My daughter and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Regents Park for two weeks, so we found ourselves eating at the restaurant quite a bit. I was actually impressed with the varied menu and quality of the food for a mid level hotel restaurant. I'm a picky eater, so this is saying a lot! We must have tried 2/3 of the menu items, and there was only one ham sandwich I didn't care for at all. Everything else, from the Oriental Noodles, Mahkani Curry, grilled salmon to the fish and chips (the batter on this was a cut above most in London? were well prepared, had tasty sauces and side veggies or fries. The food was hot on delivery, even room service, without fail. The staff was more than happy to handle our special requests, such as sauce on the side, or extra tartar, and always got the order correct. The wait staff was also so sweet and accommodating to us at every meal or room service delivery. My only complaint was that the few times I ordered a grilled chicken breast to add to an entree, it was dry and had no seasoning. But I simply cut it up and mixed it with the Asian noodle sauce or curry sauce of the entree. All in all, this restaurant was a pleasant surprise

The staff were second to none. Couldn't be more polite and helpful. The food really was average hotel food. Nothing to rave about but also nothing really to complain about. Great range in the menu. Fills a spot but wouldn't be back unless we had to. Again, staff are so welcoming and lovely here.

Excellent hotel. We booked this hotel as it was good value for money and it was only a 15 minute walk away from the London Palladium and it was close enough to Euston Station. The only downside is the price of the breakfast. If it was cheaper it would stop guests having to go to local cafe's. Such a shame.

Restaurant was quiet. Ordered steak, with sides. Chips and onion rings where fine but salad was aweful and not worth the price. The steak was a decent piece of meat cooked quite well but was not hot enough which was a shame. For the price I'd expected better. Ok for one night but I won't be returning.

I attended a meeting here today and just assumed I wouldn’t be able to eat as I’m on slimming world and need to control those bad food urges. Well what can I say but WOW. I ordered an omelette, asked for a jacket, no butter, salad, no dressing and they smiled and said no problem. The meal was delicious and exactly how I wanted it. They then stepped even that up by giving me a simple fruit salad, not on the menu, as I wouldn’t, even though tempted, order a pudding. Thank you so much for making my day 😘

My wife and dined here while on a 3 night break in the capital. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was included on the first night. We reserved our table for 2030. When we arrived the waiter showed us to a perfectly nice table in a perfectly nice restaurant area. There were only 2 other tables occupied however. We were handed a piece of paper on which the set menu was printed. We ordered some drinks while we looked at the menu. So far so good. Should have read the warning signs though when the waiter didn't know what the soup of the day was-the only thing he had to remember all night, right? My wife ordered the asparagus and poached egg to start followed by the 8oz sirloin. I had the steak too but pate to start. We also ordered a bottle of Shiraz. My wife enjoyed her starter and my pate was ok but overpowered by the chutney which was supplied in exactly the same quantity as the pate. It was the steaks however that were a real let down. Poorly cooked. Bad quality. Gristly meat. Mine also tasted like it was on the turn, maybe aged a little too long? The twice cooked chips were very nice however as was the sticky toffee pudding I had for dessert (my wife had fruit platter). Then the fun really started. We were asked to sign for the meal to acknowledge we'd had it. Fine. Then we were told that we needed to pay there and then for the £35 drinks bill as we hadn't left a card imprint at reception and couldn't therefore charge them to the room. Well I knew I had left my card details for extras and had no intention therefore of going up to the room to get payment. All I got thrown at me by the staff was that the "system" said I hadn't left card details. This resulted in something of an impasse. 4 different staff members and 30mins later it transpired that they had made an error and had got someone else's room number mixed up with ours. Without an apology they then asked me to sign the bill to which I said no way as I'd been treated like a liar and inconvenienced by being detained in restaurant while the matter was sorted. Eventually the manager apologised and agreed to waive the drinks bill. I didn't have the fight left to speak to them about the food........... I would never eat here again and it only gets 2/5 because the staff eventually correct their mistake and apologised and because some of the food was good.

Not my sort of place. No selection of cask ales. Took a while to get (noticed) served. Not on my list of city drinking establishments. There are better places.
