All day breakfast stopped at 3.pm but not stated on menu, meatballs on menu but they had stopped doing them,, they should update there menu, couldnt order omelette because stopped at 11.am on the breakfast menu, not very happy.

Good value for money for breakfast.

Though I didn't try the food, the atmosphere was really nice, good beer and friendly people working there. My friends said their beef tasted very good. :)

We spent the day in London and went to Battersea Park and then walked along the River and found this Portuguese Restaurant and stopped for Lunch as my Husband is Portuguese and we really enjoyed it, good service and good food, highly recommend it it.

We went on a trip to London from Spain and of the four nights we stayed, we had dinner here for three. Phenomenal service and authentic homemade Portuguese food. We were looking for Mediterranean food and we found this place with food of great quality and flavor. They treated us wonderfully every day and we felt at home. Highly recommended

After being told by one member of staff to choose one of two tables, didn’t even stay to eat, as another member approached us before we had a chance to sit down and question if we had a reservation. When we told him no and before even being able to say that his colleague had told us to sit there he shrugged his shoulders and left with a bothered and disapproving look on his face. Didn’t fancy giving our money to such a business.

Very friendly people and the place is very good, spacious inside and with a good terrace. It eats well.

Friendly staff open reasonably late on a week night. I enjoyed the pork and clam stew. The portion was generous and possibly bit enough for two if you don't have a big appetite.

I like the place, the food is decent and affordable for London. The service can be slow and haphazard, especially when it’s busy. Thank god none of those bloody social media influencers have made it famous yet.

The food is not authentic portuguese, the portuguese flavours are not there anymore. I had the cod, but unfortunately, it was dry and tastless. The service was very slow. We were left to wait for ages after the main menu. The staff are always running from one side to the other, it's a quite stressful environment. Perhaps they were short on staff on that day. There's no attention to the customer, but then they add the " service charge" to your bill without asking. I find this is a practice that places in general should review and let the customers decide if they want to leave a tip or not. Considering the service was very poor. Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience and there's definitely better portuguese restaurants in London.

If you are looking for real food that tastes delicious in London, the Portuguese restaurant Casa Madeira is the place to go! For the Portuguese living in London like me, this is just heaven! Next door there's the cafe type of place and there is also a Portuguese grocery shop which is very convenient. Can't recommend enough!

The paella is so big that two people can't finish it. There is half a lobster with claws in it, which is very suitable for Chinese tastes. King scallops, seared scallops with flavored butter, delicious. Octopus is added with olive oil, onions, garlic, and parsley. The octopus has a soft and waxy texture and a fresh taste. It is an excellent appetizer. The roast beef was just average, not recommended.

Casa Madeira London Terrible attitude by the waiter. 951837763 Shockingly terrible service by the waiter and what he did was totally wrong and unacceptable.We dined in this restaurant few times in the past and generally was okay so we decided to have another go,we were party of four and middle aged waiter took our order.We ordered six starters which were really nice to be honest but two of the Sirloin steaks were over cooked so we looked around for our waiter to discuss with him the issue but he was nowhere to be seen so we called the other younger waiter and he took our overcooked steaks back to the kitchen and said he will bring back the new ones.What happened next was really shocking to me that our original waiter brought back the plates with overcooked steaks on them and started to argue with us we should eat them because kitchen is closed.What a shocking attitude and poor judgment by a waiter unbelievable.After few minutes of discussion he agreed that he would take the two overcooked steaks off the bill.We normally have more drinks and also deserts at the end but with this kind of attitude we just paid the bill and left.Never going back there again.

Only had coffee and drinks but all were excellent. Very tasty espresso and the madeira was top notch. Whilst we didn't eat the food looked great and the people eating seemed very happy!!!

I loved the Arroz De Marisco! Packed with seafood, it's deliciously reminiscent of Cantonese seafood congee and surprisingly affordable. A must-visit for an authentic and budget-friendly seafood experience.

I love Portuguese food and often dine in one of the many restaurants in Little Portugal, not too far from Vauxhall. When one of my Portuguese colleagues recommended me Casa Madeira I was intrigued. She described it as the best Portuguese with exquisite food and attentive service. It wasn't our experience. Upon arrival, we were redirected from the entrance of the restaurant to the outside area. The outside area looked abandoned, a green carpet underneath the table covered in leaves and dry out liquids. From our table, we could smell fainted sick, like someone thrown up there the day before. The waiter came quickly, and ordering was smooth. We ordered too many dishes and got moved to a bigger table, that was the last time they interacted with us. It felt like our table wasn't assigned to any waiter. No one came back to ask if the food was okay, or take our mains order or ask for drinks. Quite we could see them doing to the tables around us. We waited for a while, eating through our tapas, then decided to just leave it. I had to call a waiter to get the bill, it took another while, we both went to the toilet, they cleaned up the table etc before we got it. After receiving it, they left again, and we were once again ignored. Mind you, we watch them taking care of other table with attentive service, quick clean up and bill/payments. We eventually had to go back inside to get someone attention. Disappointing, not sure what my friend saw in this restaurant. The food was okay but not too fresh. We will stick to our local Little Portugal community.

This cool little restaurant under the railway bridge is a little gem. Although its menu is primarily Portuguese, we had the pizza, which was very nice. The custard tarts were the best I've ever had. Service was attentive and the atmosphere was relaxed.

Very good steak burger.....and Portuguese cakes

My boyfriend and I came here on my birthday last Saturday since I haven't been to Madeira in almost a year I was missing the cuisine. I got "Prego especial no nolo do caco" and my boyfriend got "bitoque de frango" both of which were very delicious, authentic and good value for money. For dessert we obviously got a pastel de nata and they were so creamy!! Definitely recommend especially if you're from the island like myself - very authentic, plus all staff speak Portuguese.

As a client for many years I'm very disapointed as I spent a lot of money the other day at Madeira Deli when I purchased a few Pasteis de Nata, rissois de camarão, pasteis de bacalhau they were very old I will never go back or recommed anyone as I had a really bad experience.

We live in Bournemouth and every time we travel to London we have to pay a visit to this restaurant. The service it has always been 5*, the food that makes you feel that you are truly in Portugal. Márcio was very helpful serving us, very polite and friendly.

Nice, comfortable place to sit outside, but let down by the food. Very average ingredients, disappointing coffee and watery "fresh" juice. Also staff seems forgetful (asked twice for tap water and none delivered).

Wonderful restaurant with a community atmosphere. Made my family feel at home even with our little one needing to find food near our hotel without reservations. I was worried at first but they accommodated us with excellent and prompt service. Excellent octopus, scallops, steak, beer, pizza, and sangria.

The Sagres beer was off, tasted like not pulled through before opening. The garlic bread with cheese resembled a two year olds attempt at putting cheese on a greggs Stottie. The bolognaise was devoid of any taste especially herbs.

One star because I can’t give less. The food was the the worst food we have eaten in a long time. A toddler could make better garlic bread. Really, how can you get that wrong? The artichoke and onion on the pizza wasn’t cooked properly. The bolognese was tasteless . Sorry but I don’t have anything positive to say

The old people are running around, the young people are behind the counter (a reshuffle of internal human resources is necessary), the pasta is a little too greasy, the wine is very good, the meat dishes are well prepared...the passage of train above the restaurant is a bit ''surprising''. Overall it's the best thing we found in the area. Eating in London is a major challenge, the smallest dish costs 25 euros and the prices do not include service, between 10 and 12.5% ​​extra. The 20% VAT does not help them, a stupid desire of the government to want to crush essential people. A pasta dish for 14 euros. My waiter, who was in his 50s, caused me a lot of grief, he limped all evening while young, strong and muscular bartenders remained behind the counter wiping glasses. Young people get moving, this restaurant is your snack if it crashes you will no longer have any income...

This is a very convenient and easy place to get a cup of coffee or more, if you are in the Vauxhall area. Hasn't changed very much. There is a cafe bit and also a more restaurant-led bit at the back of the inside. On a hot day. It's great to sit outside. They do teas, coffees and all the right snack type. Things like baked potatoes and sandwiches, and the cakes are huge. It's a little tired around the edges, but that doesn't take away from the charm or the very traditional Portuguese feel of it

Casa Madeira has always extended a courteous welcome and provided very decent food and drink served promptly and with a smile. A bonus is being able to go to the shop next door for all manner of Portuguese goodies.

What a bad experience! We just had an English Breakfast…Rotten sausage, hard beans, come on guys even my 12 years old son knows how to cook a proper EB. Even though we put the breakfast to the side and asked for the manager and explained the whole situation we were still charged in full, the only apology was “Im sorry” really you still took almost £20 for two breakfasts we did not even touch as the smell arisen from the sausage was really bad!

The worst experience I ever had , we ordered a francesinha and it was done in 5 minutes. No one bother to check how it was.

If I could have an extra star to give... I would! Terrific food! The fish is extra fresh and cooked in the most simple but very tasty way. This is a place where I am coming over and over again when I want good food. The service is always spot on... ah, let's not forget the wines! I really love Casa Madeira 💕

This place is really convenient location-wise. You can get inexpensive breakfast and snacks all day which is very handy and there’s a relaxed atmosphere that means you can read a book or chat with a friend for a long time uninterrupted. They also do Madeiran drinks like poncha, which is a rare find. But the service is really hit and miss, most often on the ‘miss’ side. Sometimes I am seen, other times I am ignored.

Perfect for dinner, delicious food, and always very friendly staff. I've been going there for years. Don't forget to try a shot of poncha!!

Lovely little Portuguese cafe just a few meters to the right over the stairs from the overground trains exit. Delicious food reasonably priced with the shop of delightful Portuguese food next to the cafe. Real hidden gem that I highly recommend! Enjoy!

Nice Spanish restaurant! I have been here twice. Every time I would select the seafood rice, which can be the best flavor in London. Although the price is a little high, the ingredients inside are fresh and rich, and the meal can serve at least two people. It even tastes better than that I had in Barcelona :)

Not been for a while and went to Lisbon recently, so we thought we had to come back and compare. Just as superb as ever. Had the octopus and bacalhau fishcakes to start and then the mixed fish grill to share which comes with boiled potatoes and carrots. Just delicious and we couldn't manage a dessert too. Nice bottle of vino verde too. You have to try the deli next door too. Superb Portuguese cakes and sardines.

Went there on the 18th for my partners Birthday, food excellent, staff excellent and very clean and tidy,and there house red wine Coreto is to die for, bought a bottle next door in there deli.There sister restaurant Picos a few doors down is also worth a visit.

I booked a table for 4 over the phone under my name. But when I came to the store at around 19pm, exactly the time I booked for, the manager told me that my name was not on the list. The indoor hall was empty with no one inside. So i asked about anything that the restaurant could help with if i was not booked in. He believed my story but insisted we had to wait for an hour. I asked if we could have a table without waiting. He was shaking his shoulder and head saying no, because with all the people on the list, you had to wait one hour. However, the indoor place was EMPTY!!! I emphasised I did everything that a customer could do, but he said no, you had to wait one hour. Because we were travelling and wanted the make the most out of our time, I decided to leave for another Portuguese restaurant next to it. The experience was horrible in total!!!

Dobre ceny, ilość jedzenia idealna, ale pizza mięsna jest z parówką, kawałkami mięsa i kawałkami kiełbasy, według mnie bez smaku, mało sosu pomidorowego. Carbonara w porządku, ale mało wyraźny smak boczku. Kurczak z jajkiem ryżem i surówką ok, dziwna kompozycja frytek z ryżem ale jak kto lubi. Burger z kurczakiem w porządku, mięso grillowane. Chętnie zjadłabym ponownie ale coś innego. Lasagne na talerzach innych gości wyglądało bardzo dobrze oraz risotto.

🍲🥗 The food is delicious! The food is fresh and the meat is of great quality! I recommend trying the "carne de porco à alentejana" it's a traditional southern Portuguese dish of pork with clams. It was divine! 💵💶 The prices are like London, £25 avg/pp with just main dish and a drink. 🏠 The decour is very Portuguese, but unfortunately the overground/ train passes right above and you can feel it trembling.
