Delicious seafood pasta dish and local Greek wines! Cosy ambience, lovely staff, perfect date night venue! Is expensive but worth it.. Would definitely recommend!

I was fortunately able to visit this gem of a place with some friends for an evening meal. It's a small place (although I hear there is a downstairs too which I didn't see) so it feels rather cramped, and getting to all our seats at the table was a little struggle. I loved the decor and ambience of this place. The smell as I was in was amazing. The food was top notch. I loved every bit of what I ordered (the mushroom tower was especially good). I would certainly recommend a visit if you like greek food.

I absolutely love this place. I am a great fan of Greek cuisine (who isn't), and I go there just to get away from the work stress. They're always amazing and have fantastic food. It's a bit tempting to be surrounded by all the Greek cookies and pastries (they sell brought straight from Thessaloniki).

This is a very pretty restaurant in a lovely street. We came for a dinner on Mother's Day on the back of a friend's recommendation, but in all honesty the evening was a slight disappointment. The restaurant was very quiet, even though it was quite early when we arrived (6:15), so there wasn't a great deal of atmosphere. The food was quite good, although several options on the menu weren't actually available. The service was adequate, but not terrific. We had to wait a while for food and for reasons that are beyond me, the kitchen seemed to close at 7:30, which means anyone coming for a slightly later dinner would have been disappointed. In all, the dinner experience was a perfectly respectable one but didn't live up to expectations.

The place exudes a tight-knit, homey atmosphere, an absolute perfection. Although the gamilafo appeared bland, it was surprisingly mind-blowing, coupled with a fascinating history lesson about its traditional presence at weddings. The lamb was exquisitely tender and expertly cooked. The prawns surpassed all expectations, the best I've ever had. However, the sauce could benefit from more prawns and a side of proper bread; it had a reminiscent taste of soda bread.

This place is amazing. We called up around 5pm on a Wednesday to see if they could fit 14 of us that night, which then grew to 18! They even allowed us to split the bill at the end (we were meeting after a work conference and some people had travelled very far and so were able to claim back meals, if they had receipts). They were very accommodating and took our large party in their stride. The service was phenomenal, so friendly and relaxed. They asked if 1 person could be in charge of getting everyone elses food orders, so we got out a pen and paper and passed that around. We were in the downstairs room so it was a bit cozy but nice to have a private area to ourselves. The food was amazing, I got the lamb and lemon risotto and it was heavenly. Everyone seemed to really enjoy their meals too. They have a very good drink list and I thought everything was reasonable for the quality and being in central London. Highly recommend.

Wonderful, delicious food in a lovely relaxed atmosphere! A great choice for work lunch - we all said we wanted to eat here every day, and there were plenty of options for vegetarian, vegan, and meat eaters alike. The serving sizes are huge though, and food waste makes me a bit uncomfortable, so I would only be back if they offered take-away of uneaten food.

The menu offered was much cut down from that on the website. The moussaka was the best that I have had in a resturant; the kleftiko was good, apparently. My aubergine starter lacked half of the stated ingredients, was not of restaurant quality, and was absurdly overpriced for what it was. The wines were ridiculously expensive. Poor value. Will not return.

Nice place to go for a special evening. Feel like the veggie options are poor (only 2 in the main) and very overpriced for small portions. Nearly £20 for 1/4 slice of aubergine for a main with a few mouthfuls of lettuce.

The meat in the seafood risotto was fresher than many restaurants.

What a gem this place is! Came in on a Sunday afternoon, had seabass, greek salad, a few other appetizers and a bottle of Theopetra Estate Cabernet. Having lived in California for years, learned one or two things about wine and I can say for the very least this bottle is under-rated. A civilization that has been making wines for centuries… just did not excel in marketing what they do as much as French and Americans… Coming from a Turkish ;) The owner is a fine gentleman from Greece who have generously offered us a bottle of complimentary cold-pressed olive oil and a bottle of authentic kalamata olives. Greek hospitality at its best in the middle of London!

This restaurant serves absolutely fantastic authentic Greek food in a wonderful friendly and intimate atmosphere. I had a bowl of olives as a starter. They were the best I’ve ever had served in London and included marinated garlic and sun dried tomatoes. Each day there are several specials. I had a stuffed aubergines topped with a thick layer of toasted feta… sublime. The whole place is lit with candles perched atop wooden tables thick with wax. The glow from them feels wonderful. This is a truly amazing restaurant I thoroughly recommend it.

The best Greek food I’ve had outside of Greece. The humus was so good even my 5 year old took a minute to appreciate it. The main courses were absolutely amazing. I will definitely be coming back!

I used to come here over 8-10 years ago, and I finally dropped by today after all that time. To my delight, I wasn't disappointed. The service was kind and gave great recommendations, and the kleftiko was seriously delicious. I'm not waiting another decade to come back. If you're around and craving a good, hearty lunch, this spot's got you covered!

The food at this restaurant is heavenly. Everything we tried was perfect and made us feel like we were back in Greece! The team was also great with accommodating my food allergies. Definitely come early or make a reservation - it’s a small space!

Food was tasty, though my dislike of fresh tomatoes leads to desire for less of them in salads. Table bread was fresh. Service was friendly. Kitchen opens around noon I think.

Such a fresh and authentic foods! Every single dish we ordered, really enjoyed. Staffs are very friendly and attentive which makes the experience even special. It’s located in a quieter road from the busy main road. Really enjoyed the foods and the whole experience. Lovely decorations inside too! Will definitely go back again. No baby changing room.

This place is great! I’ve been there a lot of times and I will gladly go again . Food is excellent, the highest quality of ingredients. Beef was so soft . Wine is something special. They have original imported wines and staff are always friendly .

I must commend the service; it was excellent, and the house wine was decent as well. However, the food left much to be desired. We appreciated that they accommodated us as walk-in customers, but unfortunately, I found the dishes unpalatable and outdated. It seemed as though the recipes were taken straight out of a 1970's stock cookbook. Having recently returned from a trip to Greece in September, I was eager to relive the culinary experience, but this was a letdown. I'll need to continue my search for a good Greek restaurant. On a positive note, the ambiance of the place was stunning, and the staff provided impeccable service.

I haven’t visited for a while and was really impressed by the new menu and the quality of food. We had (among others) octopus and king prawns saganaki, which were not only utterly tasty but reminded me of my hometown in Greece. Would recommend to everyone and will definitely come back. 🤩

Ive been going to this restaurant for years but its changed with the owners seemingly hell bent on making as much out of their customers as possible. This would be fine if you got value for money. We were served by a very professional young man (i hope they pay their staff well enough as no service is added to the bill). We left a decent tip but frankly to pay 16.50 for 3 king prawns and a few spoons of avocado is utter madness. Ditto one small filo pastry triangle stuffed with feta and some honey, nine quid. Are you having a laugh.....probably. Shame as i work nearby but never again....

I had the ‘special’ - aubergine with minced lamb and béchamel sauce - which was relatively expensive, not very tasty, and had been heated in a microwave so much it caused burns to the roof of my mouth.

As a foreigner, I had an amazing time dining here. The vine leaves with the greek-yogurt sauce balanced well together. Had the pepper with rice inside. The feta cheese had a strong flavor. If you like feta cheese, you would like it. And Moussaka was good too.

Another wonderful find whilst wandering down from Euston we discovered this excellent restaurant/cafe and the food, staff,and selection were excellent.

We went here recently with some friends. The food was excellent. Delicious, fresh and well made. It has a nice atmosphere too and the service was good. The only downside is that it's a little pricey.

One of my favourite spots in London for years, this lovely restaurant has been a repeat choice when meeting friends for a good catch up -- it can be slightly loud at times, but that's part of its lively, charming Greek vibe. It's authentic Greek cuisine with a small(ish) but good priced menu -- and the staff, always quite busy, has never failed to be friendly.

Während unseres Aufenthaltes in London waren wir zweimal in diesem netten griechischen Restaurant. Die Einrichtung und die Atmosphäre sind sehr angenehm. Wir haben sowohl frischen Fisch als auch Kleftiko und geschmortes Rindfleisch mit Auberginenmus gegessen. Alles war super lecker, von guter Qualität, ebenso die Vorspeisen wie Meze, Tarama und Auberginen. Unbedingt zu empfehlen!!

Popped in for lunch as exploring the neighbourhood. This is a really charming homely place. I had complimentary bread which was really tasty followed by a roasted chicken leg with Roast potatoes and salad which was nice. Service was good and very helpful

We arrived at 21:30 on a Friday evening. We were told we had to choose our food quickly because the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes at 21:45. We chose a starter and main in 3 minutes. The starters arrived in about 10 minutes. But it was a further 45 minutes before the main courses arrived: a kleftiko and a moussaka. Nobody else was waiting for food so the order should have been the only one to process. No explanation for the delay. A barely audible apology when the food arrived. The kleftiko was mainly potatoes and hardly any meat and very salty. The moussaka was tasteless with a sauce on top that had the consistency of congealed blancmange and with no seasoning at all. - the worst ever. Very un-Greek. The food had arrived so late that we were eventually the only people left and tables were being cleaned around us. At least the bill - around £74 - had no service charge - which must have been a tacit acknowledge of failure. Overall: never again.

Great wines and a lovely atmosphere. The aubergine salad and kleftiko was very tasty. Greek cooks and manager work there so its modern and authentic Greek.

Delicious Greek food! The octopus stifado with caramelised onions was amazing, but the slow cooked lamb kleftiko was too salty for me.

Lovely place to eat inside, with a few tables outside on the pavement. Not completely authentic Greek food and wine expensive. Toilets in basement down steep narrow stairs. Service was great. Service charge not automatically added to bill, which was a plus.

This restaurant has transported my taste buds to a sunny beach in Santorini without the hassle of airport security. 🏖️🍽️ From the moment I walked in, I was surrounded by the ambiance of Greece. The decor is so authentic that Zeus himself would give it a thumbs up! 🌩️🏛️ The staff is as warm and welcoming as the Mediterranean sun, and I swear I caught the waiter saying "Opa!" every time they brought out a plate. Let's talk about the food – oh, the food! It's like Zorba the Greek's dance in my mouth with every bite. The moussaka was so good that I contemplated starting a "Moussaka Anonymous" support group. if you're looking for recommendations, just ask the staff – they've clearly tasted their way through the menu with gusto. So, if you want a dining experience that's Greek-tastic, look no further. This restaurant deserves a place in Mount Olympus itself (or at least on your foodie bucket list). Bravo to the team! 🍽️🇬🇷

Been here twice now, and becoming my favourite restaurant in london, the sea food pasta is amazing.

I’ve had the traditional greek moussaka which was extremely delicious. I was impressed with the quality of service, and the professionalism of the staff.

First things to say: the food was very good and the atmosphere was lovely. The shared meze dish is a nice way to start or to accompany the main dishes, but my question to the management is: how can you serve a meze dish and charge separately for bread that is an essential part of eating meze?? And how would you think it a good idea to charge again when the customers ask for more bread? (Each dish of bread = £5) It's a bad look. It could make the difference between wanting to return and thinking about going somewhere else that loves its guests a little more!

We dropped in on the off chance of a table quite early which was a good thing as within the hour the place was full. The staff were very friendly and worked hard to make sure things went well. We shared various starter options, pitta with greek cheese and honey, fried squid and my goats cheese with fig and honey was replaced with feta cheese - as they had run out of goats cheese - they ran out of wine as well. As for the mains, sublime. My friend and I had the fish of the day on steamed vegetables and our partners both had the Greek salads as mains. The fish just melted in the mouth - personally I could have done with slightly more veg - but the sauce was absolutely delicious - I had to ask the waitress what-the secret ingredient was which gave it such a nice kick. We sat at the back of the restaurant by the window - which on a very hot eve was a blessing in disguise with a slight cool breeze. But it was hot in the place but we were given ample ice water alongside the cooled rose. The waitress who served us was friendly and jolly and was a credit to the restaurant. Overall, slightly expensive but this was an exceptional Greek restaurant, food was good, staff were good and friendly, great location and well worth a visit if you are in the area.

SOAS booked the restaurant for the celebratory dinner following a law student competition - we packed the restaurant with all covers taken. The staff were patient, attentive and friendly and the food was very generously portioned and really delicious - left very full!

Absolutely delicious lunch of Greek beef stew with orzo and very good coffee. Found this place by accident. A well stocked deli, delicious menu, very friendly staff and happy customers makes this a lovely find and we will definitely be back

Our plans were very fluid since we didn’t know how many people would join after a nearby conference. However they handled this very well and did their absolute best to accommodate my team and our colleagues who were meeting for the first time post-pandemic. Food was excellent from the salads through to the moussaka through to the lamb and they did a really excellent job throughout of keeping things flowing on what was a busy night for staff.Hope to be back here in a year’s time with more certainty on our numbers! I am Greek and my expectations considering the quality and the taste of the food were really high.I never tasted anything similar in London, even in places charging three times the price. The food was cooked to perfection. The braised beef was melting in the mouth, the special of the day was my less favourite ingredient in the world transformed into a dish I would like to enjoy everyday. Many cheers to the chefs!

We visited here on the 11th and for most of the meal we were the only ones in the restaurant. Sometimes I prefer other tables for an atmosphere but I felt at Life Goddess it wasn’t needed. The attention to detail of the restaurant was lovely and the waitress was very helpful and attentive. The portion sizes were next level the starter was goats cheese and we got w whole goats cheese, it was delicious just to big. The lobster gnocchi was beautiful, we had a voucher but didn’t feel we were treated any differently. The service was that good we wanted to leave a tip by card but because it was a voucher and there was no balance we couldn’t leave on. So maybe you could change this on the card readers to give them the opportunity to get tips with voucher customers.

What a great little place! A real Greek experience with absolutely delicious food! The menu has a brilliant selection of food, suitable for all pallets and the potion sizes are very generous! Highly recommend and would definitely go back! Only thing I would say is this is not the place to go if you want a fast meal, as the service was a little slow (not bad just relaxed)

I went to the Greek Goddess on a quiet Wednesday evening but the intimacy and size of the restaurant meant that it felt full. We were warmly greeted and this service continue throughout the evening.This evening was about me and my partner and as ever she was happy to share. I tried two starters and two mains. Both were fabulousThe starters of octopus was lovely the balsamic soaked baby onions added to the texture of the moouse and octopus chunks The Spanish sausage was also lovely a rich tomato sauce added to the taste of the sausage. Sometimes these dishes can have rock hard chorizo sausages but not here the sausage was cooked just perfectly soaking in flavours and tastes.The main of moussaka is my usual favourite so I would say I am quite an expert here, was perfect. The layered dish combined perfectly with the green leave salad to leave me happily full. My wife's seabass was beautifully presented and tasted fantasticThis led me to decide a final cocktail was in order to finish the evening, thank you Greek Goddess you made a lovely evening for us both.

We had a delicious meal, all the flavours of Greece. The warm Cretan cheese with fig jam starter was superb. It was all very good value. The staff were delightful, very friendly but not intrusive.

Went with my son and partner and we wanted to everything on the menu! Each dish was so unique and delicious. The rosé was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Will return to try the dishes we couldn’t fit in our bellies on this visit. Highly recommend

We came for a celebration dinner. It was our first visit and very much hope it wouldn't be our last.There were 5 of us and we all enjoyed our food. We ordered a selection of starters including Dackos, which was new to us. It was very nicely presented and tasted lovely. The goat cheese with fig jam was a divine combination. The meze platter was much larger than we expected and would have been sufficient as a meal itself. The Greek salad, although familiar, was delicious.For main course, most of us went for the lamb shank. The meat just felt off the bone and was tasty and tender. The sauce was gorgeous. The classic kleftiko was nicely cooked; juicy and tender. I wanted to have more bread to mop up the jus, but I was too full by then. Regrettably, none of us had room for puddings. All washed down with a nice and crisp Greek white wine.We thoroughly enjoyed the food, which was so good that one of my friends changed her opinion on Greek food. She thought it was all taramasalata, hummus, olives and feta. The service was excellent, too. We had a pleasant surprise when the bill came. All that food for relatively little money. At about £45 ahead, it was fantastic value.Can't wait to go back again.

The tomato sauce for the cannellini beans and especially the prawns was surprisingly sweet, ruining the flavour. Not sure if this is a 'traditional' Greek recipe from some region but nothing like I've tasted in Greece. Similarly, there was way too much saffron in the risotto (enough to induce labour), completely masking any asparagus, and calling into question the quality of the saffron. Even the tzatziki had a slight taste of mayonnaise. Overall, these over-powering flavours made the meal rather unenjoyable and cheap-tasting, though still edible, but will definitely not be returning.The staff, however, were very friendly and nice presentation.

We visited this place for our team lunch. The food was amazing, and the seating was just perfect for a reunion after lockdown. Very pleasant atmosphere, not too noisy, helpful staff who were attentive but did not pressurise. A special shout out to Salvadore, who served us that day. He was super nice and friendly and recommended just amazing wine and starters, and we never regretted that choice. We had an amazing experience, definitely recommend this restaurant!

I am not dining there often, but I frequently visit this shop to buy Greek products. I am always very satisfied with the quality of products that they have and the helpfulness of staff members. It is not very cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. I will visit it again.

stopped at the life goddess for lunch with the family inbetween visiting madame tussauds and the british museum. the kids (7 & 9) needed to rest their feet and we all needed to fuel up and the life goddess definitely did that. Although they don't have a children's menu my kids shared the lamb shank and loved it. I had the kleftiko and it was delicious. My wife had the octopus which she said was amazing and has now set the bar very high. we stayed on and had desserts which were equally good. really recommend this place for a relaxed lunch spot with a lovely homely / local neighbourhood feel in amongst an area that could very easily be filled with tourist traps

Amo este lugar. Todavía sirve el mejor kleftiko que he probado en mi vida, en Grecia o en cualquier otro lugar. Derritiéndose hermosa. No hay mucho en el menú, pero lo que hay está hecho de manera simple y magnífica. Con los años me había acostumbrado tanto al pan pita seco e insípido que había olvidado lo sabroso que podía ser. La tarta casera de naranja con miel fue una delicia. Me alegro mucho de que este restaurante sobreviva.
