, or even taste it for that matter. My drink was a Ginger protect quencher, it was okay. Probably what lifted the rating above 1 star. Will never be dining at this establishment again, this small dreadful meal cost me £23, i could have ate in a nice authentic restaurant for that.
