Very decent place in central London, with cool (but small) art gallery. Came across this place through friend's recommendations. The atmosphere was pleasant.

It may look like a dowdy out of date pub but apparently it's a trendy bar full of artworks

I was staying at the Cavendish on St. James and was going out to eat...it was coming down in buckets...I noticed a Pub across the street and downstairs...I ran across and read the menu and they serve Award Winning Meat Pies, Steak, Steak and Kidney, Ham and Cheese, Steak and Stilton, Game pies, Venison...What a wonderful surprise...I had to go to the bar to order and they delivered my Steak and Stilton to the table with a Lager in a large soup dish which had a bed of wonderful Fresh Mash on the bottom, the Pie sitting on top, lots of Pea's on the side and covered in the thickest, almost black beef gravy.. it was so good and so filling. I had not planned this visit but was so very pleased. When in London, its one street behind Piccadilly at the back of Fortnum and Mason, and opposite the Duke St. entrance to the Cavendish. Worth a special trip for fab. Pub atmosphere, great selection of beer and ... love those pies.

What an absolute gem of a place this coffee shop is. Drove to Harrow to have my car fixed and found this little oasis while I waited. Beautiful frothy hot chocolate, a vegetarian breakfast and a slice of homemade jaffa cake were all equally delicious. Lovely friendly staff and a very clean WC. Highly recommended 👌
