Meze Nw6 restaurant in Camden

Would absolutely avoid this restaurant at all costs. Quite possibly the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. The list of things that went wrong is endless, the food and service given to us was quite simply atrocious and abysmal. Still cannot get my head around serving a VEGETARIAN a meat dish. Would highly recommend you avoid this place.

Absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and welcoming. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The food was incredible! We ordered the soutzoukakia, which were perfectly spiced and tender, and the mixed grill, which was cooked to perfection with a great variety of flavors. Everything tasted fresh and authentic, just like a home-cooked Greek meal. It made us feel like we were back home. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect place to enjoy a meal with family. If you’re looking for delicious Greek food with top-notch service, this is the place to go! Highly recommend and will definitely be returning. I really recommend trying baklava for dessert!

Came in with my family earlier today for Greeks Independence Day. Lovely service and the food was delicious! We ordered the sea bass and mix grill which was fantastic. First time but definitely not my last! Thanks for a lovely meal

Such a shame. This place was one of my favourite Greeks. But unfortunately I will never go back after the experience of tonight. We went to celebrate mother in-law's 60th with the family. Table of 11. We were the only table. Food was dreadful, no flavour and veg was stine cold. The service was 2 hours between ordering and mains. Only half the table ate their dishes. Dinners out are few and far between this day and age and you can't afford to basically be robbed of your time and money. Every single dish I could've cooked better myself and in less than half the time. One of us ordered the veg moussaka which ended up being meat. He religiously doesn't eat meat so was quite upset. The list could go on but I'll stop there.

We waited for almost an hour for starters to come out slowly for another 20 minutes. We then waited another hour form mains. A table of 11 and 5 wanted the Kleftico to which we were talked there was one. Baring in mind we were the only table bar a table of 2 that came 30 minutes after. The waitress mentioned nothing, no apologies or acknowledgement for a ridiculously bad service. The bread they gave at the start was with nothing but processed flavourless olive oil. Not extra virign which is a joke. They gave a table of 11 8olives. My main was the seabass. No flavour at all. My Father in law had the prawns, no flavour at all. Only took of £70 on a £320 bill when minimum it should've been is half as most people didn't eat their food. The meatballs smelt like damp dish cloth.

Something has happened where the restaurant must be under new management. The food was appalling. Really really bad quality. Not one meal out of the 10 we ordered were good. Really bad. Don’t go here, it’s not the same as before

Terrible service and experience at this place. Food was quite bland and being the only table in the restaurant on a Tuesday night our mains took 2.5 hours to come out.. what a joke and embarrassment. One of the guests with us on the table is strictly vegetarian and ordered the vegetarian moussaka which came out with meat. Appaling

A very nice discovery! The cuisine is excellent. If you want to eat balanced, vegetables and fresh produce cooked perfectly and all that at a reasonable price compared to restaurants in London, this is the address not to be missed. In addition, the service is very friendly. Not to be missed!

Nice local option. Problems with the heating make it uncomfortable. Hopefully they will fix it soon.

My family have frequented Meze since it has opened and enjoyed it’s food. Previously i’ve had calimari from here, and it’s been nice. However on this occasion, i could smell a fishy smell fron the kitchen as it was cooking and I should have declined it at that point. When it came to my table it was very rubbery, and i should have stopped eating it but i was hungry. It then repeated on me with a fishy smell, so im really not impressed with the quality of the food. I gave it a 3 star as we have enjoyed it since it opened, but the chefs need to pull their finger out or try their calamari before sending out rubbish like that.

Teníamos un kleftiko y una moussaka y estaba sabroso y caliente y tan lleno. Me encontré comiendo más de lo que suelo comer. El camarero Alban era atento y cálido y dio nuestros cumplidos al chef. Hola, fuimos a cenar allí. El lugar tiene una buena sensación. Desafortunadamente cuando visitamos muchas de las opciones de menú no estaban disponibles, algunas de las cervezas faltaban y el servicio estaba un poco apagado. Volveríamos, probablemente no después de esta experiencia.

I came here starving with my 4 friends, after finding no where to eat in Kilburn, I suggested this smalls authentic Greek kitchen to my friends as they have never eaten Greek before. We were astonished, the food was authentic and decedent and fresh from the grill. Big shoutout to Albin the Albanian his service was second to none. Ervis the chef really knows what he’s doing cooking amazing food so fast and fresh. Would definitely recommend 10/10

Just come back from dinner. While waiting for our dishes, tasty olives, tzatziki and warm bread. Then chicken kebab for my partner and chicken souvla for me, with well cooked and tasty steamed vegetables instead of rice. They kebab and souvla were delicious delicious, the portions generous. I also had a hot chocolate and it was actually hot, yes hot. A very pleasant waiter and pleasant ambience. What is And in our opinion very reasonably priced. As positive as our visit two weeks ago. In a Greek restaurant tucked away in the backstreets of West Hempstead.

This was one of the most disappointing dining experience we have ever experienced. We might have experienced an outlier situation but we felt that it was still important to leave a review so that the management may do something about this. TLDR: We sat there for 2 hours and were not fed. We arrived (party of 4) around 19:50 on a Tuesday evening and were welcomed and seated (restaurant was about half full). We had our orders taken promptly: 2 starters (a dip and grilled octopus) and 4 mains (2 meat dishes, a vegetarian platter, a vegetarian moussaka). We only asked for water as drinks. We did not receive anything for the next 40 mins (not even water), after which the waiter circled back to ask us if we needed anything. We asked for water and if we could add a side of chips to our order. We were assured that this was no issue. After another 25 mins of nothing, the waiter circled back and seemed surprised that we had not yet received any food or drinks. He apologized and offered us drinks on the house, which he brought promptly. Around 21:10 (more than 1 hour after our order had been placed) the first signs of food started appearing. First in the form of a greek salad, some bread and the dip, then some grilled halloumi. We were a bit confused as we had not ordered the greek salad nor the halloumi, but we were also hungry so we did not refuse it. Before digging into the halloumi, we asked our waiter whether we had received the correct order; he went to double check and came back assuring us that this was our food and enumerating what was on our order. Everything seems correct so we figured that the salad and halloumi were components of the vegetarian platter, arriving at different times. After finishing the food we had received, our plates were cleared and we took the opportunity to ask when we might expect the mains. Its was around 21:30. The waiter seemed exasperated and said that he was trying. We didn’t doubt him. He brought us the vegetarian moussaka 10 mins later. After receiving the vegetarian moussaka, we made a group decision to pay for the food we had gotten and to leave. It was 21:45, a time at which we were not expecting to still be having dinner. I went up to the kitchen to ask for the bill. I was surprised to see an extra greek salad and grilled halloumi on the bill. I pointed out that we had not ordered these dishes and asked how come they were on the bill. The waiter seemed confused and removed the greek salad from the bill but asked me to pay for the halloumi, which I did. As we were finishing the moussaka, the waiter came to apologize to us for this terrible dining experience. He assured us that they typically have a functional dining service and that this is an outlier. We believed him, but we still had not received water by this point. We give Meze NW6 one star. As we live in the neighbourhood, we plan on giving this restaurant another chance, but with so many other excellent food options nearby, we think we will stick with more reliable restaurants for now.

Awesome atmosphere, came with my husband and some friends. The food and service were EXCELLENT, and if you're on the fence about checking this place out you should just go for it- you won't be disappointed.

Had an unfortunate experience here on 22/6/24 - having made a booking online (direct on the website) and receiving an email confirmation, we turned up (8 people) to dine and the restaurant was closed for refurb. There is no notice of this on the website or instagram page - both of which are fully up to date. Reviews on here are from recent weeks so no indication of closure (although I did try to call but couldn't get through). This was a nightmare for a party of 8 to try and find somewhere else to eat in London at the last minute on a Saturday evening - a real disappointment after seeing all the great reviews.

We went for dinner because it was close to the hotel, but what a success! Everything was delicious, but especially the moussaka! (It was potato and not eggplant as we expected). We were only in London for 2 days, otherwise we would have returned for sure, because they have some gyros to take with you with a nice…! The pita bread is served freshly made and flew, wonderful. The waitress who served us was also very friendly, she explained everything to us patiently, and the atmosphere was very good, it is a cute place, with a small terrace.

My mate and I walked passed this place by luck and wow, it’s an absolute gem. The owner is super friendly and hands on, and the food is authentic and delicious. We ordered the meze platter for 2 and were definitely full by the end of it.

This was the first time I came here I was a little flustered as my daughter was a bit excited but came here to celebrate my wedding anniversary 9 days ago with my husband and daughter. The food was delicious and Very generous portions it reminded me of when we went to Crete years ago on our honeymoon and got to eat all the this delicious food. The atmosphere was quiet as we were the first ones in a bit early but the the people who run this restaurant are friendly I do recommend coming here

We had a lovely time at this restaurant. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful. There was three of us and we had the meze and we couldn’t believe the amount and variety of dishes we were given. Our reservation at meze restaurant turned into a regrettable experience. Despite booking for four, we were offered a table for two, crammed into a crowded corridor. Complaints fell on deaf ears,with no responsible staff present. Traveling an hour to reach the restaurant only added to our disappointment. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Am so sorry I didn’t take any pictures of the food. Every part of this 4 course meal was like Heaven. .Meze Heaven. Every dish that arrived blew me away.The gentleman who served us treated us like family who came to visit. Everything fresh. I’ve not tasted Chicken like that before . The Prawns were giant Squid i only dream of, right there in front of me. The best meal. Thank you so much Meze . I will tell all my buddies. 😋 ps We were even given two lamb shanks prepared for two people who cancelled. They gave it to us. Wow very much appreciated

The worst experience at a restaurant. We made a reservation for 4 people days in advance, only to travel one hour to the restaurant to be told that we need to sit in a tiny two person table, stuck in between other tables, where people pass. Utterly unprofessional and deeply disappointed by the treatment from the staff.

Very disappointing. We had friends from out of town coming and we made reservation which was confirmed. When we all arrived (in a rainy cold night) they said the canceled the reservation without calling us. Not bother to call or apologize.

First visit to Meze after living in the area for over a year and promising we’d try it every time we drove past. Calm and friendly atmosphere with Greek music and decor. Staff is very attentive (they gave us some finger food for our toddler) and food is very tasty, special mention for the seafood. We’ll be back for seconds.

I came here with three friends and we really enjoyed the food, the wine and the atmosphere! We started with some spread (tsatziki, hummus, etc) then moved on to some meat. The roasted lamb (kleftiko) was particularly delicious. The staff in the restaurant are really friendly and it’s generally a nice space with a nice decor. We particularly loved the tiles. We don’t live in the neighbourhood, but will definitely come back if we are nearby.

Warm atmosphere. Very accommodating staff (I have a dietary restriction related to beef). Food is absolutely delicious and healthy. Nothing tasted unhealthy or fatty/greasy. Our waiter was lovely and very welcoming, he also helped us with extra calamari and humus (both of which are divine). A must visit!

Pleasant local restaurant in NW6. My friend and I opted for the mixed mezze. The cold starters - a selection of dips with pitta bread - were wonderful, as was the next course of halloumi, ham, spicy sausage and mushroom, cooked to perfection. The fish course consisted of some very tasty calamari in batter and a slightly odd textured butterfly prawn. The final course, the meat, was slightly disappointing given how good the previous courses had been. The lamb was ok but the chicken was fairly tasteless. The service is good and friendly, and we were not rushed through what was a lot of food.

Mysigt och välbesökt ställe. Levande musik när vi var där. Vi åt bara förrätter så kan ej uttala mig om maten. Tzatzikin var tyvärr lite smaklös och när jag beställde ”Pork tenderloin” fick jag kassler. Jag påtalade det men hon hävdade att det var rätt. (Pork tenderloin är fläskfilé). Det som också drar ner betyget är den höga ljudvolymen som uppstod pga musiken. Det var svårt att föra någon konversation då alla i lokalen försökte överrösta musiken och varandra.
