Very pretty, good music, would have been nice if starters weren’t cold. Also felt rushed wer were forced to have our mains when we hadn’t even finished our starter (that’s not what I’m use to). One of the managers quite a rude attitude about it all and refused to give us her name. However the night was saved by the other manager who was very professional called Victoria and our waiter Alex was amazing. The mains was very nice but unfortunately we will not be back.

We had Sunday lunch at the King & Co today and it was delicious ! Our 4 year old loved his enormous Yorkshire pudding and thought the chicken was very tasty. Me and my husband had the lamb. Very good portions and the gravy was generous ! The staff were also super friendly. Overall a lovely meal! Thank you!

OK, I’ll get this out of the way first - it’s pricey. Now I’ll say the important bit - it’s worth it. It’s a genuine Japanese place, and everything we were served was a cut above the norm. Nasu dengaku - grilled aubergine with yuzu miso was delicious. The prawn tempura at £12 did make me raise an eyebrow as that’s nearly double what they charge in Eat Tokyo - but it’s nearly twice as tasty with a succulent sweet prawn in batter so light it would float away if it wasn’t attached to said prawn. Sushi was top notch, kara-age (fried chicken) was perfect, and the toro rice bowl a highlight. Staff were lovely, and I think it says a lot about the place that every customer except us was Japanese (my rusty handle on language was tolerated with kind smiles). Can’t wait to go back.

Coffee Studio 7GR Clapham is a solid spot for anyone looking for great coffee and food in a cozy, laptop-friendly space. The coffee is excellent, with rich flavors that really stand out, and the food is delicious—perfect for a brunch or quick bite while working. The WiFi is reliable, making it ideal for those looking to get some work done in a relaxed setting. However, the staff could be friendlier, as some interactions came off as a bit cold or rushed, which was surprising in such a welcoming space. Thankfully, the owner is a fantastic host—warm, approachable, and clearly passionate about providing a great experience for customers. His presence truly makes a difference. All in all, Coffee Studio 7GR is worth a visit for the coffee, food, and inviting atmosphere!

They used cheap Iceland/tesco frozen king prawns for the king prawn biryani. It had no fragrance or taste of prawns. To me that was a big let down. You charged us £15 for king prawn biryani but you're using cheap prawn from tesco/sainsbury. That's unacceptable. Chicken madras was excellent. Definitely top 3 in south london in my opinion. Tarkha dhall was more like a dhall bhuna which was very disappointing. Fresh thin garlic tarkha dhall would have been amazing. In overall, this restaurant has serious potential. The biryani would have been extremely nice if they used the correct king prawns. I hope the owner can make the changes if so I will order again.

We have not been to this Restaurant for a while since dining with a Spanish friend who recommended us to visit. Visiting a Cinema close by, we remembered this Restaurant and popped in last Saturday lunchtime. The Maitre D was fantastic and welcomed us entirely. The food was excellent and very authentic unlike many Spanish Restaurants in the UK. When back in Clapham we will certainly go back and enjoy the experience we have just enjoyed.
