Went for a coffee with a friend. Have been waiting for 20 mins for someone to take our order. We were fully ignored by staff.
Very shocked and won’t be back.
Food, service and atmosphere all excellent. Will come back when opportunity comes up. The BBQ roast pork was so tasty. Didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive.
Mixed feelings about this place. First time I went it was one of my favorite meals in London. I didn't remember what I ordered and next time I went, was appalled by the taste of the food. It was just BLAND like it was pub food or something. The crab sauce tofu was terrible and had no salt or flavor and also looked like a failure. The dry chili garlic chicken was also tasteless and pointless. I would be vegetarian if that was what chicken normally tastes like. Again, it was really good the last time I went so it's not all terrible, just very unsure if I would try it again, especially for the price.
In honesty this wasn't our original destination, but a change in circumstances and a recommendation led us to this restaurant (which I thought was just a pub, how wrong!)
They managed to accommodate us and I'm so glad they did.
With 4 of us we started with 3 x Beef Carpaccio & 1 x Burrata, all plates cleared!
For mains: 2 x Fegato Burro e Salvia with added caramelized onions (substantial but delicious)
1 x Linguine Caldesi Prawns - again delicious
1 x Guancia Di Maiale - a little bit left as large portion, but thorouly enjoyed
Desserts consisted of:
1 x Tortin Cuore Caldo & 1 x Sicilian Banana Mouse, the later being very unusual and a very pleasant combination, the mouse was so light and with the crunchy top and lemon at the bottom it gave a mixture of both texture and tart and sweet.
1 x Cheese selection - again all good
Having found by chance I would definitely revisit.
One of the best meals we've ever had! Every dish was perfectly cooked and packed with incredible flavors. The service was exceptional, and the ambiance was cozy and relaxing. We will definitely be back soon for another amazing experience!
Went online to find somewhere to get healthy food while on a trip to London and found this gem. As two vegetarians we were delighted with the various options on the menu. The venue itself is chill and cosy inside. The staff member who served us was very friendly. We loved the food and would definitely go back.
My friend and I visited the Selfridges outlet today and were attended by Shija (we got her name from one of the other staff members), who unfortunately provided us with a disappointing experience. We ordered a chicken yakitori from the hot menu and selected a few colored plates from the belt. After waiting for 30 minutes and nearly forgetting about our order, the dish still hadn’t arrived. When we approached Shija to address the situation, her response made things even worse. She informed us that the yakitori was sold out but failed to update us earlier. While we understand that these things happen, we expected a more thoughtful and sincere acknowledgment of the issue. Instead, she simply stated that the dish was sold out and walked away without offering any further assistance or apology. As regular customers of Yo! Sushi, we were shocked by this lack of professionalism. We felt compelled to share this feedback, hoping that future interactions with staff members will be more positive.
Very expensive food and drinks. But because of the location, I guess these are the sort of prices you’d be expecting to pay. So the review is not based on the prices.
We were in the lower sports bar. They had two pool tables which took contactless payment. These very rarely worked. The machine also took coins but again refused to work. The staff didn’t seem interested that we lost quite a bit of money in these tables and didn’t do anything about it. When we did get to play, the tables were very uneven and poorly looked after. For the amount they charge for one game, you’d think they’d look after the tables better.
Onto the dart boards. They have two boards in a very narrow area. Very little room for manoeuvre when two people playing at once. A slight lapse in concentration when retrieving your darts could see you getting hit by darts from the other board. The other most bizarre thing about this was there are no scoring machines, which does happen in some pubs, but also not even blackboards to chalk your scores. Keeping scores on your phone is not the most ideal for a quick glance when throwing. Poor show.
The area is a very nice size and has the potential to be a great little venue for private parties etc.
Unfortunately the prices, lack of care for the facilities and convenience when playing makes me give it the thumbs down. Better management of this could possibly make it one of the best locations in London for pool and darts. Hopefully the owners can take advantage of a potential amazing sports bar.
Went to the Henry Holland for a drink with some work colleagues, first drink out in almost a year and we got seated upstairs. A group of 3 middle aged/elderly ladies sitting near us took offence to our volume and apparent high morale and reported to the landlord that one out or group flashed his penis ( didn’t happen) with one side of the story we were then refused service and the other party left the bar anyway. Bar staff were fine.Won’t be back tho.The also had CCTV that could have been checked but wasn’t.
