10/10 I was studying English with EF just around the corner and some friends took me to this place, as a student this was a lifesaver. The food is great the prices are surprisingly fair, and the people are just lovely. I had either a Tricolore or a Mozarella panini almost every single day for a month, THEY FEED ME FOR A MONTH. I took my friends with me too, it became "our spot". The service was quick and easy and the blonde waitress always took my order with a smile. The pastel de nata for dessert is a must !! Apparently they do a great English Breakfast since I saw people ordering it often. If you're around the area, do yourself a favor and try out this place. I will miss it so much now I'm away but I know I'll go back someday. PLEASE DON'T CHANGE TOO MUCH PS: I recommend the Vegetarian Panini for gloomy days and Tricolore for sunny ones

I often drop in here when travelling through Waterloo. The reason being you can always rely on a decent bit of food at a good price. The place is popular and not oversized so you are a little at elbows at busy times. This adds to the atmosphere of a traditional London cafe. I had the breakfast bap, a meal to set you up for the day. A Deluxe breakfast was also had, washed down with coffee. If you visit you can order at the counter or there is table service. Very much worth pop in.

Bought a panini today, I was quite late for lunch and the sandwich they toasted was really stale. The ham was grey from being on display, cheese was ok but not much of it, bread was hard and dry, it was supposed to have basil in but there was only a tiny bit. I was disappointed as I have heard good things but my experience was poor.

Nestled on the unassuming Wootton Street in Waterloo, Waterloo Cafe is a haven for weary travelers and hungry locals alike. Stepping inside, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling bacon instantly put my stomach at ease. In search of a hearty breakfast to fuel my day, I opted for a classic – the omelette, baked beans, fried tomato, hash browns, and buttered toast combo. And let me tell you, it was a symphony of comfort food that hit all the right notes. The omelette, nicely cooked. The baked beans, simmered to a perfect sweetness, danced around the omelette in a comforting hug. The fried tomato, juicy and bursting with sunshine, added a touch of acidity to cut through the richness. The hash browns, crispy on the outside and soft within, provided a satisfying textural counterpoint. And the buttered toast, a canvas for golden butter, was the perfect base for mopping up all the deliciousness. The charm of Waterloo Cafe extends beyond the delicious food. The friendly staff, buzzing with the energy of a well-oiled machine, added to the warm and inviting atmosphere. As I left Waterloo Cafe, my stomach full and my heart happy. The combination of nicely cooked food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere made it an experience that went far beyond simply fuelling up. If you're looking for a hearty, no-frills breakfast, look no further than Waterloo Cafe. Just be prepared to share your table with the locals, because this Waterloo gem is definitely a neighbourhood favourite.

I do love the Waterloo Cafe and it’s been a stalwart of the area for many a year. The staff are always friendly and there is a vast selection of sandwiches, baguettes, paninis and hot food available. It’s very popular with locals, passers by and workers from the area. Only downside is the prices have gone up quite a lot in the past year which is a shame. I get small businesses are struggling, but the rises are significant and more than most people have seen their wages grow in the same space of time. I’ll always show my support as they’re lovely in here, but less often now given the higher prices.

Beware all Indians- these people are racists and judge you. On 28th May 2022, me and my Aunt visited this cafe. We are Indians living in US. We ordered. Food was okay and we are waiting for our rental car pickup in the corridor. Two people who are serving the tables showed us their attitude. I think they are not English. But definitely European. We sat at an outside table and the restaurant was empty though they asked us to leave the table and muttering in foreign language. They're rude. They did like that because we are of brown skin. Never going their again and I ask other Indians not to go as well. They judge you. We felt disgusted and left.

I got a portion of cod bites for £4 and a large chips for £3.90. Cod bites were lovely but very very small and thin, one portion is probably equivalent to 1/4 of a fillet of cod. I'd get two if I were to buy again. Chips were fairly standard, maybe a little bit too oil-soaked and not quite as crispy as you'd want them. Overall a very OK offering.
