You need to pay so much for small rooms. It is extremely expensive room prices. I supposed i will see a wonderful and big room. You can go to any hotel you want if you pay that much. Corridors are a bit smelly and there are some obstructions on the floor while walking. A parcel on my name was delivered to the hotel yesterday at 13:40 and i received my parcel at 9:10am today. They didnt find it at the beginning then they located that. I will not come here again at all. Not worth it.

I called the hotel to clarify some doubts and the attitude of the person who assisted me was so bad that it put me off making a reservation. He responded that if I had questions about availability, I could check it on the website. If I had no doubts or everything could be verified there, I wouldn't have called. I don't understand what kind of answer that is. I called the hotel to clarify some doubts, and the attitude of the person who answered was so bad that I no longer feel like making a reservation. Great hotel & location but the smell as soon as you enter in the hotel is so over powering I have to cover my nose to walk inside (not joking) it eventually goes away when you walk into the lobby but it’s just awful! I’m not sure what they are trying to cover up…. I could not even sit in the bar, I had the worst headache. Great location, great rooms, the breakfast being $25 a person for a hotel breakfast is ehh…. And the bed could be better, probably worst bed top 5… and I travel a lot. You’d think at $4k for the week you would have a nice bed & not a headache when you walk in but if you like horrible scents & hard beds this is your place.

September 2024: Stayed here for 12 nights on vacation. Had a very pleasant stay here. Location is great for central London. Very close to several train 🚆 stations, transit stops, and restaurants. Had a room with a view of the Eye on the fourth floor. Was pretty large room with good natural light. The king size bed was very comfortable. Pillows could have been better. They were standard size pillows. I'm always surprised when hotels provide standard size pillows on a king size bed. Where are the king size pillows? 🤔 Bathroom was large. Shower was large and water pressure and temperature were very good. Fitness room was temporarily located on the first floor. It was not up to expectations, but I think the main fitness room was under renovation. The swimming pool on the fifth floor was most excellent. Breakfast at the library was wonderful. Good filtered coffee, fruit and yogurt, avocado toast, English breakfast, and salmon on a bagel. Workers were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to London.

Perfect location with great view of Big Ben and London Eye. The service during Marriott’s happy hour at the executive lounge was phenomenal - instead of self-servicing, the staff would come to our table to take our orders for drinks and dinner. The food was also delicious! Their breakfast at the M Club at The Library was also fabulous. Requested the hotel arrange a bouquet and cake for my wife’s birthday and our honeymoon. They took a step further to surprise us with balloons and a bottle of champagne. Awesome job done the team!!! Will definitely love to visit again in the future.

My absolute favourite new London Hotel.I was originally staying somewhere else but when I discovered this property i immediately moved. Not only is the building itself stunning and full of history, the location and views are simply unbeatable. The extra touch though, is the staff, I had an issue take place which meant I had to come back to the hotel unexpectedly. The staff at the front desk were extremely kind, upgraded my room and things like that give an extra star easily. Every member of staff was happy and welcoming. I was lucky enough to stay in two rooms, the first being the Kind Deluxe Big Ben View, and you really can’t get any better than relaxing with a drink with full views of Big Ben and Westminster. The second room was a little smaller but still amazing. The design of the rooms has a map of London as the wallpaper, which just works. The view this time was down the Thames looking right at the London Eye. Breakfast was amazing, everything was thought through. Working in the travel industry it’s the personal touches that make a difference and this property has everything going for it l, right from its impressive entrance to its prime location and finally such wonderful staff who made my stays a pleasure.

Pure bliss the entire time. The staff were amazing, personable, and took the time to learn the preferences of their guests. As a former customer services person, I sincerely appreciate it when guest service individuals apply a high level of attention to detail, such as how one likes their coffee or what guests enjoy to drink in the evening. Furthermore, the location is ideal and a mile or less from every major attraction. We will be back.

The Marriott County Hall is an excellent hotel that offers an experience that exceeds that of higher tier hotel brands (like Ritz or St Regis). The rooms are newly renovated, wonderfully decorated, and many have outstanding views. The location is very central and convenient to much of central London. Service is excellent. Mark at the front door is your go to for pretty much any logistical need. Gillray's is a very good restaurant, worth of a visit even if you're not a guest at the hotel. Two small issues, both related to location. First, the County Hall building is big; getting in and out of the hotel can take a lot of steps. Second, there are a LOT of tourists around the hotel visiting the London Eye and other attractions. HOWEVER, the hotel has thick walls, so it is quiet. Also, the walk along the Thames, while crowded during the day, is a great way to see London. Don't let either of these issues stop you from staying at County Hall, whether for business or pleasure.

My family and I went to London to celebrate the New Year. I stayed at the London Marriott County Hall 9 years ago for New Year's Eve and wanted to recreate the experience with my grandson. The hotel is in an ideal location, allowing easy access to the subway and other great attractions such as Big Ben, London Eye and Westminster. The hotel itself is charming and embodies all of the tradition that makes London so special. It is truly unique. The rooms offer amazing views of the river, Big Ben, the Eye and Westminster. Rooms are upscale, immaculately clean with high quality linens and a fabulous shower. The food and drink are also amazing. While amenities are important, it is the staff that sets this Marriott apart from many other locations. From the minute you walk in the door, you are greeted as an old friend. Everyone is extremely engaging and friendly, always willing to help. During my stay, I was able to add an extra day to my reservation which could have been hugely challenging. Most importantly, the staff went out of their way to provide us tickets to the New Year's Eve celebration on the bridge. This was to be the highlight of our trip and due to some confusion, my family and I found ourselves without tickets. After speaking with the staff, we were blessed with tickets (Thank you Harsha Gopal and the Front Desk Team). I was and am overwhelmed with gratitude as my grandson, son and daughter-in-law were able to experience this once in a lifetime event which was the original intent of our trip. While the tickets were, in my mind, the most amazing gift, Harsha gave my grandson a gift bag full of wonderful things for him to remember his first trip abroad and to London. Again, I was so overwhelmed with emotion for him and my family. I cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness and generosity. I am forever grateful.

Location! Location! Location! This place is it, if you have some moolah to splurge. It was our August Vacation, and it was my teen son's 1st trip to the UK & London. We only had time to stay for 8-Days. I have visited London many times previously but stayed at other locations. I specifically chose this hotel because it was centrally located to all the areas I wanted to take my son, as well as what he was interested in. We were a 5-10 Minute walk to Parliament, Westminster Abbey, White Hall, other major attractions and 10-15 Mins from other attractions (Piccadilly, High Tea at Tiffany at Harrods, Lunch/Tea & Biscuits at Fortnums), using the excellent London Buses, The Tube & taxi. This is 5-Star Hotel and our experience lived up to it. I chose a suite that overlooked The Thames River, with fantastic views of the waterway, Big Ben & Parliament. I also selected the M Club Lounge option which gave us access to the 5th FL Club Lounge that has 24/7, all day/night snacks, refreshments, quiches, pies, drinks and a lounge sitting area. Our suite wasn't cheap, and was north of 4-Figures per night. We stayed 8 Nights, so you do the math. However, you get what you pay for. This building was previously the center of London Governments, before it was sold off and turned into a hotel. The property is probably worth several billion $$$ due to its size & perfect location. No kidding. The hotel and staff are fantastic and super-attentive, helpful & informational, including at the breakfast restaurants. The hotel concierge is your best friend here with very helpful recommendations for restaurants. My M-Club Pkg included breakfast at the Library or Gilray's Steakhouse & Bar. I would recommend eating at Gilray's, because you got more scenic views of Parliament & The Thames. There are floor to ceiling windows in Gilray's that enhances the views and ambiance of the restaurant. Our room was very spacious, huge & luxurious, with what look like a 20' ceiling. The bathroom was huge, with a separate shower and bathtub. The shower had a waterfall head which totally drenches you. Furnished are upscale toiletries from Molton & Brown, which were very nice. There were lots of closet space as well. I must note an odd feature in the shower. There was no receptacle to hold all the shower toiletries. There was just 1 receptacle that could only hold 1 item. You will see this in 1 of the pixs posted, we had to keep the toiletries on the ground when talking a shower. I felt like a peasant having the backbreaking task of bending down to grab my soaps-on-ropes!!! Another criticism was the room fridge, it barely kept drinks cold. The temperature adjustment did not improve matters, however it was a minor annoyance. We were very busy, so we had no time to check out the gym or pool. It didn't matter, as we got an amazing workout, walking all over Central London during our stay! If you want to have a posh & prime experience in London, at a central location, this hotel is it! Highly recommended!

There are very valuable people at the restaurant like our waitress Sanda who should become the restaurant Manager immediately, she is friendly, nice, always with a smile. Karla is always with the long face, mad, unfriendly. Also, Camila at the reception is awesome. We were celebrating my wife´s birthday so she offered the balloons, card and cake package for 60 pounds, the package had to be delivered at 9:30 AM on the 14, but the only thing that arrived was the cake. In the afternoon we told Camila this, and she eliminated the charge, and not only that, she went to get the balloons and the card herself and delivered them personally. This is conflict resolution at its best. From Karla, the supervisor and the restaurant manager I didnt receive anything except arguments, not an apology, not even did they take care of my check at the restaurant after all the rudeness, not that I need you to take care of two beers when I am paying for 4 nights at your hotel, it´s just the minimum sign of courtesy. We kept delaying coming to this place due to so many events, yet we managed to finally come here on the last Saturday the offer for a 3 meal with drinks for £30 pp was valid - not only this is a great offer, although I am not a big eater or drinker, but the staff deserves only top marks. The settings is made romantic with the help of great table clothing but also the fact that the big room is divided with the help of small book cases so that you have a bit of a privacy, with a further small room with a table for 4 being at the end. We were sat near the window towards the end and witnessed the sunset over the Thames and Big Ben and as I said my thanks go to the young girls from France and Spain who were so friendly and prompt in their response. I would suspect though the assumption is that people come here to stay a very long time as this was the longest dinner we ever had, well over 2 hours, when we could have been done in some 45min. From the set menu we ordered the mussels, then chicken for me and fish for my partner, plus winter berry cake for me, of which I was not fond though and trio of chocolates for my partner which looked rather good but too late for me to have it. Even the alcoholic drinks included in the offer was quickly replaced with a non alcoholic cocktail, which we both liked and due to the minor problem with my chicken (as the kitchen staff probably did not notice but horrified even the waitress as she could see it) they served us 2 more non alcoholic cocktails - this proved the staff is very hands on. As I said, I am not a drinker or eater but I am always touched by great gestures as the staff displayed on this occasion. And probably we will be back: romantic, great staff, good offer - what is not to like?

My wife and I took our family (eight of us) to Scotland, Ireland and London for 2+ weeks over Christmas and New Years. For New Years we stayed in two different Marriott properties in London--the County Hall and St. Ermin's. For New Year eve the County hall was $1,800 for a room for three (could NOT boo using Marriott reward points) with a view of Big Ben. Supposed to have been great room for viewing the fireworks. The St. Ermin's was a little over $200 per night per room BUT we were able to use reward points for two rooms. The staff seemed friendly but very, very formal and rehearsed. This is a GREAT property for those who are WELL off financially and who enjoy the rigid social status and formalities. We shared our king room with our 8 year old grand daughter who was suppose to have had her own bed but over or two night stay it never showed up. In our St. Ermine's rooms we received wine and cheese in recognition of Platinum status and at the County all--noting. To get a GOOD view of the fireworks we had to go outside. Those of our party that were on the opposite side of the river had a much better view than we had. Overall it was nice but very disappointing. Next time we will ALLstay at the St. Ermine's.

I had a delicious dinner at Gilray's in the Marriott last night. Currently the view of the London Eye is marred by scaffolding but I imagine it would be fab when work is completed. The service was very good. I had a two course meal for £20. The potato salad starter was my favourite- beautifully presented and delicious. The steak was less impressive as it was too thin and tough and the flavour was not as nice as steaks I'm used to eating back home in Australia but the chips, mushroom and tomatoes were all good. The complimentary Yorkie (their name for a cheese stuffed Yorkshire pudding) was very yummy. I also had some margarita cocktails and they were well made.

The best things about this hotel (the former County Hall) are the friendly, helpful staff and the central location. The rooms are small (expected for London) and run-down. They are in the process of renovating the rooms, but they've just gotten started. If I had it to do over again, I would probably look for a place on the other side of the river. Even though it was a short bridge walk, it had to be done every single time we went somewhere. And the area around the hotel is very crowded because the London Eye is right there. Sometimes we could barely get through the crowd once we stepped out our door.

I had lunch in the Marriot Hotel. What a location ! It is situated right at the end of Westminster Bridge right at the waterfront, near the London Eye. The views are stunning and would impress any visitor. The food didn't disappoint and was as stunning as the views. Seafood was excellent, service excellent - say no more!

Although I think they had a massive nerve charging a Service Charge on a single portion of chips which already cost £3.50 the food was ok. We had Corn Dog & chips which cost £10 with the service charge on top but they were very tasty. Very difficult to find and park at this hotel. Service was rubbish.

We walked over to see the London Eye and discovered the Marriott Hotel and went there to eat. We have fish and chips and steak. The food was very good.

The staff at the Heathrow Marriott were fabulous. They made our trip extra special. ..we felt at home. The assistant manager was delightful. Marisa helped us secure a flight to Paris for a surprise family reunion. Every part of our stay was stress free and warmly hosted. The food was perfectly prepared. The Executive Lounge was nicely appointed. Wonderful hotel! !! We will return!

Excellent and brilliant afternnon tea in the library at the Couty Hall Marriot Hotel right by the London Eye and with a very nice view to the Parliament and Big Ben... The service was great and the four different sandwiches, two different scones and four different cakes were all top-notch... Highly reccomended! ;o)

The waiter on arrival had a cheerful personality, knew our booking, simply by name. sadly did not get name and with not disrespect walked with a limp, but he was so friendly. I was well pleased with my starter, melon & Parma Ham, as well my friend Calamari. Main meal for me almost perfect house burger with red onions. yes cheese, ham lettuce very tasty and filling, but no onions. fried egg, ok it was tasty not expected. Yes preferred Onions My partner was bit disappointed steak was covered in sauce, would have liked in a jar, taste, then add if necessary, hence 2 stars for food., Service was spot on, however was large in proportion to completion. Just let down by sauce not to be added onto food, allow guest to taste and add to steak.

Brash music (caught in crossfire between different kitchen and front music, expensive, and not very fresh. Disappointing ‘crabstick claw’ starter, v ordinary whitebait and uninspiring mixed seafood grill for two. Expensive for what it was. In fairness the waiter was charming and the Alentajo wine well-priced and good. Overall this didn’t live up to the reviews. Wife and daughter felt disappointed and sadly we won’t be returning.

Great food. One of the most tasty kebabs I’ve had in years. Kebab Salad was excellent too. Price is good value for what you have and portions large, my daughter could not finish. First time I’ve visited but will be back.
