The food and downstairs area of the restaurant were genuinely lovely, and the atmosphere there was warm and welcoming. Most of the staff were super friendly and made us feel taken care of.
However, our experience at the bar was disappointing. A bartender named Melih was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He appeared to be drunk while working and serving which made us very uncomfortable especially when he began trying to get our number. His behavior was inappropriate and completely out of line.
We considered leaving because of how uneasy we felt, but we chose to stay thanks to the kindness and professionalism of the other staff members. It’s a shame one person’s behavior tainted over the whole experience.
Really lovely staff - attentive, friendly and professional. Food was amazing and was brought over really quickly. Have found my new favourite cocktail - strawberry and bergamot spritz. And dessert - heavenly (Sundae).
The best japchae I've ever had and I've had plenty.
The Korean fried chicken was really really good too, wish it was saucier! Stir fried udon was almost as good as the japchae and the chicken soup is a must-order!!!
Seems like you can't really go wrong here 😍 (only thing I'd say would be to order something other than the bibimbap, it was just average)
Be sure to make a booking and a little warning but the area is pretty cramped and small so if you're carrying loads of things that might be one thing to think about!

I really enjoyed my stay at St Athans! It is very conveniently located to major public transportation and it was a safe area. The room size was perfect for a solo traveler like me and the shared bathrooms were nice and clean. Thank you for a good stay!

Stopped by with my missy and we had a great time at this Starbucks. The cold drinks hit the spot — I had something like a Mango Dragonfruit Refresher with ice, and she went for an Iced Caramel Latte. Perfect combo!
Shoutout to the amazing staff — Aylin, Amanda, and Feuzi — who made the experience even better. Super friendly, we got along well, and they even made me laugh a few times. Only thing missing? A smoothie! No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t get one — maybe Starbucks can add that to their to-do list! 😄
Fun fact: the famous mermaid logo is inspired by mythical sirens who lure sailors, just like Starbucks aims to attract customers with their drinks. The name “Starbucks” comes from a character in Moby-Dick, adding a cool nautical touch.
This place really goes above and beyond to STEAL YOUR MONEY.
They took a deposit of £300, no service provided and will not issue my refund.
I had a private event booked, confirmed and deposit paid for 09/12/2023. The restaurant stopped replying to all emails and phone calls from a week beforehand. This resulted in going down in person to sort out any issues. Turns out there had been closed for a while, Elaine (owner) and Tanvir (no clue what his role is) did not bother to communicate anything and had I not shown up prior I would have been standing in the street with 20+ guests.
Did I mention they have stolen and refused to refund my £300 deposit??
Solía amar a Pilau.
Ojalá hubiéramos ido a otro lugar.
What a treat… stunning, decadent pastries and a delicious, rich flat white. Lovely helpful service and a wide range of both savoury and sweet pastry options.
