Really good sized dishes and delicious food. The menu has a good selection of dishes, especially for vegetarians. The service was slightly slow but other than that it was great.

Amazing food and staff. A nice restaurant located in a quiet location. Menu is rich and attractive and quality is unique. I will definitely be back.

This was an office do they catered for my garlic allergy and my food was lovely but friends food was not that special - service very slow, did serve a very good red wine though - staff friendly and even gave us a free round of drinks however service was sooooo slow

Went here for my birthday meal and wasn't disappointed! Food was great and so too were the staff, very welcoming and always on hand. No long wait for food or drinks. In a great location with a good cocktail bar directly below!

Burgers were great, very good quality and it had good fries. Waitresses were extremely friendly and were very entertaining. Best quality food I have had in a while.

We all had amazing pasta and wine. The waitress was one of the most kind and helpful person I've meet at a restaurant. It was a very nice atmosphere and really worth a visit.

I and two friends visited here for dinner before heading out for a night of cocktails for my birthday. We arrived a good twenty minutes early but that was no problem! We were welcomed in warmly and given our table. The servers were very friendly and only added to our dining experience (which was on the special side for my birthday!) The food was absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend Fat Lorenzo's! We had breads and olives to start, followed by tortellini, ragu and a pizza. All of which was delicious!! Then, for desert we had tiramisu and gelato, yummy yummy!! All in all a very fun and delicious start to our night! Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcome indeed! The cocktails were very good too!

Went here for a girly birthday evening. Prosecco to start was delicious! Zucchini fries were totally delicious, the classic ragu sauce was just insane clearly and family recipe that's been mastered over time! Tiramisu was gorgeous too! They have gelato cocktails too which look delicious a though we didn't try them ☺️The decor was a mix of Italian American, Sylvester Stallone making an appearance The atmosphere was super chilled and homely and as the title says the staff were so so so lovely! Lovely evening ☺️

Thank you for an amazing night the food, service, toilets everything was absolute perfection. The pasta dishes were exceptional, al dente and full of flavour, the wait time was less than 10 mins for four dishes! The team at Fat Lorenzo's work extremely hard and we wish you all the best of success in the future! We will be back! Oh and the liquors are amazing - especially when it's open bottle!!

Lunchtime meal, 3 people, booked in advance. Only one person cooking and one serving. Ordered a pre lunch drink of Bacardi and coke, to be told have no Bacardi, would I like Martini!!! Considering there are at least two major supermarkets within a few hundred yards, how can you 'run out' of anything. Discovered that the the Website menu differs from the actual restaurant one, in that main dishes do not come with an included side order. But not to be outdone the restaurant menu stated a 'specials board' that did not exist. The food was average and the minestrone soup did not come with bread as stated.Visit again, no not worth the effort or cost.

The restaurant is in central London but I find it to be an awkward spot. It's about 5-6mins walk from the closest tube station (great Portland street). The waitress who served us was lovely. Really nice lady. Very friendly and helpful.I really wish I could say the food was as good as the service. WhileIt wasn't terrible (at least the mains) it was just really average.... We went for the burritini (I think that's the name) which is a pizza in a roll. It was ok but not something I would reorder.The deserts were not good. The brownie cup was so industrial and the tiramisu was just wet chocolate cake.I wouldn't go back. The food was not very good but service made this review 3 stars.

Absolutely the most fun we had during our short stay in London. The owners were the friendliest people we met in London - we had great conversation with them. We also really enjoyed trying the artisan beers. The place has great ambiance, and the few dishes we tried, including the bruschetta, were really nice. Would recommend it to anyone.

Open kitchen service is good very reasonable nothing flamboyant but warm ambience coffee and classic burger in 30 minutes for 12 quid .has got the fat pig cocktail bar downstairs good value for money homely food taste

Our waitress, Alessandra, was wonderfully warm and attentive throughout. I had the seafood linguine on her recommendation, and it was delicious.

We decided to try this restaurant on the trip advisor ratings. Had to cancel the first time due to family circumstances, but rebooked for tonight. Started with the antipasto for two, which consisted of Parma, rocket, mini bread rolls and another sausage meet.. YUM!! Pizzas were to die for and we struggled to finish them, but staggered on to the ice cream/gelato and sorbet... Then as we progressed the fun started! Our waitress Alessandro was lovely and had a great personality! Joined in the fun with us trying Italian (or my husband trying!).. Then the Limoncello, strawberry liquor and liquorice liquor came out and the conversation was flowing! "Pete" and Dave were great! We learnt about the history of the restaurant and how it catered for BBC radio across the road and the history of the name!This is an absolute gem in the middle of London! Don't go if you are looking for pomp and Michelin stars.. Go for the fun and atmosphere! Sure, things aren't perfect, the table was a slight angle!! but that was probably us moving it! The wine was lovely - probably should have bought that bottle of Valpolicella, but it was lovely all the same!!! And it's definitely somewhere we will go back to!! Great job lads!!!! We will definitely be recommending it (but not too much! Don't want you getting too high on the scale!!)

The staff at Fat Lorenzo's were lovely, and really appeared to be concerned we should have an enjoyable evening. Food was great and tasted more authentically Italian than most Italian restaurants I have eaten at in London. Fantastic Italian craft beers. Generally had a great evening.

My partner and I ate here on 10/3/16 for his birthday. There are a number of things about this restaurant that make it great.The food - the menu is the perfect size not to big not to small and offers something for everyone. My partner had the seafood risotto and having eaten in various places in Italy he is very picky. He found this to be one of the best he had ever had. The fish was cooked to perfection, not chewy and not to salty. I had mushroom tagliatelle which was delicious. Everything we ate was fantastic. A surprise dessert for my partners birthday was a nice unasked for treat as well as getting the whole restaurant to sing happy birthday to him. Service- the staff were just wonderful. Richard and co are a real asset. They were very friendly and chatty and made you feel welcome immediately. They make the restaurant. You don't feel like you need to eat and leave like in big chains where you tend to ignored. The staff take time out to speak to everyone and don't rush you. Venue - small, modern and independent makes everything about this place a great place to eat.We will be returning on our next visit and highly recommend it.

A wonderful Italian restaurant with a great selection of delicious meals. But what made the evening so memorable was that the wonderful food was backed up by the great atmosphere provided by the staff who were so friendly and helpful throughout the night.A great place, I cannot recommend Fat Lorenzo's highly enough.

Having looked on several websites for a top reviewed restaurant in London which had to be 1 local 2 affordable & 3 accept our fine dinning club card we found Fat Lorenzos which at the time of booking was 60th out of 19,000 Allot of the time these figures are hyped up or false in some way but there are some hidden gems (this is one of them gems)Firstly its traditional that places who accept dinning cards usely ain't very happy to accept bookings dispite the fact what we usualy like to dine in none busy times due to our commitments and are normally good customers who want to try new things or they try wack you with extra charges for everything on very unclear bills... Not here they ask you to mention clearly when booking and to see card when paying other than that no nasty surprises a clear bill and a fair service charge on the bill and very nice hard working people serving you in nice settings all is good Now I've got passed the introduction now on to "our experiance" and did it come upto the top 60 in London as voted for on trip adviser by the majority Answer is Yes Yes Yes Why... Ok here goesDrinks lovely bar lots or choice and a quality selection no faults there Starters apologies if I don't use the Italian names correctly but starters we had a prawn cocktail and a salmon dish (with Italian names) both fresh well presented and tasty...Mains. We tried Barrini? Rolled pizza they are famous for from there family recipes from where they originate from its both different, quality and refreshingly original well presented and was a good choice Desserts very good choice here and my girlfriend got the mango one not sure of name but quality well presented Service friendly it's faultless and ontop of this there's a open kitchen next to where we sat and lots of windows and good lighting it's a good whole experiance from start to finish so 5 stars from me and well done and hopefully your restaurant will continue to be great for a long time to comeThank you from Dave

Booked in to here a bit last minute on a Saturday night to go for a meal with my partner. The food was absolutely perfect everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I really can't say enough good things about the food. The staff were great, very welcoming and friendly and topped off the experience. I visit London a few times a year with my partner and we will make it a point to go for food here every time we are down as we enjoyed it so much

Went on a Fri night it was very busy and very very noisy . £ parties of birthday/hen type and found I had to yell across the table to my friend to be heard , noise wise I could not wait to get out . Now obiviously the restaurant can do nothing about this so was the food worth it ?Well no it was't it wasn't bad just average really , main course of pulled pork was pretty good but my starter ( calamari and whitebait and dessert of apple and mascarpone cake ) were forgettable , ( calamari was all crunch and very little squid , cake was bland ) . My friend summed it up by saying the best thing there was his cocktail called a Tuscan Mule ( rum ginger and something esle I think)Staff and service mind were excellent given the noise and number of people . Would I go again if it was quiet there , well no unlikely it was nothing special and have def had better Italian in London.

I had a lovely meal here last weekend with a group of about 14 of us.The staff were really attentive and the antipasti starter has lovely fresh meats and cheeses, as well as being a very generous size. Both the pizza and pasta were delicious (I had a bit of both!), and the place has a great atmosphere on a Friday night! There are a fair few Italian restaurants in Fitzrovia, but if you are struggling which one to pick, then I would really recommend Fat Lorenzos. Just popped in for a pizza & prosecco on my way home form work after a day from hell & so glad I did. I had heard that the food was good & was not disappointed, I had the calzone verdura which was bigger than the plate! I was so pleasantly surprised to find such a friendly & vibrant atmosphere on a Tuesday evening that I ended up staying on for a few more drinks. I have to confess to also ordering a side of Zucchini fries as I got chatting & all the food coming out smelled so good. The owner even proffered a taster of their Italian digestifs. A thoroughly nice & unexpected evening out!

We enjoyed a good value informal business lunch at Fat Lorenzo. The staff were very friendly and the service was efficient. The pasta and salad was tasty.

Went with my wife and the restaurant was fairly quiet being a Monday night.Our waitress was very nice and helpful with the menu. Up in 'The Wicked City' to see War Of The World. Booked Fat Lorenzo's for Friday night on Trip Advisor rating. I was not disappointed the kitchen is open to the restaurant and we were sat close by. Chatted to the chef and watched him twirling pizza bases. We had antipasto, veal and lasagne, my daughter having their cake, bottle of negroamara. The Italian waiter with broad London accent was very friendly. A pleasant evening culminating in an Italian bitter orange liqueur which was delicious. Restaurant was full with a variety of choices. Will go again on next trip from W. Wales.With 10% service cost us £90 for 2

Nice moderately sized Italian restaurant, with a much better value menu than similar places in Covent Garden. Starter portions and pizzas were huge, pasta dishes less so. Good service but I prefer to choose amount to tip rather than having 10% added automatically. Will eat here again next time I'm in London.

Myself and my boyfriend ate here for lunch last week. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and our waitress was very attentive, and we didn't have to wait long at all for the food to arrive. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the decor is elegant and simple. Lovely location, perfect place to go after a stroll in Regent's Park. The food was beautiful and very good value-my pizza was enormous! Would definitely visit again when we are next in the area. Thank you very much for having us :)

We had a great time in Fat Lorenzo's last night. I was looking for a pizza restaurant with plenty of choice and a friendly atmosphere to celebrate our 18 year old's birthday. After a day out in central London some of our party arrived at the restaurant an hour before our reservation at 7pm. The staff were more than happy to seat us early and we had a few Happy Hour cocktails and complimentary garlic bread while we waited for the last of the group to arrive.We tried the whitebait and calamari starter and ordered more cheesy garlic pizza bread. All delicious.Our main courses, pizzas and chilli were also fantastic. The owner and staff led the restaurant in a chorus of "Happy Birthday" and gave Tom a beautifully presented Panna Cotta for desert. The banana split proved to be too enormous for our 10 year old! I had a Sgroppino Cocktail made with lemon sorbet for desert. Perfetto. The staff are hardworking and cheerful which makes for a lovely, relaxed atmosphere.The wine list is well selected and we even received a Happy Hour discount on a very nice bottle of Barolo.Fat Lorenzo's is a great place to have a delicious meal and a few cocktails and we will be very happy to go back.

... But the food let it down. We ordered prawns, calamari and white bait with fresh salad - it all came out deep fried (very disappointed) and the calamari was very over cooked. We also had a pizza burrito and that was very heavy on the dough but thin on the filling. Ice cream and cocktails were the best part as well as the fantastic service. Feel as though we've missed out on something with the other reviews but we really wouldn't go back or recommend which is a shame.

A small place but intimate. The staff were very friendly and the service was good. The menu was mainly pizza/pasta but there are other options inc burgers. We both had the Pasta - Carbonara and Ragu (Bolognese) which were both very nice home-cooked fare. The prices were reasonable and I would go again.

The food was ok, nothing special but tasty, unfortunately the service wasn't great. We were there at 5:45 on a Friday night, a pretty quiet time, yet service was very slow. We weren't offered anything to drink until we had been at the table for fifteen minutes, then the drinks took another ten minutes to arrive. Eventually our food order was taken (after a lot of waiting), but at this point we were then informed that our first choices weren't actually on the menu that night - something we should have been told on arrival.Like I said, the food was ok, but unless the service improved a lot, we won't be going back.

While away for the weekend in London we decided to try here after reading the reviews - Wow the atmosphere was great, staff so lovely welcoming & friendly & the food is absolutely gorgeous....highly recommend & we'll be back.

Very well priced menu, and the food was amazing. The staff and service were all excellent, being very attentive and helpful without getting in the way of enjoying a nice meal.The restaurant is in a nice location but far enough from the busy areas nearby to keep it from being overcrowded, and so was nice for a quite meal out.Will definitely be visiting again.

Fat Lorenzo's is an absolutely delightful find. Genuine Italian owners, Italian staff and deliciously prepared and presented, authentic Italian food. I have now eaten here three times and have not been disappointed on any of my visits.The friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff warmly greet all customers without appearing to be over-familiar. I have had different choices on each occasion and without listing each plate, the quality and freshness of the ingredients is why I will continue to return. The Rib Eye Steak I had last night was a triumph, full of flavour, tender and cooked to perfection. The antipasto platter to start, superb. The Artisan beer selection is also worth a mention and I had an Amaro liqueur to finish which is made of Sicilian blood oranges. I had never heard of this but it is truly divine. I quite understand why the Fat Lorenzo's has so many positive reviews and I sincerely hope that others who try this little gem of a place enjoy the same experience I have had.

Colombian women who served us was the best part of this restaurant. Food was ok not the best was a little disappointed overall very bland.

This is a lovely place with a great atmosphere. The service was good and the staff made us feel welcome, developed a good rapport and gave good recommendations. The food was good value with some italian classics that shouldn't be missed-the calzone is huge!

Visited in January for my 30th birthday meal, when we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly waitress who seated us by a window. The menu is very good and lots of choice, however, we were advised that a couple of the items were not available (this was not specified to us until we had looked at the menu and chosen one of these items) None the less, we ordered different items. The lasagne was very tasty and would recommend and my partner had a 'badda Bing' burger which also looked very good. Drinks were reasonably priced and the waitresses were very attentive and friendly. I Would have scored the restaurant a full 5 had they had all our food choices available (it was an early Friday evening so feel you should expect to have all choices available to you) and the fact that there was quite a rowdy table behind us which, although is not the restaurants fault, did detract slightly from the overall experience.

I cant praise Fat Lorenzo's enough for their support, service and hospitality! We met the lovely owners who made organising our wedding reception on the 28th Nov 2015 a breeze! The higher rate is affordable and they had different menu options with recommendations and our food choices. They were also extremely accommodating in fashioning specific meals for people with eating issues at no additional cost. The owners and staff were amazing, professional, friendly and like family! All our guests had nothing but praise about the venue, food and staff! The venue was also beautifully decorated on the day and my husband and I plan to make a visit very soon, we will never forget our special night! Well cooked simple food and amazing cocktails.I had the Pollo Milanese which was delicious. I opted for a bloody Mary which was perfectly mixed and my friends had some gelatin cocktails which went down well.Nice atmosphere, good service and lovely food.

Popped in for a Friday night meal whilst in London. Found the restaurant from Google. It's high rating on trip advisor is spot on. It's a small intimate restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere. The food was excellent and very authentic. The fish and prawns were exceptionally fresh. What makes this place though, are the staff. They are extremely friendly and so happy. It really makes a change from other restaurants. They made you feel like you were all one big family. It's a fabulous little place and one you should definitely try. We will return for sure.

Needed somewhere in the Euston area to take my daughter for dinner. Was looking forward to this based on previous reviews, but it didnt hit the heights that others have found. Food was good (garlic bread excellent, tomato sauce for the pasta, lacked a little punch). The two wines by the glass I had were both excellent and very good value. But why would you serve pasta in cold bowls? And when you are serving two at one table, delivering main courses more than 5 minutes apart isnt really acceptable. Happy to go again if in the area, but not worth a special trip.

My wife and I had a meal for two on a Saturday night here at fat lorenzos. Good atmosphere with staff very welcoming and attentive.Food was first class the minestrone soup excellent , for main had sirloin staff in tomato source which was superb. Wine likewise good quality.Got talking to other people in the restaurant reflecting the informal good atmosphere.Excellent value and have no hesitation to recommend.Mark

This is an OK Italian restaurant. The reviews were quite good so I was a bit surprised that they didn't recognise my reservation and wanted us to come back half an hour after the reservation time because the waitress had't turned up. The waitress did actually turn up soon after and the food was nice, but unremarkable. We had pizza and a burrito type rolled pizza which was tasty. Service was fine. Music was a bit loud. As a vegetarian there were hardly any options which is unusual these days and in an Italian restaurant. The coffee was excellent - strong and tasty.

Had a business lunch for 2 this week. Chose because of location and of course previous trip advisor reviews. Service was super friendly without being intrusive. Both had calamari and whitebait starter which was generous in size and should have shared one.Both had the penned with king prawns. Beautiful sauce and perfect choice. Good home cooked food, service with a smile and good value. Will be back.

At very short notice, Fat Lorenzo's was able to accommodate our party of 8. We were all very pleased with our choices from the eclectic menu washed down with a truly brilliant primitivo that I would happily have paid twice the price for.The atmosphere was warm and friendly the highlight being the impromptu renditions of Italian songs by one of the waiters - he really should have been at Covent Garden!

Fat Lorenzo's is a real treasure! Family-owned and run, this restaurant does it all right. Incredibly welcoming owners and staff made our time there an experience that far exceeded our expectations. By far, our favorite dining experience in London. (Do ask about the monkey!)

Food was brilliant and service was spot on. All 3 courses were tasty. Between the group we had a mixture of pastas and pizzas and there were no complaints (unusual for these guys). Lots of vegetarian options as you would expect from an Italian restaurant. Manager allowed us to try a couple of wine options before committing to one.Excellent service, we were well catered for and very likely to return soon. Ask about the monkey!

We were looking for a quick bite to eat after arriving in London by train. Fat Lorenzo's took our eye as it was close to our hotel but away from the mayhem of Oxford Street. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient despite there being a large table party enjoying themselves. Our food was authentic, freshly prepared and tasty - job done!

Efter varit på plats 5 min innan bokad tid så var stället fullt. Men vi meddela att vi kunde vänta på serveringen utanför, efter en liten stund kom en i personalen ut och bjöd på varsitt glas prosecco. Även utan den fina gesten så var det värt väntan då det var bra service, trevlig restaurang och god mat.Kommer gärna tillbaka igen och kan absolut inte förstå att restaurangen fått dåliga betyg av några gäster.

Had asked Fat Lorenzo's on the 20th of November if they could accommodate a leaving do, a week before Christmas for around 30 people, a big request at this time of year. They did it and did it with style. 30+ people arriving at various times, all fed and watered and with a brilliant atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble for this restaurant and the food was fantastic. I genuinely cannot recommend these guys highly enough, particularly David & Lisa and the rest of the team were brilliant. Thanks so much. I will definitely be back, as will everyone else I suspect.

We came for later dinner at the end of very long business day.The service we recived was fast and friendly.We ordered: bottle of Vino de la Casa, soup Minestrone soup - was excellent - hot, full and everything in right ratio.Ravioli speenach were served in tomato souce its strong tomato-basilicum taste masked the taste of cheese and speenach - personally, I preffer to feel the ravioli taste rather than tomato, but it is my personal taste. Bottom line - was good and tasty.Secong main dish was hamburger - was really good.Dessert (Vin Santo Served with Almond cookies ) and cafe were good.Bottom line - nice place with good food and pleasant amtosphere

With tasty pizzas and seafood linguine, fantastic espresso martinis, and most of all a genuinely friendly service, this is exactly the sort of restaurant that deserves to do well. The manager also gave us a complimentary almond and frangelico dessert cocktail that he was 'trying out'. It may not be Michelin star style dining, nor does it need to be, but this reasonably priced restaurant deserves its high Tripadvisor position amongst all London restaurants.

I went to Fat Lorenzo's tonight through a very pleasant mistake - to get out of the pouring London rain and BOY what a nice surprise. I LOVE artisan beers and they have a selection of Collesi beers recently introduced to the UK. The NERA stout is to die for.....and the food is outstanding. David the owner pours the beer very well. What more can I say...go there!!! - I will certainly go again!!

Fat Lorenzo's came up on my Google search and I was impressed with the reviews and ratings it had received, so thought I'd give it a go. I wasn't disappointed. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and their Expresso Martinis are amazing!!

The staff here are amazing... Lorenzo(?) serenaded us multiple times and was super friendly and helpful. I was a tad disappointed by my pasta, but my boyfriend loved his burger. We will return for the notorious pizza because we just loved the vibe.

I' ve been here yesterday for lunch. On overall I really enjoy it, the food was superb, we had a board of salami and cheese as starter and seafood risotto as main, both dishes with large portion and fantastic food. The best things nonetheless was the service, Alessandra and Mercedes really take care of us, being professional in a friendly manner and always smiling. I will definitely recommend this place.

Fat Lorenzo's cook delicious, healthy meals for my son at a local school. I wanted to say how wonderful and amazing all of their staff are, for their kindness and good humour. They have put up with me and my last-minute calls, and because they know the children, they go the extra mile, providing the best quality food - so much better than I could pack each morning!Thanks to everyone at Fat Lorenzo's - me and my son are really grateful!

We had no idea we were walking in this popular restaurant. We were staying in a near by hotel and saw this small Italian restaurant and wandered in. We had a very friendly welcome. I had the mixed seafood pasta and my husband had calzone. It took very short time for the food to arrive, which I can appreciate. And it was delicious. The owner was showing a little guy some party tricks and when we showed interest, he came over to us. It is a happy restaurant well worth the visit.

In London for a birthday treat and this was our first port of call. We had read the reviews and I'm pleased to report we were not disappointed. The food was brilliant, the atmosphere wonderful and to top it off the waiter has a fantastic singing voice. The special pudding for the birthday boy of 18 was inspired!

I have been twice and can only endorse what everyone has already said. Fab food and staff. My friend's (72nd) birthday was made memorable by the whole team and she was thrilled by the singing. I can only show my appreciation by coming back for a third time this week-end and recommending you to all my friends. I've also advised a couple of restaurant owners to visit and see how to make their customers happy.

Awfully good! is what I mean. I wanted to give this restaurant just 1 star as I find that it is human nature to look at the negative & then write this review but I just couldn't & had to give it top marks as it would be detrimental to their place on TripAdvisor. We booked this restaurant as we were visiting London for yhe weekend & fancied an Italian for our first night so looking through TripAdvisor for the best ones we saw this & reserved our table for Friday 27th. A fantastic welcome awaited us & a singing waiter who is basically as mad as a box of frogs just added to the experience. We both love Italian food & visit Italy regularly & must say the food here was excellent with fresh ingredients & probably the largest bowl of olives we've had as a side/starter. I must admit that I found the menu very well priced & not overly expensive for London. Great attentive but not intrusive service as well & will definitely return next time we're in London. In all a fantastic place & totally deserved of their top 50 rating in London.

Firstly, I would strongly suggest booking if you want to eat at Fat Lorenzo's.....it is a remarkably busy little germ of a place. In the entire time we were there, as tables were emptying they were being filled again. A reflection of how popular and awesome this place is. My partner and I traveled up to London from Southampton for an over-nighter and had decided to give this place a try based on the great reviews it had been receiving. I booked on the Wednesday for the Saturday using some online table booking facility.....I think it was Quandoo or something like that. I have read that some people had experienced problems using this service but we certainly had a table set aside when we arrived. This is a very lively and happy place and the whole evening is like a big social gathering. The waitress, the waiter (who has an amazing voice) the owner behind the bar and the guys doing the cooking all make you feel so very welcome. The food is traditional Italian and tastes amazing. The calzone is massive, pizza's all hand made and the fried whitebait starters are in a very light batter....to die for. Had several amazing cocktails made from limoncello, asti (I think), lemon sorbet and mint followed by several shots of straight limoncello. If I had to make one criticsm, it would be that the limoncello is best served in an icy chilled shot glass. But hey....that's nit picking. All in all I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed if you book an evening in Fat Lorenzo's. You will feel happy, welcomed and almost like you are part of the family. It is small, cosy and intimate. Be prepared to be serenaded to and be prepared to have your taste buds seduced. Thank you team for a making my partners and I evening so much fun. I wish there were more places around like it. We will certainly be back.....soon I hope.

I went to Fat Lorenzo's with my friends and this was because we went to an event and I heard that Fat Lorenzo's is the place to visit as this was very near. I agreed with my friends and went there. The service was more poor than I expected it would be but it could have been worse because the service was slow. The food was also a bit overrated according to the latest reviewers because I had to wait so long but the drinks did arrive on time. The scenery was too basic meaning there was nothing unique about Fat Lorenzo's. It's just like every other Italian restaurant in the UK.

Booked table for Thursday through quandoo did not receive email confirmation so rang and booked over the phone. A birthday treat for my wife and a £20 taxi ride across London turned up to a full restaurant and no booking for us.Don't know what the food or service is like but suggest you double check your bookingTo avoid a very disappointing birthday treat

I have been here a couple of times recently. Was last here a couple of weeks go and again I received fantastic service. When you are on your own it is sometimes difficult to find somewhere that you feel comfortavle. Well here is the place to find that. A very warm friendly atmosphere awaits you. The staff are just lovely they give you so much time and and the food is fabulous. And thet do a fab Cosmoplitan.

My partner & i came to this restaurant on Friday night,well what can i say,we had such an amazing night from start to finish!From the moment we walked through door we were given a very warm welcome,this place has such a great atmosphere and good vibe about it ,but feels intimate and cosy at the same time,Franco the singing waiter( which i must say has an incredible singing voice) was very attentive with some good banter,which did give us the giggles,the food at this place is in a league of its own,so many dishes to choose from,and so delicious,we have eaten in many Italian restaurants in London but this is the Best!! big compliments to the chefs who work very hard in delivering such wonderful food to the table,we cannot wait to return to this little gem of a place,thank you to you all for a wonderful ( not rushed ) dinning experience,keep up the good work!! :-)

We visited London for our grandson's wedding and the reception was booked at Fat Lorenzo's. The food was terrific; (the wine also!) and the occasion made even more enjoyable by the friendly, attentive staff.

i have come to the restaurant on 3 different occasions and have had a delightful evening on all three, start with a beautiful pizza and a couple of drinks from the bar followed by some beautiful opera from the waitor. really is a fantastic place to eat, welcoming and cosy, recommend anyone who likes to have the Italian feel to eat there you wont regret it ! pricing is decent and the food is unbelieveable.

From the moment my Mum and I walked through the doors, in search for a free table on a busy Saturday night, after a long day shopping we instantly felt welcomed. We were greeted by Alessandra with a warm cheery smile on a freezing cold evening and she quickly arranged a table for us. Really impressed with the level of service and friendliness we were shown. We had a lovely evening of great food, wine and company. At no point were you made to feel rushed, you were able to sit back and savour the warm atmosphere. We had great conversations and laughter with our waitress,Alessandra, about our weekend plans, the restaurant, Italy, life etc and it was clear that this is a key principle of what the restaurant is about. Both the Owner Franco and the Waitresses were interacting with all the diners, there was a mixture of conversations, jokes and laughter in the background to accompany the great food!!! Thank you all at Fat Lorenzos for a great time.That night we came across Fat Lorenzo's by Chance but we will definitely be going back very soon by Choice!!!! xx

We came here after reading the fab reviews! Was a busy Saturday night but it was like being welcomed by family! Atmosphere was brilliant and Franco ( introduced himself to all customers ) goes round laughing, joking and singing to customers! It's not a huge restaurant but you feel comfortable and at ease. Food was fantastic and the service is outstanding! We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Well done!

We just stumbled on this small Italian restaurant and thank god we did! Good food and great service. Now we know were you are so next time in London we will be back for sure.

I would agree that "poor service" reviewer a bit further down must have been in a different restaurant! This place is excellent. When I called to make the reservation I was greeted cheerily and, unlike so many other restaurants in London, it was a pleasant surprise NOT to be told what time we needed to vacate the table by before arrival! On arrival, Franco (introduced later) was singing happy birthday very operatically to some other guests. Service was great as was the food. Very authentic Italian recipes and the pizza (in fact everything) was tremendous. Franco came over and introduced himself and my wife and I spent some considerable time talking to him about his love of music. We were asking about the pictures on the wall, which turned out to be of the owners family; he also came to talk to us for a good 30 minutes about how he came to be running a restaurant in London - a fascinating journey for his family - London via the USA.We left 3 hours later having had a great meal, great drinks, tremendous service and having made some new friends. You can't really ask for more from a night out and i'd wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good Italian meal in a casual atmosphere. Well done guys, we'll see you next time we're in town.

It was dinner for four friends and we wanted to catch up with each other with good food and wine...and boy did it meet all requirements. The meal was delicious from start to finish, antipasti, beers, risotto, burgers and desserts were spot on. The staff we thoughtful and very attentive and didn't hurry us even though we were the last to leave... we even got a lesson in mushroom picking! Bravo! We'll be back.

I went back last night to Lorenzo's. It is good with nice pasta, wine and of course music. The venue is quite open on a corner location which is very homely but a part from that it is pleasant. A bit prices though - bowl of pasta and a pint of Peroni £20.

I went to Fat Lorenzo's on Saturday the 14th November and I have to say the service was terrible. One member of staff especially had a real attitude towards me and my family which included 3 Kids. The Food however was slightly overpriced but overall was of high quality and very enjoyable. If the staff made my visit more pleasant I would of happily returned however there attitude and temper was not acceptable and has put me of Italian restaurants for a while.

This was rated very highly on tripadvisor and as I love Italian food thought it was worth a try. It is a 5 minute walk from Great Portland Street Station, it is nicely tucked away in a side street but on first impressions looks very smart. I booked a table for 6pm but it was empty when I arrived for an anniversary meal with my girlfriend. The waitresses were friendly and seated us near the open plan kitchen area. We were told of the specials for the night and left to decide what we wanted. What I really liked was she waited just behind our table but not close enough to feel like she was waiting but near enough so when we decided what we wanted we could order straight away as oppose to having to get her attention. Food was very quick but when it arrived it was hot and tasted great and fresh with large portions. I had a pizza role with pulled pork and bbq sauce whilst my partner had a nice pizza. I also noticed another customer had a calzone which looked huge but tasty. Overall very happy with the meal, reasonably priced, fresh ingredients, quick and friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere, had it of been busy it may of been very different but I have no complaints and would not hesitate to go again to try some more tasty food.

Where do you start. everyone already said it ,the food is superb and the tiramisu unbelievable.but what sets this place way above other restaurants Franco his service and banter with customers is great and if that is not enough his singing voice is incredible.he knew every song we requested and they were not the usual type of request.if you could bottle this atmosphere and sell it you 'd make a fortune.keep up the good work Franco your'e a starso thanks from 4 northern lasses

This small restaurant has a great atmosphere. The personnel is absolutely fabulous, nice, welcoming, funny, helpful. The food is very nice, as the home-made ice-creams. They also have a selection of nice sorbet-based cocktails, and all of this at a very reasonable price. What's not to like?
