I want to be fair, although I was not impressed with my food I think it was because I ordered chicken and not a beef burger, after all it is the GBK. However, my chicken burger was just nothing special, actually the similar one from Burger King is tastier.

Visited on 19/10 and had three perfectly cooked burgers and fries.We tried chunky chips thins and sweet potato and all good.Hot dig ity burger was perfect and my daughter loved the veggieburger and she takes some pleasing.Came to @ £48 for 3 people including gin and tonic and pint of San Miguel.Service was efficient and we enjoyed our visit and would recommend.

El problema es que el término “gourmet” puede despertar muchas expectativas y el resultado final puede quedar por debajo de éstas. Es evidente que la calidad de las que ofrece este restaurante supera la de las que elaboran las amburgueserías convencionales, pero tal vez deberían esforzarse un poco más por conseguir el nivel que haría sus productos claramente diferentes, al que da la impresión de que han renunciado. Mejorable, pues, aunque con una calidad aceptable.

GBK is definitely the best of the burger chains I've tried recently in central London. The burgers and everything else are really good, and they make a serious effort to cater for gluten-free people which is a major plus for me, especially as some of the other British chains and none of the big international chains bother in the UK, which is shameful. This is a good branch of GBK with plenty of seating. The staff are really helpful and pleasant too and prices reasonable for what is a good, filling meal. The beefburgers are good as are their gluten-free buns. Their chunky chips are really excellent - the best I've had in ages, but bear in mind they are not guaranteed gluten-free. Their homeslaw of red and white cabbage with pomegranate and a light vinaigrette dressing is delicious - crisp and refreshing and, obviously, very low in fat compared with a lot of coleslaws. This is a really good burger restaurant and I'll go again.

Hay mejores hamburguesas en Londres (Byron o Five Guys por ejemplo), pero no estan mal para salir del paso. Muchas opciones (tanto para veganos)

Vi fik 2 jordbærmilkshake og 2 små burgere til aftensmad uden pommes da de skulle bestilles ved siden af. Godt vi ikke var ved at dø af sult. Små portioner til overpriser. Dog havde de nogle gode milkshakes til rimelige priser.

Il posto è carino e sicuramente vicino alla vitale Soho, gli hamburger sono buoni sia come qualità che come sapore, il servizio al tavolo è quasi inesistente visto che le ordinazioni le chiedi al bancone e te lo portano solo (c'è da dire che non fanno pagare il servizio al tavolo quantomeno). Sia mangiare che il servizio sono molto veloci quindi per una cena rapida è sicuramente consigliato, mentre se volete sedervi e godervi la cena meglio altri posti. Sfortuna ha voluto che fossi nel posto vicino alla vetrata che era piena di spifferi ma il resto del locale è ok a parte quei due singoli posti

A friend and I decided to visit GBK before an evening at the theatre. The Firth Street venue was bustling, despite it being just 5pm. I'd got a "2 for £12" offer on my GBK app (make sure you download it before you go!), so we knew we'd get a few pounds knocked off the bill. I'm seasoned visitor to GBK restaurants and I'll usually head to one if there's one nearby (as there aren't any anywhere near where I live). I asked for the gluten-free menu whilst my friend looked at the normal menu. The great thing about GBK is they are very open to menu items being swapped and changed around. I went with a gluten-free chargrilled chicken, a side of homeslaw and a strawberry & elderflower fizz, whilst my friend decided on a bunless chargrilled chicken (with corn-on-the-cob & homeslaw), a side of sweet potato fries & baconnaise and a pot of tea. The drinks arrived fairly quickly (and at the same time), but unfortunately my food arrived a good 5 minutes before my friend's, and I had to tuck in before her's arrived otherwise it would have gone cold. There was no apology or explanation for the food arriving at different times, which is unusual for the usually ever-helpful GBK staff. However, the food was hot and delicious and my friend enjoyed her very first GBK experience, despite having to watch me eat whilst she waited for her food. She also managed to get around 3 cups from the pot of tea, so her drink was well worth its price. It's not the first time I've been to this GBK restaurant and I'm sure it won't be the last.

Needed a filling meal full of comfort food. This the place. Can't go wrong. Great choice and service is quick. Not one for the 5 a day, but great simple food!

Great burgers here and good value but nothing special to distinguish GBK from any of the other great burger chains. They really do shoehorn you into the restaurant but you come to expect this really in Central London. The girl who took our order at the till had a massive attitude problem but we didn't let this put us off we just felt a bit sorry for her; she clearly wasn't having a good day.

Burgers were ok but fries were greasy and over cooked. It felt like they wanted people out as quick as possible...nothing special.

Needed a quick dinner and a burger is not normally my first choice. Anyway we dropped into the GBK in Soho and thoroughly enjoyed my burger - it was succilent and not greasy at all

Booked this because it is very close to the Palace Theatre and needed a quick meal between Part One and Two of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. However, I wouldn't have eaten here as a walk-in, it's very small and felt a bit grubby....

Visited this restaurant on a busy Wednesday evening, found a table for one easily and placed order within minutes of arriving. Had some difficulty understanding staff as English is not her first language, but we got there in the end. Food arrived within 15 minutes and was cooked perfectly. Fries with freshly prepared and came with accompanying dip as requested. Alcoholic Ginger beer was also served with rice which made a refreshing accompaniment to the mail. Despite the busyness of the restaurant, the staff were attentive and tables were cleared quickly once people have finished eating. All in all a very satisfactory experience. Would come again.

I found the burgers delicious, the meat was done as it was supposed to be. I found the staff a bit unfriendly though.

When hungry at night, you don't really want to take risks. You don't at GBK. Wasn't our first time, but I can see how someone is unsure and gets something that's just too experimental (beetroot ;-) for them.

If a delicious burger is what youre looking for. Look no further. This restaurant has the most tasty burgers. Great selection of veggie burgers too. Nice interior. Easy ordering sytem and frienldy staff. What more could you want?

We came here towards the end of January, having booked in advance we told this to the waiter who seemed surprised we had done so and escorted us to our table. The downside, and for this one reason I cannot give it the full 5 is because we were sat in a table cramped in a corner and we had to squeeze our way through 3 other parties. My boyfriend is rather slim and even he found it a little uncomfortable to get to our table. Same issue came when we had to go up and order. Besides this the food was to perfection and the portion was more than generous, we couldn't even finish it. Had we not been heading to the theatre straight from there we would've probably asked to take it home with us. The service was also very good and staff were very attentive. At a couple of points hard to catch but what can you expect at a full restaurant on a Saturday night in Soho, more than understandable and we're able to assist first chance they could. The only issue was the space. I've been to a few others in London and this was the more badly distributed by far but I do still recommend its worth a visit.

I've been to a few GBK's which were all fine, but this was terrible and in another league. I had a burger with no bun, the burger was a tasteless pile of something soggy on my plate, my daughter's veggie one was equally disgusting and simply tasted of garlic. All around us people were complaining about their food, cold, undercooked, not what was ordered, not even cooked. No apologies. I won't be ever going to a GBK after that experience.

Its a mix between a fastfood and a served restaurant. Good atention but you need to make your order in the bar. Anyway the burguers are really perfect and quinoa's salad taste fantastic. I just know that there are more gourmet burguer kitche in London. A good way to eat!!!

Having ordered at the till my partner and I were really looking forward to our burgers arriving. There was a table next to ours and the rather unwashed looking waitress named Anna mistakenly gave our food to the table of men next to us. We watched the guys finger the food and eat a few fries before Anna realised she had taken the food to the wrong table. She then went and grabbed the plates and without even a word of apology, put the plates down on our table and walked off. We called her back to say we weren't going to eat the food that had been touched by those on the other table. She huffed and rolled her eyes as she scooped up the plates and took them to the kitchen. We waited for another 20 minutes for our burgers to arrive! Anna without a word or even a smile, plonked the plates on the table and went to walk away. My partner's fries were missing from the plate so he called her back. This time we told her that the service was very bad. She then tells us that they close at 11pm (it was only 10:30pm) and that the staff had worked a long shift and everyone was too tired. We couldn't believe her lame excuse for being incompetent and rude. Does she not realise that we also worked a very long day too? I would never be able to get away with being bad at my job or rude at work becasue I was too tired. There was still 30 minutes until closing and we arrived at 9:30pm but because she had messed up the order we had to wait even longer before the food arrived. Not our fault and certainly not an excuse that warrants shoddy, rude service. As we were about to leave another member of staff tried to offer us a complimentary lunchtime burger as an apology. The problem is the staff were quite young and clearly too "cool" to work in a burger joint. None of them knew how to adequately deal with the situation. They lacked people skills yet why are they being hired to work in hospitality? We were so disappointed by our experience we declined the complimentary offer. Given the amount of competition there is in Soho for Burgers I would highly recommend going to Honest Burgers, Byron Burgers or Lobster & Burgers and give Gourmet Burger Kitchen ( GBK ) a miss! First time visiting a Gourmet Burger Kitchen and went as a group of 11 for a Christmas party.Service - 2 - We had to order individually at the bar and received our burgers at different times, one or two of the staff members looked deeply unhappy to be at work. Noticed some Christmas offers after ordering, would have been nice if these were pointed out by the staff.Food - 4 - Wide range of different burgers available and the quality is very good. Sweet Potato fries were extremely good. Value - 4 - Fair prices.Overall - 3 - I would eat at a Gourmet Burger Kitchen again, but I wouldn't rush to this particular restaurant.

Arrived to a practically empty restaurant as we were quite early for lunch, we were welcomed and seated by friendly staff, they remained friendly but the service was very poor. Unfortunately when ordering food my burger wasn't added, luckily we spotted it as soon as we got back to the table. The milk shake was made but not brought to our table for quite some time as there was a new person being shown how to work the toll, eventually drinks arrived. We had ordered a few bites to start but we had to remind them they came with dips. The first burger arrived before we had finished these, my burger however didn't follow for quite some time and only then after I had asked where it was. We also asked for mayo as unlike the GBK at bluewater this wasn't a help yourself to mayo place, this too took ages to come as her colleague had forgotten! We can all make mistakes but I think this was a few too many and certainly spoilt our visit here.

We popped in here at 11:30 am on a Sunday for a lunch before the theatre and it was great. Andrew (Pepp) was ( our server) was welcoming, even though we were the first in and really helpful. The food was excellent. We ordered the cheese burger and California burger, with skin on fries. Easily the tastiest burger we have eaten for ages! Quando si va a Londra un giro per Soho è presente in ogni itinerario che si rispetti. Se siete saturi dagli odori tipici della cucina etnica quale giapponese, cinese, thailandese, indiana ecc... Questo è il posto che fa per voi. Personale simpaticissimo e cortese e hamburger di ottima qualità. I prezzi sono negli standard londinesi quindi non pagherete i soliti 4/5 euro per un panino ma vi assicuro che ne varrà la pena. Consigliato

Ate here with friends. Whilst they decided what they wanted I opened the app on my phone and ordered at the table. It was brilliant. Even ordered a beer. They accept Amex too. Ordering at the table appears to be limited to a select number of branches currently. I'm sure it will increase. The Habanero Burger was lovely. I upgraded the patty to aged beef and requested medium rare. Skinny fries are too skinny and a bit annoying to eat as they crunch without the enjoyment of a soft potato inside. I agree with some of the other reviews about the seating layout. Quite haphazard and lacks atmosphere. However, food is still what you'd expect from GBK, and a good choice for a quick burger bite.

Visited GBK soho on Saturday for a pre show meal as it was conveniently close to the theatre. This is not our first visit to a GBK and to be honest the food was ok, at least on par with other GBK's. The service wasn't too bad, a little slow considering it wasn't that busy. The restaurant itself however was very tired looking making it feel dirty. Moreover it was a hot day and there was a terrible bin smell wafting through the restaurant which was pretty off putting!!

Leuk concept, kies een bestaande variant of stel je eigen burger samen. We namen de Buffalo burgers. Extra's zijn dan toch duur (fries, saus en biertjes), maar zeker lekker voor een keer. Niet echt gezellig zitten overigens.

We are wacking in Frith Street ,,we went in Gourment Burger Kitchen we are four we orderd four defferant kind burger all bourger guice and tasty,,,,,,,

It had a welcoming environment, a friendly member of staff showed us a table straight away. Menu had a wide choice and reasonably priced. Food was delicious and the side orders generous.HOWEVER...a few hours later I started to feel queazy as if I was going to be sick. Fortunately I was not but the other end of my body decided it was time to remove the previously digested food over and over again.Considering my Bah Burger was the only thing I had eaten that day its not hard to guess what caused my malaise . I spent most the evening with a stomach ache and that sick feeling,its only now over twenty four hours later that I am beginning to feel much better. I was close to taking the day off work today but no work no pay so off I went.When I came back my girlfriend said she too suffered nausea all day and had been unable to eat anything.We both had different burgers so there must have been cross contamination in the kitchen. The irony is that we were all supposed to eat at Norman's in the Coach and Horses that day but it had been closed down due to mice infestation. So thinking we had dodged a bullet there we went to Gourmet Burger Kitchen instead ! Nice staff nice ambiance but we will never eat there again.

Shown to a table and that was it, we were completely ignored, no menu, no drinks and no cutlery even though other tables adjacent to ours were served. Completely indifferent attitude as we departed. Deprived of what could've been the best burger I've never eaten, deprived of what appeared to be a good selection of beer on the counter. Given there were queues to enter other restaurants there were empty tables in this one. We took our chance with another restaurant.

Just popped in for a quick meal and on opening their app found that this branch offers the "order at table" feature, so tried it out. Waited a few minutes then my drink arrived, followed a few minutes later by my meal. It works! Service was friendly and quite quick, and the chicken, camembert and cranberry burger was very good.

If you want a good burger & fries - this GBK is as good as any - quick service (order at desk) and nicely cooked burger.

Visited with my boyfriend for a quick meal when in London. I had the classic chicken burger (very nice) and he had the bacon avacado beef burger (he said it was lovely) and a salted caramel milkshake (yum!). Staff were lovely and service was fast. 25% student discount is even better!

It was just stand on stop for dinner.4 burgers - one chicken, one large and one small later we were disappointed continuing to the hotel...It wasn't just the food that was ok at most it was the horrible indifferent service of the manager in not a very packed place...it was the food that came in late...All in all I will never come back.

Popcorn was over priced considering the portion sizes. The milkshakes were average but they made up for this with large servings. The burgers were above average but better are available in the area AND are served with chips, unlike those served in GBK.

love the huge burgers... if you are a vegetarian billy the kid os worth trying. the sweet potato and rosemary fries are awesome! The giant glass of oreo milkshake is good. they provide free peanuts.

It was good but now we have Five Guys galore... Still, the service was good, the overall experience was pleasant.

Il locale è carino, il cibo che ho preso è stato ovviamente un hamburger squisito, perché si riescono ad percepire tutti i suoi sapori. L'unica pecca è che danno poche patatine, però per il resto può andare.

I have been to GBK many times. It is a very well known franchise. Serves good burgers, but is nothing expectional!Must try at least once

Nella cosmopolita Soho si trova questo locale seguito da un gruppo di ragazzi e ragazze molto gentili e simpatici. L'atmosfera ti mette subito a tuo agio e questo già ti fa passare una piacevole serata,se poi aggiungi una buonissima qualità di cibo,la serata si fa ottima! Enjoy ragazzi!

Outstanding burgers and delicious sides! Lunch menu at £5.95 is excellent value too. We tried a cheese burger, a chicken burger and the 'home slaw'.
