The Bar at Fortnum & Mason Terminal 5 in Lambeth

Whenever I’m at Heathrow this is my go to place !! Love F and M and the whole concept,my only gripe is it’s 15% more expensive here than other locations ! But the foods good,service is good and the wines cold

Fresh, delicious and worth splurging on! I found myself at Heathrow not too long ago and finally stopped by Fortnum & Mason skipping my usual lounge lunch and what a delightful treat it was. I can honestly say one of the best oysters I have had which were fresh and came from Scotland. The lobster and potato salad were amazing and paired with a glass of champagne pure perfection.

Often walked past thinking I must give it a try, it was enjoyable but not fantastic, but certainly better than airline food. I prefer to decide how much I will pay for service, I dislike it when it is automatically included in the bill, 12.5% slightly annoying…

A quality outlet in T5. We had good coffees and a bacon sandwich. You sit at the dining bar to eat. Bacon sandwich was made with well-done toasted bread which maybe not to everyone's taste-maybe they could offer toasted or just on bread? The sandwich came with a small bowl of brown sauce that I did not ask for!

We got conned by the manager who lured us into getting a bottle of bubbles on the promise of giving us a “special price”… and then when the bill came told us that the special price meant it was cheaper than buying the equivalent number of glasses! Not the best start to our holiday and not what you expect from a brand like Fortnum and Mason. Funny story, the couple next to us complained that their white wine wasn’t cold enough and the same supercilious manager told them that they were wrong and white wine should be served warm. Recommend this place if you love this kind of thing, otherwise avoid.

The staff here are great! Very accommodating when you are in a hurry! My story is that during the period of covid I arrived after a hectic stay in UK . My flight to Cape Town was late. Nothing was open. I was hungry & stressed. Your staff found me some smoked salmon/wine and took care of me when they were already closed/closing for the night! I’ve never forgotten and do every time I pass through Terminal 5 I enjoy the hospitality here!! Thank you 🙏 Especially Gaudencio who still remembers me from that time 🌺

Very sad bacon sandwich. Bacon ok but the toast was sliced bread! With no butter. Vile and definitely one to avoid

This is our second visit and also second review of tripadvisor of Fortnum&Mason in T5. We ordered one cappuccino and a flat white. Both were terrible, not just poor. They were just very milky, very hot, liquid with a weak taste of coffee. We returned both to the staff. We made a similar visit and gave a similar report several years ago. Surely, our previous visit was just a bad day for F&M. Sadly not. The staff are clearly not trained to make a cappuccino or a flat white. With so many amazing high-quality coffee shops in the UK, to find a most prestigious brand failing so badly making a coffee is not a good reflection for then.

For some reason it has become a habit to have a drink before my flight despite the time! So I went here as it’s more in a quieter part of the airport and I wanted to try their fortnum and mason rose. This was nice enough, service is quick and attentive but as expected VERY expensive. You do get 10% discount in the shop if you keep the receipt.

J'ai l'habitude de m'arrêter dans ce bar à chaque fois que j'ai un vol en principe une fois par mois ,j'étais déçu de la façon comment j'étais traité par un du personnel je pense que c'est le manager un jeune homme que j'ai oublié de prendre son nom ,j'ai commandé des huîtres, un autre plat et un thé blanc qui est mon favoris et qui est mentionné dans la carte, il m à dit le thé chinois ,j'ai trouvé ce qu'il m à dit bizarre ,et j'ai demandé pourquoi vous avez précisé chinois , je sais que c'est thé chinois d 'ailleurs c est le meilleur pour moi ,mais agressivement il m'a dit vous avez un problème avec la chine ???il est malade ou il a un problème mais il doit pas se comporter de cette façon et déjà je trouve aucun sens de son commentaire.

This is the 2nd time i been to this Fortnum and Mason in T5 Heathrow airport. Service was bad, bad delays. The lady was talking to a passer by instead of waiting on customers. Huge delays in serving food and coffee. Overpriced and not impressed. NOT recommended, there are other eating places in T5 Heathrow that have better service and just as good coffee and breakfast.

Had the coffee and Avocado toast in Heathrow Terminal 5 London for breakfast. It is on the expensive side but the service was quick and efficient. The breakfast and coffee tasted high quality too. Various options available for breakfast, so will try the other items on the menu next time.

This is where you will find me anytime I have a long layover in Heathrow! Yes, its pricey but totally worth it considering day rates for lounge access. This is the Royal Family's grocer after all!! I've never had a bad meal here and have had some great conversations with fellow travelers. No better place to kill a few hours waiting for your next flight and you can pick up some fine treats in the adjacent F&M store.

My husband and I have just had a very expensive meal (GBP 45) for effectively a toasted cheese sandwich and a tasteless chicken salad. When you are going to charge such ridiculous prices at least make sure that the food is tasty. The idea is better than the reality

My husband and I always enjoy either drinks or delicious food at The Bar before flying out . We haven’t been lately due to Covid but made a beeline for it both before flying to Rome and after before flying to Glasgow. The initial visit lacked its usual first class service however, we gave it a second chance on our return. Unfortunately won’t be back the service was awful. The staff were arguing with each other in their own language . Food wasn’t anything special for the price we paid. Such a shame standards have fallen.

The most unwelcoming place I've ever been. Clearly identified as persona non grata as soon as I entered. Could feel all of the staff watching me within seconds of entering, within a minute I had a security guard at my shoulder following me - my 'Hi!' met with a steely stare. Dunno if it was the dyed blue hair, the Mickey Mouse t-shirt or something else but they obviously saw me as not their type of customer, a potential shoplifter or some kind of clear and present danger. They even followed me to the door when I left. Hilarious behaviour from what's no more than a food retailer for people with more money than sense. Won't return - not that they would have me

This is my second visit and I was not disappointed. Great service, silver. We had the smoked salmon with rye, beautifully presented and a good portion. We also had rose wine, all beautifully served. Such a comfortable place to sit for an hour. I popped in to the store too to pick up a few bits for my holiday.

Not worth the wait or price tag! We ordered a cappuccino and decaffeinated tea and toast and it took over 25 minutes. The toast was warm bread. The coffee was gritty and very bitter and the tea was caffeinated.

Comenzamos nuestro viaje de marzo a Nassau con un elegante desayuno en el bar de Fortnum & Mason T 5. Su ubicación lejos de las tiendas libres de impuestos ofrecía ciertamente un ambiente para comer más tranquilo. La apetitosa exhibición de mariscos frescos, el hermoso bar de la isla con un buen servicio de personal complementado con un delicioso salmón ahumado fresco y un refrescante té de mezcla de exploradores nos prepararon para un buen comienzo. ¡Definitivamente nos conectaremos en el Bar, la próxima vez que salgamos de T 5!

Always wanted to try this establishment and as we were celebrate my wife's birthday and retirement we decided to indulge. The service, as you would expect, was superb and the breakfast dishes we tried - Blueberry Pancakes and Scottish Porridge with berries and nuts were both tasty and accompanied by very good coffee. Bill was pricy but that is to be expected .

I visited based on some positive recommendation. I ordered a Flat White Coffee. What was served was a hot milky coffee, no froth, weak coffee flavour. I complained and was immediately offered a replacement. The second coffee, also supposed to be a Flat White, was equally poor very milky coffee.I pointed out again that the coffee was NOT a Flat White and I explained what was wrong. I left the bar for my flight.Was this a bad day? There were four members of staff behind the counter. Was this poor training. I was disappointed and surprised.

As being between flights and not enough time to get to and enjoy lounge I opted for a quick glass of champagne at Fortnum & Mason. The bar was quite busy but there seemed more than enough staff working but despite this seemed to wait a bit of time to be served even though staff were looking available to serve. Finally got served with the wrong drink ordered and once again had to wait a few minutes to get bill and pay for it even though the staff, once again, seemed to be available.

It is always a joy to stop for a little bite to eat and a coffee at this lovely and professionally run bar just far enough away from the hustle and bustle.

We sat down at the breakfast stools at 6.30am. Friendly welcome. Efficient staff. Good toast, coffee and bacon sandwiches. Very pleasant in the up market shopping area so not too busy. Service charge added to the bill already but was certainly not an issue. Would definitely go back.

I wanted to find somewhere quieter to sit for a snack before may flight and did not like the look of anything on offer until I walked up to the Fortnum and Masons The Bar. The name instinctively drew me and I had no hesitation to sit up at the servery bar. An absolutely excellent coffee with fruit toast and jam. Excellent service, clean, neat and exactly lived up to the standard of Fortnum and Masons

We decided to sit and have a coffee and suddenly found ourselves in a world far removed from the bustle around us. So nice. From now on we will always head to Fortnum & Mason’s bar. Great snack and meals too. Costs a wee bit more but it’s worth it.

Every flight I take from T5 has to include a visit here... Morning flight this time but not too early for bubbles for my Mum.... Avocado and chilli on toast and oysters just delicious.... Absolute must visit if in T5!!!

I love everything from Fortnum & Mason!! I have now enjoyed a lovely breakfast at The Bar in Heathrow terminal 5! What a way to wait for your flight! A must do and you will not be disappointed!!

Amidst all boring food places at Terminal 5, F&M; offers a quick, yet delicious meal. Not only that, the wine list is simply great!

Hace una gran diferencia cuando una manzana se corta en rodajas, como con el queso y salmuera Lincolnshire Poacher Ok para 8. 50. capuchino para 3. 95 es muy asequible y una taza de té Countess Grey para 5. 95 también no a mal. Seriously fresh food, light and tasty snacks such as avo on toast with chilli (excellent), Dorset crab, Caesar Salad etc served incredibly efficiently by well coordinated and professional crew. A revelation and delight for any professional foodaholic fed up with samey airport food. Definitely coming back.....

This is my go-to place for a meal before I jet of on BA. I always try to get there either mid afternoon or early evening where there are not too busy. Great selection of food and wine and their cheese board is always good value too. (although they have now removed the honey and grape which used to come with their Comte) Best red wine from their list is by far the Australian Barossa Valley by Rockford although it wouldn't surprise me if they have replaced that one with an own-brand by now. service is great and I would not miss it!

What better way to start your day when flying out of terminal 5 on an early flight than breakfast at F&M.; Scrambled eggs and avocado or the classic toasted ham and cheese with some champagne. Sublime! Great service by friendly and chatting staff.

When searching for unique items for holidays or that classic tea blend, look no further than Fortnum & Mason. Was happy to find they had options for sale in the Duty Free store but for the best selection pop into the store and take in what F&M; is serving up.

Da quanto è aperto, ogni volta che torniamo a casa da Londra ci fermiamo qui per un cocktail veloce prima di prendere l’aereo per tornare a casa.

Simplemente la peor experiencia de desayuno de mi vida. Pensé que tendría un buen desayuno en T 5 Fortnum & Mason. El café estaba bien, pero esperaba algo mejor. Sándwich de tocino era horrible. Tocino graso con pan de masa fermentada sobre cocido. Mi esposa tenía crumpets y té de desayuno. Eso no era el té del desayuno, un olor extraño. Cerca de los 30 pensé que esto era una desgracia y manché el nombre de F&M; en mi mente.

Nos íbamos para un fin de semana especial a Copenhague, así que decidimos ir a tomar un desayuno con champán aquí. Nos recibieron muy bien y nos sentamos en el bar con la botella. Todo muy bien Llegó a pagar y luego notó que habían agregado un 12. 5% de propina en ello. Blimey, eso es un poco rico solo por abrir la botella!

I had a few hours to kill at Heathrow Airport (Terminal 5) and decided to try Fortnum & Mason as I was a bit hungry. So I sat down and ordered myself 6 oysters, potted shrimps and a glass of white wine. The meal was delicious and the oysters were very fresh. The potted shrimps was some new to me but it goes very well with the toasted bread and pickled cucumber. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and was able to chill before the next flight home.

Visited on two separate occasions, wanted something different from usual pub food, wasn't disappointed service is first class plus ample staff unlike some of the other establishments in Terminal 5. Cider first class as were the cheese and ham platter.

We had an early morning flight out of Heathrow and were looking for a place for breakfast. This counter in the shopping area of Terminal 5 fit the bill. Breakfast was from a limited menu but was very good. Pancakes with berries and great coffee. They have a small store near buy so I could buy potted Stilton and marmalade.

Pre booked and arrived timely only to meet an unprepared staff, long delay and disappointment in semi dry sandwiches and dull cakes. Oh, what a sham and so harming to the brand. We had (much) better teas in London. Will not return.

An exquisite oasis in the desert. A little pocket of refinement and class serving up beautifully presented food. We sat facing the staff and watched as they prepared peoples requests with grace and style. Don’t tell anyone but 2 glasses of wine and a fish platter to share only cost £42! - we could have easily spent £20 somewhere else and endured deep mediocrity and lashings of the great unwashed. We didnt seem to notice anyone passing behind us such is the spell of this captivating little island.

The stand is amazing however the breakfast chef the lady has been there for a while is the slowest server even when the counter is empty. It took 25 minutes to get a bacon sandwich. By the time the sandwich came the tea was cold. I must say the bacon sandwich is the best but not worth the wait when you have a flight to catch. They need another toast machine or a chef

We made the mistake of walking past F&M; because we thought it would be too expensive. . .boy were we wrong!!!!!

Este bar de la isla de buen gusto sirve un menú limitado y todo cuidado es justo - rápido, sabroso y de primera calidad. Personal amable y eficiente. Nos visita en cada tránsito. El único desafío es mantener su nivel especial y no ser tentados a aceptar cualquier deterioro gradual (Menciono esto ya que recientemente cambiaron sus clientes ofreciendo salmón no aviso. Nos trajo a la atención del personal).

airports are stressful at the best of times, but F & M at T5 did its very best to make a short visit to their bar restaurant an enjoyable and relaxing one and were quite successful, I certainly continued on my journey in a more relaxed state after a sumptuous fresh Avocado on Toast and a very nice glass of champagne. Currently sat here enjoying the rest of my champagne. I had Highland Fling, which is smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and is on their menu before noon. Beautifully cooked creamy eggs wrapped in a hoop of salmon. Gorgeous! Served with rye toast. Highly recommended as service superb too

The Bar at Fortnum & Mason is the best place at Heathrow Airport to have a drink and some delicious food, great service and so British!

Airport food will never live up to restaurants in the city centre, but Fortnum's does its best here. If your flight is delayed, then this is a perfect spot to relax and eat - the avocado on toast is absolutely sublime.

Usually before flying back home we have a light supper at F & M- Every time the quality and freshness of the food were excellent. As for the staff they could not be more accommodating and friendly.

I really enjoyed my breakfast of the croque monsieur sandwich. Prompt and efficient service. It was nice to find a place to relax in this busy airport terminal.

Normalmente comer Caviar House & Prunier en pero pensé que le daría una oportunidad a este lugar. La calidad del pescado y selección de vinos son extremadamente pobres en comparación con Caviar House. Mi mujer pidió una ensalada de gambas cóctel de gambas 6 contenía unos pocos lechuga hojas y cuesta £18 y! No espero que este tipo de sitios de Casa barato ciertamente no se puede Caviar acusados de ser barato pero espero productos de primera calidad y porciones decentes. Te recomiendo que evita este lugar si es posible.

Always try to stop by when in Heathrow. The staff are very efficient and friendly, Welsh Rarebit is fabulous and hits the spot every time. Highly recommended for a snack, lunch or dinner no matter where your body clock happens to fall.

Ho fatto colazione in questo meraviglioso bar/ristorante. Il posto è molto elegante e la possibilità di vedere i cuochi mentre preparano il tuo cibo è un tocco di classe in più. Prezzi non proprio economici, ma la qualità è altissima.

Loved the food, portions were good enough for adults and ofcourse lipsmacking good. Staff always have a smile on their face which adds much for your enjoyment. Sea food is specially very tasty. All professional, polite staff.had a good time.

Un rituel devenu constant consiste, pour nous, à venir prendre ici la demi-bouteille de champagne (même à l'ouverture... à 5h30 du matin!), chaque fois qu'une correspondance amène nos pas dans le terminal 5 d'Heathrow. Il y a ce flair anglais délicieux, qui tient à la classe des serveurs, aux tonalités chaudes et enveloppantes, à ce petit côté flegmatique qui sied si bien. La maison a ses lettres de noblesse; elle les mérite amplement.
