The best restaurants in Lambeth London

Bit disappointed with the food and service this visit. The steak was a visibly low quality stringy fatty thin piece of meat. A side with my main had run out which is fine, what's not fine is others on my table had finished their meals as my main arrived 40mins later than theirs and being told as I'm handed the plate I'd have to go to the bar and ask for the side to be refunded. This then involved waiting at the bar to be 'served' and a further wait for a manager. Querying something about my plate the waiter advised he's not the chef - weird.

Price/quality is good, large quantities and lots of choice. But it is a glorified food shed. We tried to take it easy, but due to the enthusiasm of the waiters, we were left outside after an hour (main course with dessert). Great for a quick affordable bite! Also great with small kids. If you want atmosphere, finesse and take it easy then you shouldn't go here

We’ve been coming here for years - it’s a great location for meeting friends visiting London, right on the river and always busy. Unfortunately the pizzas we had today were really disappointing - the bases were pre-made, small and doughy, like a supermarket pizza. Toppings were underwhelming. Chilli oil was very mild - and that’s from someone who doesn’t love really hot food. Staff were attentive at first but then lost interest after we’d received our mains - no offer of more drinks or desserts, and I had to go and find someone for the bill. Gone are the days of lovely big charred and puffed-up hand-thrown pizzas, such a shame.

A rare & kool boat bar. Service is good but it’s a very small bar serving a lot of people!

The hotel is wonderful and strategically located, surrounded by tourist attractions The service was excellent and they welcomed us warmly The rooms are spacious and clean But the prices are very high

Worst ever, I am currently here with my wife, she obviously having a stroke and the receptionist noticed that, she referred us to a neurologist and it has been 50 minutes with no action, we are where the doctors are and 8 of them are now setting, chatting and laughing and not even a single one or a nurse offered to see her or check if she is ok. Will definitely escalate this

Lovely coffee and food and even lovelier staff

Always a great pub, and the slow cooked roast beef in Sunday was awesome.

Incredible restaurant, great food, service and decor. Unfortunately sat a few tables away from a very loud customer who ruined the ambience.

The food in here is excellent, and it's easy to see why it's rated so highly, locally. There's a small, cheap car park approx 100m away, where you can park up while you come and treat yourself to some of the best fish and chips Streatham has to offer.

Nice venue, nice staff and good service, but dire Sunday lunch (two Sundays in a row: we'd thought the first must be a one-off bad experience); and given that's what we were there for, we won't be back: chewy slices of beef; very fatty, gristley and 20% inedible lamb; roast potatoes completely uncrisp, big and flabby; undercooked parsnips; Yorkshire pudding dried-out to a crisp; leaving ok carrots and gravy!

Great location, real Italian and Sicilian food. I really like their lasagne and parmigiane, the owner and the staff are very knowledgeable people. Thumbs up to you!
