Fab restaurant with great service and delicious food

Food was very good and the staff friendly. The only comment would be that the door was opening non stop for delivery people/customers and a lot of cold air was coming in. We were sat right next to the door and couldn’t be moved. Other than that, a really nice evening.

First time at Andy's and will definitely come back. The atmosphere was buzzing for a Sunday night. The food was fabulous and great value. We did have the option to go into the larger room but the atmosphere in the main restaurant was so nice we didn't want to move even though we were in path of the door opening all the time which was quite cold in December. But overall definitely a winner. No wonder they've been in business for so long.

Absolutely delicious, and for £25 each for 8 people including 2 bottles of wine and dessert it was amazingly priced. One of the best meals my friends and I have had in London. Will definitely be back

We were back after a few years and were glad to see that the food quality has remained excellent. The prices were very reasonable as well. They gave us free drinks on the house, which was a nice touch since we were celebrating.

The very charismatic boss had everything tightly under control and despite the restaurant heaving with people the service was immaculate.

Such an amazing place! Me and my boyfriend found this little gem online whilst planning our trip to London for our 1st Anniversary. The food was soo delicious, the staff were not only very friendly but so attentive to each table, even with a fully booked restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and friendly without question give this place a visit ..... 10/10!

Had the kleftika and the kataifi and it was great. The service was lovely and attentive even though the place was busy.

I was in London and was recommended Andy's, what a great Greek restaurant, had a kleftiko and it was the best I've had, it came off the bone and melted in my mouth, £15.50, unbelievable value, then I had coffee and a desert, total including service abut £25! That aside the owner and staff were great, I will go up London again just for this, just wish it was my local, I'd be there every week.

We had a wonderful experience here for my birthday last Saturday. Andy and team were so accommodating making room for our party of 20. Food was delicious, great value for money (given it is central London) and service was so warm and generous. Our favourite meal was the kleftiko which was so tender, falling off the bone. We even got complimentary shots on the house. A huge thank you - we will be back!

Best Greek restaurant I’ve been so far in my life

Disappointed that my souvlaki wasn’t served with pitta (I did ask when we ordered). The dolmades were cold on underside so not sure how they were heated. I would rather it said on the menu the Gigantes were served cold, assume they were meant to be. It was busy and good atmosphere but food just didn’t hit the spot for me. I can’t be bought with a free shot I am afraid

Amazing place - glad I found it for a pre roundhouse meal! Huge portions and extraordinary value for money… shocked places like this still exist in london. Tremendous and will certainly be back! The shared set menu is - MASSIVE and delicious. Excellent warm service. Really positive experience. Busy - felt like old school London. X

Lovely staff and great food . Restaurant is in two parts next door to each other. We were seated in the more casual of the two restaurants ( there are two separate entrances ) as we had a wheelchair and the other part had a large booking and it would have been too cramped. It was a bit chilly where we were sitting as waiters were going in and out to/ from next door but I just put my coat on 😀 on and it was fine Excellent food and desserts, very reasonably priced for Camden and attentive service. We ordered some takeaway too for my mother to eat the following day. Thank you very much . I’m sure we will be back as my mother lives about 10 minutes drive away. X

The food and service was excellent! Unfortunately on arrival we were directed outside to the " next door area" for smaller parties. That was fine! However when enquired as to where ladies was was informed I had to go outside into main restaurante area. It was at the back and had to navigate my way through busy restaurante and waiters serving in a very narrow gateway? Toilets literally enough for one person and unisex! No room! Back to the side room and door was constantly opening and shutting.as the food was being transported. Out from main side of restaurante, outside restaurante and into to side room. No through passage or corridor???? They really do need to think about reconfigurating this place as seems they had lovely restaurante and just bought next door for more seats. This in Winter or when pouring with rain? Unfortunately for this reason will not return!

Amazing Greek food and lovely staff!

I've been to this place twice in recent weeks, and on both occasions it was an exceptional experience. It's a very unpretentious place, it always seems busy with a great atmosphere. I got very warm welcome from the owner who said if I didn't like my food he would swap it for something else. Well, he didn't need to because the kleftico was superb. On my second visit he remembered me and made me very welcome again. This time I had the stiffado which was fabulous, an amazing aroma of cinnamon and clove when it was placed in front of me. Both of these meals were accompanied by salad and bread, and the portion sizes were just right. On both visits I had baklava with ice cream for desert. With the bill you'll get a free shot and after that he offered me a brandy as well. By this time I'd got chatting to other customers, and the owner came round with a bottle of amaretto! Amazing. I don't think you'll find better value for such good food in London.

We first found Andy’s Taverna when we stumbled across it when looking for somewhere to eat, and we were not disappointed. We came back for a second time and it lived up to our memory. Delicious food, amazing service and just a great authentic ambience of a taverna you would find in Greece. The moussaka was 10/10 - so yummy! This is one of our favourite restaurants in London for sure, we love it!

Is a nicely hidden away place. We arrived early and seemed closed...but it wasn't. We were early. Is very authentic and food is tasty. Service was good. Overall is worth visiting. I would not say is Amazing but if you are around give it a go. I think is definitely worthwhile at least one visit.

Enjoyable and good food. Went yesterday again for a meze lovely chicken kebab and pork as well as the kleftiko came of the bone. Asked for extra bread and pitta bread. Yesterday I enjoyed it a lot. The chicken souvlaki as well melted in your mouth.

We had a lovely dinner here on 31st of October. We were served by very friendly waiter, and later on we had a warm conversation with the owner. This restaurant has such a cozy and charming atmosphere, fast and friendly service. I particularly liked their baklava. Will definitely go there again!

We were there last night, we hadn't booked but the owner kindly found us a place. We enjoyed ourselves. The dishes are plentiful, very good. Their bread is delicious. And the little Amaretto served at the end is the icing on the cake 👍. Run there!!

If you go, order the kleftiko! And don’t order the spanakopita or fried calamari

The restaurant serves traditional Greek dishes. The expectations were much higher than the experience itself. The decoration is outdated, the toilet is almost unusable next to the kitchen, the food is average. We tried various dishes and nothing delighted us. Moussaka was the most delicious. There is a lot of service, but they are not organized, they forget ordered or repeated drinks, they ask that the appetizer and the main course be eaten with the same utensils. They are not even accommodating in terms of recommending something they are proud of. Overall average, nothing special. Would not recommend and will not return, as I have eaten in much better Greek restaurants.

Been coming to Andy's on and off for years as I come from area. Always been happy with food and service. It's seems to be change in staff.had mix grill calamari and dips.can honestly say food was probably worse I've had for a long time. House white was like vinegar and they didn't even have pitta bread.must have changed hands... shocking.

Such a local gem! Delicious traditional Greek food that is amazing value - great portion sizes too. Highly recommend the mixed souvlaki. Very caring staff too: took good care of my friend who wasn’t feeling well, and went above and beyond to do what they could to help. It’s busy and buzzing with tables close together: that adds to the atmosphere and presumably keeps prices down. Worth reserving in advance as it does seem to fill up most nights.

Best Dolmades ever! Pork mince was so tasty I also had the corfu prawns and were delicious as was mixed grill that my husband Michael ordered my son chose chicken souvlaki with rice and enjoyed everything! staff were lovely, waiter think he was called Samil was a star can’t wait to return .

Wonderful experience with traditional Greek cuisine, an immersive environment with themed music and a simple and welcoming atmosphere. The food has a unique flavor, delicious seasoning and Mediterranean freshness, the most succulent and tasty grilled chicken I've ever tried. We had been asked to change tables to accommodate a larger number of customers and we were surprised with a complimentary dessert (baklava) for the kindness of the change, we were delighted with the service and the taste of the food.

Oh so much to enjoy with a visit to Andy’s! This is a five star dining experience with food cooked simply but beautifully. The starter plates were a perfect size to sample wonderful greek dishes. The mains were superb and cooked to perfection! The staff were excellent and reflected in the high levels of attentive service we received. I will be back… and this should be a go to for anyone wanting to be whisked away for a moment in authentic Greece.

I tried this family-owned restaurant many times and each time they put the bar higher. So impressed with the food quality (by far the best shrimps, needless to talk about kleftiko), the very reasonable prices and the continuous love the owners show to their customers. The food here is excellent, reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is fantastic! We opted for both the meat and fish tasting menus, which were perfect for trying a variety of dishes and ideal for sharing, especially if you're dining with a larger group. The staff were attentive and accommodating, and the manager fostered a warm, lively atmosphere that made us feel right at home. We absolutely loved our experience and would highly recommend it!

Wonderfull choice. Great guest, food and service

I've come to London for work and rather than eat alone in my room on this Tuesday evening in mid October, I decided to venture out in Camden Town. How pleased I was to have stumbled across Andy's Greek Taverna London ! This has to be the most popular restaurant for miles. It's packed full to the brim and the jovial sound of bazouki music & excited diners both Greek and English resonates out onto the street. Thankfully they had a little space for one! The best chicken souvlaki and chips I've had outside of Greece itself with a Greek salad (extra feta!) and a glass of something crisp to wash it down. Then my lovely adjacent diners (Greek Cypriot) poured me another glass of wine and insisted I sample their tzatziki and pitta! Several 'yamas' later we've exchanged stories and I'm nolonger dining alone! The service was excellent from Petros and his team. Everyone was so attentive. Tonight reminds me why it's always good to push yourself out of your comfort zone. Venture out, even if alone .... you never know what fabulous places you'll discover or interesting people you'll meet. 🇬🇷

My family and I went here for my husband birthday and we all had a fabulous time, the food was absolutely delicious, above our expectations so many compliments to the chef !!! My boyfriend & I were craving our native Greek food tonite cause we came all the way from New York visiting London ! He ordered the mixed grill and I ordered fish (lavraki) on the grill ! Maria, the cook, made our dinner delicious! We had the privilege of meeting the owner of the restaurant while we had this wonderful meal ! Thank you for the fresh made bougatsa as well! Wow!! Absolutely amazing food!! Amazing!!!

We decided on Andy's based on reviews and rating on Google. We were not disappointed. The staff were friendly, service was excellent and the food delicious. My daughter was celebrating her birthday which we only mentioned in passing and they brought out a candlelit desert. It made for some great photos. I would definitely go back and I highly recommend Andy's Taverna.

Brilliant taverna that makes you feel as if you are really in Greece. The food is always delicious. I've been coming here for years and the quality has never changed - nor has the price! Fresh and flavourful. The staff are lovely too. They gave my sister a bottle of wine for her birthday free of charge and also a dessert with candles. It's so nice to have a local restaurant like this. It's getting rarer in the UK, especially London, to have a good neighbourhood restaurant with kind staff and fantastic food. It really is a little bit of Greece in the heart of Camden. Don't hesitate to eat here!

We ate at an outdoor table outside the store and the atmosphere was nice. There are many customers until late at night and the staff service is good. Especially the aperitif is really delicious and the bread is also delicious.

Exceptional service and the food was great. Remember to call in and leave your name if you want to make a booking, it was very busy on a Sunday night. We had meze meat set which includes 7 cold starters (mostly dips) and 3 hot starters (Kalamari, halloumi), Kleftiko and kebab. It was so much meat, I like the variety of food to try and the Kleftiko lamb leg was so tender. Highly rate the pink fish roe starter dip.

Catherine and I had such a great meal at nAdy's Greek Taverna in Camden Town last night. The BEST food, the BEST service, just a wonderful experience. Steven, you would love this place. And Mia, too. And everyone! The starter platter was many plates of hummus, taramasalata, tzatziki, halloumi, calamari etc, and then we had the meat platter (carnivore in our midst, though there are loads of vegetarian options) with delicious salads and just ... yum! Thank you Andy!

A great return. Went to Andy's last in 1970. Found the food - shared by a party of four - excellent in taste and preparation. The bill was OK too!

I recently celebrated my birthday at Andy's after having a lovely meal here a couple of months before that. We were very well looked after by Pedro, he was very attentive, accommodating of guests with dietary restrictions and was great fun! The food was absolutely delicious (so much food - I will be thinking about that lamb dish for a long time!) and I can't wait to come back. Excellent value for money too. Highly recommended 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I just had the most wonderful time at this lovely Greek restaurant! The service was absolutely amazing, and the food was just like what I had on a beautiful Greek island called Chios.

Highly recommended Greek cuisine. A varied menu with several choices, including healthy options. Some of my favorite items on their menu are tzatziki, dolmades, and gigandes. An excellent option in a neighborhood with several Greek restaurants. Andy's and Daphne's are my favorite, and I rotate between the two.
