Florentine Restaurant & Bar in Lambeth

This was our last evening meal on our 25-day trip from Canada to UK and Ireland. We stayed the two nights in a nearby Waterloo hotel - and decided to have our last dinner meal here. We were not disappointed. Besides the delicious food, our server Jaynab was the highlight of our experience. She was gracious, professional and very attentive. From the time she took our reservation a couple hours before our arrival to delivering the bill, she was totally aware of our needs and wishes. Both our entrees (fish & chips and veggie lasagna), soup of the day and rocket salad were delivered appropriately and in a timely manner. Also enjoyed the relaxing ambiance in this restaurant

This is a great spot for a quiet dinner after a long day of touring London. We were looking for great food away from crowds to relax and have dinner. We greatly enjoyed the food. So flavorful and nice portions ! I suggest the chocolate mousse or pistachio tiramisu if you are a dessert fan. Our server, Joynab, was attentive and encouraged us to relax and enjoy our dinner. This was a great experience. (They do have vegetarian options that are delicious !)

We asked for gluten free options and the staff had no idea. They were reading the ingredients of packets. Surely the menus should have what’s GF by law now? Steak and sea bass were bland. Overall a poor experience.

Very friendly and accommodating restaurant. Our group of seven was able to get worked in quickly. Garlic bread appetizer and pizzas were excellent. Tiramisu was likewise excellent. Our server, Iman, was wonderful…very helpful and gracious. Nice place for our family!

I stayed in the Park Plaza Waterloo, where this restaurant is located, a couple of days after finishing a UK Tour. The last night I decided to try the Florentine Restaurant. I was disappointed. The menu was not varied, the food was so so, and the service left a lot to be desired. The whole time I was there the waiter never came to see if I needed something else! I certainly will not be doing there next time I am in London!

Ate here because I was staying in the PP Waterloo. Really, really impressed with the staff, they were all so incredibly helpful, attentive and friendly - they went over and above, genuinely. Sadly, I didn't get the names of the two who served me, or I'd be giving them a shout-out here. I had the burger, which was really good and substantial along with a tiramisu which certainly looked like it had been made on site and was glorious. It's always hit and miss with hotel restaurants, but I have to say this one hit every right note. Good, honest food and great service. I have to say as well, for London - decent prices too. Will not hesitate to use again when I next stay at the hotel.

Malheureusement, la cuisine de ce restaurant n'est pas à la hauteur des prix et du standing de cet établissement. Cuisson des pizzas approximative, avec l'utilisation de produits bas de gamme qui transforme une pizza 3 fromages en tranche de gras indigeste. Burger secs, suite à une surcuisson. Vin quelconque. Seul les dips italiens tirent leur épingle du jeu. Un point positif, un personnel efficace et sympathique.

My family and I were on vacation in London, England and this establishment is attached to the Park Plaza London Waterloo hotel. It is a very nice place, with updated decor. The menu itself is nice, but is directed more towards the tourists and vacationers that stay at the hotel. That was a little disappointing for me. From appetizers to mains, then to desserts the food had great flavour, appropriate size in portion, and presented well. Here is the only issue I have...service was very slow and they seemed confused as to whether to approach our table to take our order, or to clear our table after our courses. It took some time to get our bill, as well. Our experience overall was very pleasant and enjoyable. Yes, I would come back here the next time I'm in London. I do recommend this establishment.

The food was ok and we didn’t really have any complaints. The chicken skewer starter could do with having some flavour added as it was literally just grilled chicken and I prefer pitted olives if I’m honest. The salami pizza was normal pepperoni not salami though. I think it’s a decent offering if you don’t want to leave the hotel. The service was excellent. Very friendly staff and food and drinks delivered promptly.

Really disappointed. Came to this hotel for my wife’s 40th birthday with all the family and the food was appalling. Fish fingers for the kids tasted like processed fish and the Greek salads were simply awful. You get a better pizza from your local supermarket and the pizza oven was not in use so clearly out of the packet. Really disappointing .Hope breakfast is better!

Fabulous Italian meal. Simple, beautifully cooked food. Baked feta started was superb. Chicken and steak cooked to perfection. Desserts were superb. Service friendly, helpful and unobtrusive.

Today I visited the Florentine with my friends and had the most amazing time! The service was incredible and the food was just gorgeous! Our servers were so friendly and lovely, they made one of my first post-lockdown outings feel safe and positive. My friends and I opted for some nibbles and pizzas, which were so tasty and presented incredibly! I will definitely going back to the Florentine and I already can’t wait! X

Popped in here for lunch on the way back from Tate Britain. I had the chicken and avocado salad & my wife had the eggs Benedict. Both served quickly & fresh. Dessert of panacotta & affacota were good. Service nice and relaxed, there when you needed them, decor superb, loved it.
