Andromeda Restaurant in Camden

We had reserved online. When we arrived for three people, we immediately noticed that the organization was not good, because the tables were only assigned and pushed together after arrival. And that on New Year's Eve. The food was fresh, but we didn't like it. The steak was ordered medium rare but came through. In terms of food, we wouldn't give more than enough. In the middle of the main course a large table reservation came and we quickly realized that they wanted to pass our table on to these people. That's why they looked at our plates every second and cleared away our plates before everyone was finished with the main course. We wanted another dessert and weren't ready to leave after 1 hour. However, the other guests had already been waiting outside in the cold for 20 minutes because there was hardly any space in the restaurant. You sit close together and it is extremely loud because of the many people in the small room. And to cover that up, the music was turned up extremely loud. In addition, the door is constantly opening and closing, you are basically sitting on the sidewalk and the cold wind is always blowing in. The service was also rather satisfactory. Good thing we don't live here. We wouldn't come back. They apologized a few times afterwards and then wanted to move us for dessert, but then we left. We didn't want to pay more money for this poor performance.

A restaurant where everything was fresh and delicious. Welcome and quality service. The portions are very generous, all served in beautiful dishes. I recommend the dishes to share. The restaurant was open for Christmas and not very far from our hotel, so more than perfect.

Very tasty food, the dishes were generously filled, the Kleftiko was delicious and supper tender. The house wine is excellent. The Andromeda mix grill is also very tasty and plentiful here.

We booked for 10 but due to the weather only 6 came and they were very accommodating and relaxed we had the meze was really nice you get everything in the meze and the food was really good as well as the service will go again soon im getting hungry just writing this review

We had a booking with TheFork, but unfortunately when we arrived there was no table for us. We were a few minutes late due to a stormy night outside, but within the booking grace period. We were told that the table had been given to someone else, although the restaurant was only occupied by very large groups, so I am suspicious of this. The place was very noisy and not very nice inside. We went instead to the Greek restaurant in front (Alexander the Great), where we were welcomed and treated very well. What a pity! (PS graded food as an average 3 stars as we did not try it!)

We had an excellent lunch menu here before and after a tiring day battling Christmas shoppers we thought we would retire for rest and supper. What a great descision that turned out to be. The food was fabulous, the quantiry was very generous and the service was both fun and efficient. For the record, I had the Meat Feast (lamd and chicken - yummy!) and my wife had the Lamb Kebabs (mouth waterring) with sides of spinach and amazing, delicious, barbecued tomatoes. We were rather full after that but still managed there sumptious Baklava to finish. If you're in North London anywhere near Camden Town, Kings Cross or the delightful Mornington Crescent, make your way here - you won't be disappinted

My friend and I went for the lunch time fixed menu. We both opted for a hot mixed starter which was delicious. For the main, I opted for the mixed kebabs, my amigo had the pasta and lamb. The service was excellent and the owner very friendly. 5 🌟

I once asked if the food was Halal and the waiter gave me the rudest look. He proceeded to rant about how I could even ask that question. It was so awkward, safe to say the food was rubbish & service was even worse. Won't be visiting again, that kind of racist behaviour doesn't belong in London. Surprised this place still exists. If you are vegan or vegetarian - there is nothing on the menu!

Stumbled upon this restaurant today (Sunday afternoon) and was pleasantly surprised. Great food. Service was polite and at that time of day a very chilled atmosphere, was just ideal for what we were looking for. Would definitely go back.

My wife and I read the reviews of Andromeda and thought would give it a try on our trip to London and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent great size portions. We had the moussaka and the meatballs. Very nice. We got to try the rice pudding. Yum, so would recommend if you’re after a Greek dinner. This would be the place to go.

Very good Greek restaurant, the service is outstanding, all the staff are friendly, professional and kind. The food is good and fresh quality and large portions. They were all very nice and accommodating with us, we also requested to move table and to move outside and they managed to help us. Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures of the food, but it was delicious!! We were so hungry and the food looked so good, that we couldn’t care less to take pictures but we truly enjoyed our meal! The owner and all his staff are doing a great job! Thank you

Friendly and cozy place in Camden. First time in the restaurant, but not first timers experiencing Greek food. My favorite stifado did not disappoint, flavors, sauce and meat on point! Hospitality, friendliness and overall service top notch! My husband odered mixed grill with delicious and generous pieces of meat, fresh garnish and home made chips (fresh fries). Not forgetting our startes, zatziki and saganaki. Opa!!! We only live 5km away from the place so easy beasy to come again!

Busy Greek restaurant on a side street. Quite strange to have another Greek on the other side of the road. Staff are polite but not amazingly friendly or welcoming. Had the meat meze and the amount of food for the price is phenomenal. The starter course is great, some of the others are excellent and some are very salty (the chops for example). Would recommend as a good place to go, but lacks a little atmosphere, despite it being very busy when we went.

Great food and birthday welcome

Service was fantastic. This is how you welcome a customer! Other Greek restaurants didn't welcome us and we decided to go here and it was an amazing choice. Food was superb, very delicious and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Lovely atmosphere and super friendly service by Greek waitresses :) Food was decent especially the spinach and cheese starter and pitta bread with selection of appetizers. The food was absolutely delicious, the saganaki was really something special with honey and salad. The staff were very attentive and friendly and the toilets were very clean and lovely.

We had a fantastic dinner in the sunshine at Andromeda. My husband had the kleftiko and the meat just melted off the bone it was so tender. I had the Gemista and it was so flavourful. We also had a selection of sharing plates. The pitta was fresh and warm, the potato salad was light, the selection of veggies and dips were all wonderful. The rice pudding was zesty and refreshing. The beer is great too! The servers were friendly and attentive. Would thoroughly recommend eating here!

Authentic, delicious Greek menu with lots to offer! Food, wine, atmosphere perfect for our family. The waiters made great connections and were super friendly and attentive. They made the birthday celebration really very special and it will be a memorable meal and experience. If you enjoy Mediterranean food and vibes, this is a great restaurant!

In london Camden district.. It is a greek restaurant, the foods are moderate as taste and ambiance is standard intermediate level… lamp was good , fish cooled well… salad we testes greek salad but tomatoes was not cleaned well…the price of foods are average price…

Terrible food. The restaurant bribes customers with a free digestive or dessert to leave a good review, so take all the five star reviews you find here with a grain of salt. UPDATE: In response to the owner’s misleading response to my review: Your manager literally said that we would only get the free limoncello or rice pudding if we left a review. When we refused to leave a review, we were offered nothing.

Wow! What an amazing place. We had the Mousakka, Stifado and Lamb Chops. Food was incredible. Great atmosphere and attentive staff. Would certainly recommend to anyone visiting the Camden area.

Came in by chance and we had the loveliest experience. Veli was super generous and friendly. We got extra starters for free to share on top of what we ordered. The mains were delicious (and very substantial portions!), and we were offered a limoncello on the house after. Veli and the other staff are open for a chat and jokes :) we had a really nice time.

We ordered a selection of starters and shared a number of main dishes. The food was delicious - extremely fresh and flavoursome. We felt like we were in Greece! Service was prompt and friendly without being overbearing. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would not hesitate to return.

This place is a local gem - I’ve lived in Camden a long time and love our Greek community. The food was excellent but what really stands out is the wonderful team working here who genuinely care if you’re enjoying your food and wine, and will check in with recommendations, their joy was infectious.

We had a fabulous fish meze! The service and the atmosphere was excellent. Highly recommended.
