Food well served, well seasoned and great service!

I love this place, probably the best I know in the area. Affordable price, fresh food, and clean space. I think there could be more light. Very welcoming team, especially Mrs. Sandra. For those who crave traditional Portuguese food, here is the perfect place.

Recommended place for good quality Portuguese food at a good price. Compared to the rest of the restaurants in the city, it is a luxury to have places like this.

Horrible place !! Please avoid ! I normally stop by on the weekends however this has to change because the chef deliberately divided my order in half and while I was watching all of this - gave half of my meal to the supervisor to eat… right in front of me on the side next to the kitchen..!! I tried to have a word with the staff but she was extremely rude and disrespectful!! No apology was given. However because other people we’re listening she got even more upset with me because I challenged her behaviour with the chef. I went back later to speak to the female owner but she to got annoyed because people we’re listening!?! The waitress or supervisor tried to give me a refund after I paid but I said no I would like to leave my phone number etc to speak to the owner. Anyway, to cut a long story short it almost ended up in a brawl because the staff and owners have a very nasty mindset !! I called the police for them and I will hopefully never return. Only go to this restaurant if you speak fluent Portugese and you need to be very aware of what is going on around you ?! With the staff and the chef especially!! Unfortunately, the owners are equally ignorant and unhelpful!! They have I am wrong but you can do nothing about it attitude!! And everything I said was caught on the camera !! Even for London this is a new low !! All my Portugese friends and relatives were horrified !! No apologies give !! Beware !!?

The owners of the establishment were very rude and we will never go back again. They over charged our bill and they also refuse to make it right. We called police but nothing happened because the chief of police is portuguese, she is sister of the portuguese owner "cafe estrela" on the same street of Grelha D`Ouro and the owner of cafe estrela is best friend with Gelha D`Ouro snack bar... just connect the dots and see the online reviews about all those people who called police and nothing happened. its very easy to flag and soon they will all be caught red handed.

i just got assaulted outside by one of the owners friends and because the owners are friends of the guy who assaulted me they stated to police that we both start the fight and now i'm going to prove what really happened and stop this insanity. lets not forget that giving fake statements to police is also a crime by unlawfully disturbing the course of an investigation "AGAIN"

Delicious food for a good price 😋 I really recommend.

Delicious tradicional Portuguese food, lovely drinks, great atmosphere and option to play pool with friends downstairs.

This is my favourite local restaurant. Delicious food, nice service and good prices. I highly recommend the pork spareribs or the lamb cutlets.

Probably the worst experience we have experienced in a restaurant. Customer service was really bad. The waiter had zero knowledge about the food. My friend asked her couple times what kind of sauce was on top of the meat, as he was concerned because of his allergies and the waiter replied saying “there are a lot of things in the sauce. I don’t know”. We also observed her serving the food without bringing first the cutlery to the couple sitting in the table next to us. They left the restaurant after asking the waiter - “Am I going to eat with my hands”. And the waiter shouted back to them- “yes, if you want”. Instead of apologising. I don’t recommend this restaurant at all.

Great, service is quite slow but the food is great and great prices. A small cafe but great atmosphere.

No flavour ,plate was so small I couldn't cut the meat ..

I tried prawns as a starter, bachalau fish with a side of beans as a main course, and finally coffee. All very well done but we waited about 15 minutes between courses.

Great place for food. They open late too which is handy sometimes.

A great place for meat lovers. Grilled lamb chops and picanha steaks are really good here. Portions are generous and prices very good. They even have a billiard table downstairs and few slot machines.

Place is awesome, the staff fantastic & friendly the atmosphere was clear and vibrant and place was very clean, the Boss Man is a Legend and very respected will look forward to pop into the venue again sometime soon

amazing cocktails especially the espresso martini and for ridiculously low prices for London. The food is so cheap and most of it quite good try the clams in wine and the cheeseboard is well served. Gets little noisy and busy after 11pm but great to enjoy some drinks till late

This place is all about Pedro. Cannot describe what a class guy Pedro is. Get yourself down here and find out for yourself. Makes the best baby Guinness in London.

Quite unbelievable value for money in this restaurant. The ambience is very much like a community space and it can be a little raucous, but another way to describe that is to say that there is a down to earth, and very warm, authentic environment. I could not recommend this restaurant more highly. It's a wonderful place and I will certainly return. A true hidden gem.

Tasty food and generous portions, been there a couple of times.

I was a bit scared that this wonderful restaurant would not return would not return after being closed for so long however it’s smaller offshoot two doors down has opened and hopefully the larger one will too. A great selection of Portuguese dishes of the day. And today is octopus rice for me though the feijoada was equally tempting.

Love Portuguese Food. The meat is amazing and friendly people. This place is great to go with friends and family.

Uno de los mejores restaurantes en los que he estado en Londres.Excelente comida, el chuletón (para 2) a las 19 tiene una excelente relación calidad-precio. Disfrutamos muchísimo de toda la comida, los calamares y la ensalada de pulpo estaban deliciosos y el flan de postre fue excepcional.Además de la excelente comida, el personal profesional que trabaja muy duro, el restaurante es espacioso, está muy bien decorado y muy limpio.Cumpliendo con Covid, observaron estrictamente la distancia social y no había más de 6 personas sentadas juntas en las mesas.Una vez terminada la cena, se limpió a fondo cada mesa.Muy recomendable.

I had a horrible experience here!!! The waiters were polite and well mannered however the owner ( José Manuel) was very unprofessional and rude. He simply isn’t aware of how to speak to people in a polite way. He genuinely isn’t even worth one star! We came here to celebrate my dad’s birthday in a big group and he treated all the guests badly

Fomos ao grelha de ouro através de uma recomendação de amigos.Vale a pena cada libra, a comida é mesmo portuguesa desde as entradas até aos pratos principais , o pessoal tbem e depois de alguns fish and chips foi uma lufada de ar fresco.Comemos bacalhau à braz, arroz de marisco, língua de vitela estufada e entrecosto de borrego no forno. E para regar tudo bons vinhos também de Portugal.Não deixem de lá ir, sejam turistas ou não.

Last week we were back at what used to be a good Portuguese restaurant. But what a disappointment. Not one of the plates of 7 people was decent. This restaurants is now merely a tourist trap.

Poor service. They brought the wrong starters. Food was not well cooked and the "bacalhau à casa" was only potatoes and cream no bacalhau. Very disappointed!

Great place, nice big quantities

Excellent food , ordered large plates to share , expect to pay £20 upwards with soft drinks . 8 persons sharing . Excellent a regular haunt on my foodie list . Worth a visit . Note : if you want halal chicken ask in advance and they will oblige.

Long standing part of the Stockwell community serving typical Portuguese dishes, coffees and cakes. Try a Galão and nata or a meia de leite if you prefer your white coffee a little stronger. The nata's are world famous (it's a traditional custard tart but you probably knew that already!). Inexpensive and in keeping with the traditional Portuguese style as its run and frequented by Portuguese people. Good chance to practice your language skills if your'e planning a visit to Portugal. Some of the mains served here aren't to my personal taste as Portuguese food can be a bit bland for some tastes.

What can I say? Very good authentic Portuguese food with good attentive service. The restaurant is spacious and therefore popular with parties and families and it was very busy the evening I had dinner there. I had vegetable soup, very tasty sardines and a bottle of white Ribatejo wine with baba de camelo as dessert, followed by coffee and bagaso. Although there are less expensive restaurants with the same good fare just a few doors away, the menu is quite varied and there's more choice here. Even so, a dinner here won't break the bank.

Nunca he estado en este lugar a pesar de vivir tan cerca, pero mis amigos me llamaron y nos pidieron que fuéramos. Se lo merece totalmente, especialmente en invierno.¡Te recomiendo que vayas con varias personas para que puedas pedir y probar más platos que solos o en pareja!¡Disfrútala!

Restaurante Português em Londres com excelente qualidade da sua cozinha. Tipicamente cozinha portuguesa que tanta falta faz a quem está longe de Portugal. Bons preços. Recomendo.

No dejes que el aspecto del lugar te engañe, es muy taberna como con un interior un poco anticuado, pero me sentí como si estuviera en Portugal y supongo que ese es el punto.La comida era muy sabrosa, la carne estaba muy bien hecha y tierna y las porciones (que me importan) eran generosas.Prueba este lugar!

Ok for a start it would be nice if the food was seasoned. Big plates no seasoning So the service was okay till it was time to pay the bill. They acted as though they didn't want our money AND then they said only in cash. Where are the signs? The signs are worn out paper blowing in the wind by the door that nobody looks at. We had to leave and wait outside before could be bothered to even take their money. I will NOT be coming back here

Nettes kleines Lokal in der South Lamberth Road. Freundliche und flotte Bedienung. Das Essen schmeckte sehr gut, aber die Portionen sind so groß, dass man sie kaum oder nicht schafft. Schade ums Essen. Weniger wäre oft mehr.

Really nice casual Portuguese restaurant. Relaxed and laid back, and very friendly service. Had the gizzard as an appetiser, flavourful but a bit overcooked, so it was on the tougher side. The bacalao with smashed potatoes was nicely done, but most of the potatoes didn't really get much colour. The sardines were nicely grilled. Would recommend it for a relaxed dinner. Avoid the house red though.

Habiendo dicho que el personal es realmente encantador y agradable, aunque no hay suficiente gente para todas las mesas y esperas un rato. . . no es una gran experiencia

Staff friendly , T-bone steak was huge and by far the best I have ever eaten

I don't understand how this place gets a 4.3. It must be friends from the community. It was awful. Bad service, bad taste. The octopus salad had nothing in it but octopus (not a single leaf or veg). And the monkfish and prawn stew for 2 was basically just a massive bag of rice boiled in fish stock. The two of us left food on every plate we were served, enough to feed 8. And then they tried to charge us for the bread and olives that we didn't order and didn't eat.

Locale tipico portoghese, minimale ed essenziale ma colpisce la qualità del pesce. 77 Sterline in 3 per una abbondante grigliata di pesce fresco, vino verde portoghese acqua e dolci. Come essere in portogallo. Consigliatissimo se in zona, tra l'altro centrale, vicino all'ambasciata americana, di passaggio tornando dal torneo di Wimbledon.

Mi padre y yo habíamos encontrado a Grelha D'Ouro en Tripadvisor, y decidimos probarlo para almorzar, ya que las críticas sonaban prometedoras. Efectivamente, la comida era excelente y muy auténtica. Recomiendo encarecidamente los bacalhau al bras (bacalao, papa y huevo). Sin embargo, había un montón de ruido de la carretera, ya que el restaurante está justo en una carretera principal. En general, este es un gran lugar para ir si está buscando una buena comida portuguesa en Londres.

Very slow service more than 1h to have starters, 20 minutes for drinks... main course dry no taste. Sorry!

Quite tasty starters, and a good grill. The chips and rice left something to be desired, but the important stuff was good. I was particularly fond of the mussels in the big bowl of garlic broth. That said, it was quite pricey, I felt.

There's not much to say other than... Incredible food. You might find the prices steep but for what you get it really isn't, I was pleasantly surprised with the incredibly generous portion of octopus and how it was oh so yummy! Authentic Portuguese cuisine, a little piece of home right in London.

One of the best portuguese restaurants in London. Great fish and meat dishes. Worth to try. Bacalhau à Lagareiro or Octopus or even the stake... You will love it.
