The Elysee in Camden

Organised a Team Summer Social evening (25 of us) at Elysée and as a Team we were not disappointed. The venue was great and we were well attended to, both on the roof terrace for pre-dinner drinks and by the restaurant staff. The meze food was excellent and plenty of it! A delicious mixture of Greek starters followed by lamb or chicken souvlaki with rice, Greek salad and chips then followed a desert platter. The staff were excellent with the fact that one of my Team has a severe nut allergy and they ensured no dishes served on the evening contained any nuts, this was much appreciated. We were entertained with live Greek music during dinner, followed by two singers, plate smashing and finally a belly dancer all thoroughly enjoyed and added to the atmosphere of the evening! They even allowed us some ABBA songs at the end of the evening to continue the party on the dancefloor. "Efharisto" from all my team at Vistry Group (we will be back)

Nice place for shisha & hangout

We were group of round 15 people. Our women friends (10 people) went there 10 min earlier than another 3 man friends. They didn’t ask any entrance fee for our women friends but they asked £20 for entrance only for man after we accessed to the place while we are settling down. I never have seen this kind of approach. I was trying to go to bathroom and ask for bathroom, the security was too rude and unprofessional. I couldn’t even understand what is going on. I never seen this kind of horrible experience in London. I feel like there was the biggest problem is I was a man.... we left the place immediately.

Unbelievable rude staff! Zero communication and they just force you to order something whenever you go into the place, they charge you for nothing and over prices everything! Dark atmosphere and service was terrible. Even 1 star is too much!

While our friends were not charged because they arrived before us, we were asked for an entrance fee because we arrived 20 minutes late. Moreover, when we had just entered, we were forced to place a menu and order before even taking off our coats. We have not come across a venue and staff with such poor service in London for a long time. I will not recommend this place to any of my friends again…

Honestly one of my favourite restaurants in London. Food, atmosphere, drinks, settings, service all 10/10. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Just got back from a two week holiday staying in Ixia. We visited Elysee a few times during our stay and were never disappointed, the food and service were exceptional. The menu is varied and has something for everyone from greek classics like mousaka to seafood and pizza / burgers. They also have a cute little bar area in the basement! Highly recommended.

Great night, fabolous atmosphere and amazing service, music was so good that we couldn't stop dancing, in to early hours!

One of the worst experience i've had - a real scam! We paid a deposit of £180 that was supposed to be taken off of our bill and was not - we had to call up the next day asking for a refund, otherwise they would have tried to get away with it. We booked a table upstairs and were told we can go downstairs to dance without any additional cost - when we went down we were told we had to pay an additional £20 per person.... even though we were already in the venue!!! They also tried to claim we had not paid for a bottle of champagne (even though we had) so we can pay for it twice. Really shocking service and place! Incredibly disappointing! Stay away!

Perfect dinner for a group of twelve in the Roof Garden, only starter and main course but both excellent - an environment that suited us perfectly.

The food isn’t great we had the set menu the starters were adequate the dolmades were tasteless the vine leaves were very chewy. The main meal wasn’t much better the quality of the meat was poor. I didn’t stay for dessert. They put alot of the tables very close to each other. Very expensive for what it is. I wont be going back.

Rude staff , rude manager , just dont go

We organised our association’s gathering at Elisée and I can say that the restaurant has lived up to its reputation. The venue is great and well attended to, the staff were brilliant and accommodating. The food excellent. We are ver grateful that everything was so well organised and we were able to experience a memorable night with our members.

Singers were great as was the belly dancer. Plate smashing was one plate if you can even get to the dance floor as too busy and full. Squashed in like sardines we couldn’t even get in and out around our table. The food was ok but the set menu was not worth the money. Wouldn’t go back again.

Great Night but very pricy. The food here is very tasty, we had the £70.00 set menu, wasn't quite worth £70.00 but was tasty. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The plate smashing at the end was fun and the belly dancer was good. Can't believe I spent £15.00 on a vodka and lemonade.

Food wasn’t great, service was worse and the staff were extremely rude. The dancers and atmosphere was the only positive. Wouldn’t go back if I was paid, awful restaurant.

The nicest place you could ever stop off at. These people made sure we got home. I couldn't recommend this place enough. They gave us bread and a place to stay while we waited. The bouncers were more than accustoming while we waited for our lift. 10/10.

Great atmosphere, tasty food and entertainment. The singers and dancers are amazing. The song repertoire is unlimited. It goes from Greek to Pop and even rock. It could get a but overcrowded at times as it's a small but very popular restaurant.

Loved the food & atmosphere but when we booked the lady we spoke to on the phone said we could eat at 7 and the plate smashing was at 8:30. When in fact we weren’t allowed in the restaurant till 8 and we had to leave before the plate smashing as it was actually at 10:30. But the upstairs area was beautiful & the cocktails & food was 10/10

Way too expensive, really bad quality food. The seating is way too cramped. I got elbowed twice on my head as I was literally sitting on other peoples tables

A terrible place. I would never go back there nor recommend to anyone! we were ripped off for disgusting meal and show that we couldn’t even see. We were sat right next to the door, freezing cold as people were keep opening and closing the door. We had 3 bears one glass of wine, meze’s (140 for 4 people? )2 of those vegetarians.. only 3 main course 1 of them vegetarian. And ended up paying £400. Rude managers and staff was included in our bill. They don’t even deserve 1 star! They came to the table 5 times and asked us to pay the bill as we were going to run away! Rude staff! Unbelievable.

Live music was superb and very good service

The staff is really unprofessional and rude. We were 8 people for xmas Eve and they informed us after we arrived that the menu js fixed 70£ per person. We said ok... They charged 142£ service costs and 80£ kouver. So 220£ for service and then they complaint that we didn't tip. Disappointing behaviour. The food is quite average and overpriced. The music was nice. That was the only thing that was good.

Best Greek restaurant, love the live music, the program and entertainment, everything is great, plate smashing and the live music. Been many times and would definitely go again. Working till very late. You’ll hear best of Greek music hits. This restaurant is the best for entertainment so many singers and belly dancers. The best Greek night show ever If you want real Greek music that’s the place. I highly recommend this

Overpriced - spent £150 on shisha and two drinks! Shisha was average and service was poor as well. Not sure how this is a viable business model... significantly charging customers is not sustainable long term.

Company Christams party, 17 people. I'd heard great things about Elysee and they weren't wrong. Everything was exceptional, the staff, the entertainment and the food. We were treated like royalty, nothing was too much trouble and the entire experience was brilliant! Do yourself a favour and go to Elysee, you won't regret it!

We were 8 people and ordered 4 bottles of wine and somehow paid almost £400. Service charge was over 40 quid. The waiters were full of attitude. A disgrace to Greek hospitality. The music was actually good.

The food here never disappoints. It’s a guaranteed good night out with great music and attentive service. Undoubtedly authentic Greek hospitality at its finest.

Always have such a good time at The Elysee. The food is good and the live entertainment is great. I celebrated my hen do here and they went above and beyond to make sure I had the perfect celebration, and they did not disappointment. It caters for everything, chilled drinks, quiet dinner or a party! Love it

Never go this place again we just had 2 cocktails 1 bottle beer 1 shot vodka,2 shisha and one bottle of wine and starter for 4 person they charged us £540 they robbed us I don’t recommend this place at all.roofgarden was very simple place food was ok but very expensive .check the menu when you get your bill

The food was good not great and the waiters were very attentive for a table of 10 people. Atmosphere was great and the portions of food really good! Unfortunately I would say the set menu is massively over priced. Along with an extra charge for music.

We went to The Elysee for a celebration dinner and the food was totally delicious. Two of my group had allergies and were looked after amazingly. The ambience, entertainment and friendly staff were top! Thank you for a lovely night. Will definitely go again.

Great night out I enjoyed it thoroughly, I highly recommend it for any special occasion, actually you do not need an excuse for a special occasion, go whenever you like and let your hair down and have fun. The food is delicious, very tasty, the live Greek music with singers and a belly dancer are great. The roof garden is like you are in a different restaurant the atmosphere is again great the difference is you do not have the live band. Overall you may choose to sit in the restaurant or the roof garden and either way you will enjoy your evening. What I liked about this place is that you may stay all evening under one roof.

Amazing night, one of the best nights for a special birthday with family and friends. If you want a place to celebrate, can't get better with a great atmosphere. Thanks to all at the Elysee for the best food, service and making our night really special.

What an exciting evening, the atmosphere was energetic, the music was great and the highlight for me was the ability to break plates. I learnt new fun ways to dance and smash things simultaneously, definitely a great experience.

£250 for a bottle of whisky??? It's not the same restaurant/taverna/bar or whatever u call it as before. Looks like as brothel with plenty of pros... Music changed from Turkish to Greek and jazz...

Prices are high then usual. The place is mostly for Greek / Arabic music lover in Separate rooms by the way. Overall had a good time...

I went there last night for a shisha and found the place to be empty. Normally it is busy and there is a great vibe. When I paid the bill, I realised that they had hiked up their prices by 55%. No wonder the place is empty. Where on earth do you think you can get-away with ripping your loyal customers from. The person who made that decision should be sacked.

They have increased the price of shisha by 55% and the staff don't know why the place is empty. Sorry, but I won't be coming back. I felt like I was robbed. £110 for a shihsa and 2 teas.

Amazing Greek food lots of options available from food to drink. Downstairs restaurant has that high end posh look about it. Go upstairs you have open outside feeling nice decor and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. They also have sheeha options available Definitely will be coming back here another time when next in London

Average food, below average service, high prices. We went for a business dinner, and found the service overall to be below what is expected in London, we thought the standard of the food was not worth the pricing, and overall we were a little bit disappointed with our visit, having had higher expectations. Personally, would not return and would have enjoyed a standard chain restaurant more.

Overpriced with no personal choice for menu!

Very overpriced and not worth it.

No longer the star of greek taverns in London, its just okay, food service and atmosphere. Singers do their best belting out anthems, but with a shisha roof top bar the whole place now days has a confused identity. People down stairs who want to sing dance and party, then those upstairs monging out smoking like chimneys and then everyone crossed in the middle.

Dishonest business!!! Been 3 times now in tot and every single time they will add something extra to your bill to what you ordered. First 2 times, I thought it’s careless mistake and when speak to them they will take it off but 3 times - this is ridiculious

Avoid this place. Only redeeming things were the rum old fashioned, and a pleasant ambiance. But the food was absolutely terrible, and the service even worse. Criminally overpriced as well.

I absolutely loved the vibes and entertainment. It was super fun, energetic and lively and I had a great time dancing and smashing plates. Everyone’s up and about dancing, throwing napkins, cheering and smashing plates it’s a total exciting vibe but let me explain why I dropped two stars. We entered and were given menus but we didn’t even get a chance to look at them our server just immediately told us we have a set menu do you want the three course or the two course so we didn’t even get a chance to look at the menu. I asked for a la carte and the server said no only set menu. PLS NOTE we were not in any way aware that the set menu would be forced upon us and we wouldn’t get to choose our own dishes from a la carte and the set menu is 60 pounds per person and we were a group of four so 240 pounds of a not so great set menu was just forced upon us without us knowing we were going to be forced to pay 60 per person without having our own choice. On top of that they have a cover charge of 10 pounds per person which basically brought the bill to 300 pounds just for four people. A total rip off. Only the entertainment was good nothing else about this restaurant was good

This is one of best shisha place in city yet this place staff are amazing by all means .. so sorry I can’t try new places as long as they keep doing this level of service and price.. don’t think I am exaggerating it is real

We really enjoyed our night out here recently. When we arrived, we decided to head to the terrace for a pre-dinner drink, it was a nice sunny spot, but there were quite a few groups who had been there quite some time and too much shisha smoke for us, so we headed back downstairs. We were seated at a table right by the small dance floor, the band soon came out. I am no expert on traditional Greek music, but they seemed to be of a high quality, especially the bouzouki player. The entertainment throughout the evening was of a good quality. As well as the Greek band, There were 3 different singers, two of which were Greek and one singing well known english language songs, and a dancer. And of course the plate smashing. There was a huge selection of starters, most of which were good. The main course was equally massive, nicely grilled souvlaki. The drinks were very expensive though. The staff I thought were excellent, very attentive and helpful. It must be a challenging job for them to keep a track of what was going on, as the evening progressed, it became more chaotic (but in a good way). So they clearly need to watch things carefully. Our bill was exactly what we had. Given the type of evening out this is, I expect it can vary from night to night depending on the clientele, and what kind of large groups are in. There were a couple of large groups in this evening, both behaving well, and overall it was a good night.

Overpriced very average at best food , waiters are intimidating, hovering around waiting for you to finish, the whole premise is to get you out as soon as possible, would not return, the live music was good though for which I says premium is charged but very disappointing overall

Took my father whos greek here tonight for his 80th birthday. Greeted at the door, 1st class service. They Suprised my father wirh birthday song candle and cake. Music was excellent. A great outdoor space in the centre of London. Excellent food and drinks menu and a great ambiance to spend a warm summers evening.

For a great Greek night out with wonderful never ending live entertainment the Elysee is hard to better. From the moment we arrive to the time we left we were looked after very well. We will be back in the near future

The worst service I have encountered till date. Waited 35 minutes to place my order and then another 30 minutes for the shisha to arrive. Glasses arrived but the drinks did not arrive. The baklava was extremely hard to the point I could not even break it with me teeth. The service was absolutely awful - wasted over an hour just sitting around waiting for drinks that did not arrive. Shisha was the worst - felt like I was smoking coal instead of peach. Had a couple puffs and that LITERALLY caused me to become really unwell. Don’t recommend at all. The prices do NOT Match the service.

Good place , amazing food &drinks the terrace upstairs is really nice on a hot summer day , and downstairs the live music was a lot of fun . I bought my friend first time she really enjoyed many thanks

Food was cold and all frozen. Had the meze which was extremely expensive and I would t call it meze. The entertainment is very old school very 90s. I am baise as i am Greek and I know what Greek food taste like. I wouldn’t...

The opposite of authentic. We were charged nearly £400 for a mediocre Turkish monis all the benefits. Even the simplest asks were ignored... “Can we have a garlic mayo dip” They came out with a plate of not being ketchup. Chillli sauce was out of a bottle. £30 for 3 cutlets, and the raw starter tasted and stank of ammonia. Absolute disgrace, you are better off with your local kebab shop.

Great food, great service, great music.

Fabulous evening. The staff made us feel so special. It was my sons 25th birthday and they went out of their way to make him and our party of six feel special. The food is outstanding. I will definitely return but this time during the day when I can enjoy the delicious food as in the the evening the fun entertainment distracts you from the lovely food. See you soon.

Excellent food, service and show

I came here twice. The service is great. Very friendly staff and good service. The food is good quality and good size portion. I decided to have my birthday here and I was so happy. The cocktails are really tasty. I had Musaka which it was amazing 😻 My friend had Kebab (diced lamb) which it was great. The toilet is clean too.

It used to be one of my favourite greek restaurants in London, sadly last night we had the worst dinning out experience ever. Customer service was so poor, that we were made to feel like the uninvited guests at a wedding. 3 of us had a table next to the bar, a very narrow part of the restaurant, opposite a table of 4 other guests, sitting back to back to each other. This was also the way in and out of the restaurant with people including waiters having no other way to move around, pushing my chair as they walked through every minute. The waiters were polite and friendly, but the manager; a guy that spent his time checking his phone and than walking to the main restaurant between his phone breaks, like a police officer, was so rude and unprofessional- shocking. Over all: overpriced, not what it’s meant to be and terribly disappointing. Never again!
