Okay food, terrible service. The bread served with the appetisers looked like store-bought. There are tastier options of Greek food in London. Every time our table got cleaned it felt that the waiter was going to kick me. But when you think of it, it does makes you feel in Greece.

Excellent Greek food and the price is reasonable.

Very disappointing. We went for a birthday celebration and felt the food was average/poor - nothing special at all and very expensive for the quality. Portions were mean too. My son and my mother had the prawns of which there were only about 4 and they were lacking in flavour. The roast potatoes were totally unappealing and cold - you only get 3 in a portion. In fact every dish we ordered was disappointing and lacking in flavour. Service was poor - it took 1/2 hour for our waiter to ask us for our order and he was rude and impatient. My parents are in their 80s and have been coming for years and remembered it fondly but our last experience was very different and none of us will go back again. When we arrived no one asked us if we wanted to hang our coats so my 85 year old mother went and found a place to hang hers up as it was too long to go on the back of her chair. At the end of the evening she went to get it but it had been moved and she spent the next 10 minutes trying to find it. She went to another section to look and another very rude waiter just barked at her “there’s nothing for you here - go and ask your waiter”! Unbelievable! Our waiter was useless of course since he didn’t take it in the first place - didn’t have the manners to ask if she wanted it hung up. There are so many far better restaurants and with so much competition it’s an incredible that Lemonia think they can rest on their laurels from the past.

All good, Been here many many times and each time the standard is consistently good. It gets better each time. Prices have gone up considerably but the food is so fresh and good quality nut is worth it!

Lovely busy Greek restaurant with the usual fair expected. No surprises but food excellent. Slightly dated interior still makes for a pleasant lunchtime experience.

Small portions, overpriced, nothing amazing about the food.

The prices suggest something quite special but unfortunately it didn’t even meet school dinner requirements. It was in anticipation that I brought my Father into Lemonia’s lovely atmosphere to say thankyou to him. They may need to raise their game in order for me to return. We said we were disappointed but it was received with a shrug. Maybe they just had an off night or maybe they’ve been resting on their laurels for all this time. Very disappointed!

Great cozy homey atmosphere and yummy food

Have been going to Lamonia for 30 years and recently went after a break of 2 years not going and was so disappointed. The food was terrible :( The vegetarian option of skewers were tastless and meagre and the salad was awful - it was like I was eating at a different restaurant. Won't return again sadly

I hate writing bad reviews, but, honestly, I would be angry if this food was served to me at a local kebab just before closing time on a Friday. My partner is vegetarian and the halloumi kebab she had was about as appetising as a funeral. We pointed this out to the waiter (older, so part of the family that run it) and he just shrugged and took the mostly-uneaten food away. Oh - and the salad! It didn't even cross our minds to try it, it was so plain. Honestly, it's like they were just phoning in the food. My partner said her family had been coming for decades - literally - but was mortified by how bad it was. It was my first and last visit.

The Lunch menu is stunning! Less than 20 for a 3 course lunch, food is delish, and service is just perfect. All recommendations

We've heard much about this place over years so excited to get there finally. Unfortunately found all dishes quite mediocre , not a patch on normal taverna food or home restaurants in Greece,,Cyprus, Poland or UK. Perhaps a different chef for lunchtimes but at their prices not worth trying again and being disappointed! Service friendly and good banter with different staff and location easy to park otherwise back to North London for our Greek meals!

Over priced. And I have seen many other typical greek restaurant much better in terms of taste and cheaper. I always wanted to visit here and booked a table over the phone yesterday and request a dessert with a simple candle to celebrate our anniversary, the booking taken by the lady and noted down. However, no candles or anything with our dessert... I saw in another table they were celebrating a birthday dessert with a candle provided etc... Short stroy long, I think, if you are not their typical customer who frequently visits them, then don't try them, as they wouldn't care much about you, but when it comes to charging, it is over priced completley for what you pay and what you get in quality for food and service. Waiteress are nice i should say, but food and overal service not that good.

Strange don’t get all the amazing reviews; was very average and rather overpriced. Calamari starter looked and tasted like it was out of a frozen supermarket bag and tiny portion. Chicken cubes were bland. Mousakka was nice but not even some complimentary salad leaves on the side.

A really nice, family feel, greek cypriot restaurant. The service is very good and the staff are always very pleasant and helpful. The food is to a high standard. I highly recommend ordering the meze.

My daughter, who has severe learning disabilities, and her two fabulous support staff dined this lunchtime. The support staff were appalled at the attitude of the staff at Lemonia. Rolling eyes, mono syllabic and judgemental at our daughter who makes some involuntary noises and needs extra help to eat. Diversity and inclusivity training urgently required before we will subject our daughter and her team to such treatment again.

Authentic Greek restaurant!!! Enjoyed it so much and felt like I was in a different country. Service is impeccable and food is fantastic especially with the meat - they are all so tender! Will definitely recommend and come back again

Not a 5 star, but the 4 I rated it it's a bit hard. Very tasteful authentic greek dishes, for example saganaki or fish or kleftiko. I visit it over the last 30 years. Miss a star to make it 5 , for two reasons. 1 when you serve 500+ people a day , it is difficult to keep the consistent quality . 2. Over the years the competition has intensify , on the quality and value for money. Probably the Best greek restaurant ,at least in North London.

Food was fine, staff members were nice.

I went with a group. We spent £30 each on the set lunch menu with wine or soft drink each. The portions of food were ok but not over generous. The food I had was fresh and good, not bought-in, mass produced stuff. However, I think a 3 course menu should be that, not 2 courses and a tea/coffee or a dessert.

A very nice Greek restaurant located in Chalk Farm. It's a high-end restaurant and you are looked after very well by the staff. The food was very tasty and prepared quickly, but portions were quite small, and the food is very expensive for what it is. A nice place to go if you can afford it, and I recommend it.

I had an incredible experience at this Greek restaurant! The food was absolutely authentic and packed with flavor – every dish was a delicious taste of Greece. Delicious food, friendly staff, atmosphere a la taverne.

I forgot how much I loved Greek food until I went in there. The Good News: Wonderful atmosphere (I especially loved the atrium room), great food, attentive service, and spacious. Within easy walking distance of Chalk Farm tube station. The Bad News: Of all the places along this stretch of road that serve olives 🫒 theirs have pits.

Great food and amazing service, we were a large group (22 people) so our table was on the top floor which has less of a character compared to downstairs. I'd recommend the downstairs area for dining as it's more lively and fun. We really enjoyed our dinner thank you!

Lovely staff. Very cosy and excellent food served with a simle. One of my fav spots for lunch.

Everything about this restaurant is perfect to a T. The staff were super friendly, giving off a family vibe, almost like being at your grandparents' house. The starters and bread were cozy and homey, too. The stars of the show were definitely the grilled sea bass and moussaka. We ended with cake and coffee. Would highly recommend this place!

Fantástico lugar en Primrose Hill que es una experiencia en sí mismo. La comida estaba bien, pero nada como la comida que experimentamos recientemente en Santorini. Sentado afuera, gran vibra, muy animado.

A fantastic restaurant. We had the £39 per person meze menu and the portions are extremely generous. You got a great selection of cold and hot plates, perfect if you can’t decide what you’d like to try. The wine was lovely and service quick and friendly. Extremely fresh flavours and ingredients and lovely atmosphere. I can imagine it would be a great place for a party or a large-ish group.

Whenever I come to London I always try to come to this restaurant. Proper Greek/Cypriot cuisine. The service and food were excellent. I was especially impressed when the waitress came to clear crumbs from each place setting in between courses. I’ve only ever seen that at a Michelin starred restaurant.

Very popular for good reason, but you can’t have a conversation without shouting to the person next to you, let alone anyone else.

This long established restaurant goes from strength to strength. It continous unabated to delver high quaility food and service week in week out hence why we have been regular customers for over 40 years as we love authntic Greek homemade cuisine.

Fabulous lunch, lovely waiter and shout out to the chef who on hearing my daughter hasn’t been well this week shared one of his recipes with me that she particularly enjoyed. Can’t wait to go back!

Had a birthday lunch here. The free starters (olives and carrots) were good but a bit too salty for my liking. The other starters we ordered were great too, especially the spicy feta dip when paired with pita bread. The grilled fish was cooked well, with nice crispy skin and a flaky inside. Tasted fresh too. The service was a bit slow. We had to wait 10-15min to get our bill and had to repeat ourselves a few times. Otherwise it was good - they brought a candle on the Turkish Delights they served.

As others have noted on here, this is a well known establishment which has existed for decades, and is very much dining out on this reputation. I concur with all the reviews about small portions, average food and exorbitant prices. Mezze starters for £8-12, where there is barely enough food for two people. You can get better hummus in the supermarket. Amazingly you have to pay extra for any bread to accompany it. A square of vegetarian moussaka for £25. House wine which is drinkable but very overpriced. The atmosphere was great and the location is unbeatable, but everything else is very much below par. It felt like a place where the owners are trying to sweat the asset as much as possible. You can have much better Turkish/Cypriot/Greek food on Green Lanes for a fraction of the price, with delicious freshly baked bread refilled to your hearts content and much more generous portions. I wish that was where we went!

This popular Greek restaurant is less than 5 minutes' stroll from Primrose Hill. It is always jam-packed on the weekends, and if the weather is good, the alfresco seating is definitely our preferred choice. The interior of the restaurant has great ambience. If you are lucky to have one of the long- serving staff, you get to experience impeccable service that is not commonly found in most restaurants. Our server, Alex, has been in the hospitality business for over 40 years with the last 20 + years working at Lemonia. He was observant, attentive, but never intrusive. An example was when I was squeezing the lemon slice from my starter into my water. He noticed it immediately despite the crowd and came with a plate of sliced lemons for our drinking water. You don't get such service even in a Michelin rated restaurant. We had their set lunch, which is available from Monday to Friday. It is one of the best value for money meals you can find in the neighbourhood. The baked orzo pasta with chicken and feta cheese was excellent. The Kotopoulo Yiouvetsi arrived at the table piping hot, crispy on the outside, and moist and creamy inside. Reservations are recommended, especially on the weekends.

The staff were 50/50 but then warmed up eventually, I think the food was definitely overpriced I know it’s in a gorgeous place in London but isn’t worth the price on the menu it was lovely don’t get me wrong but when your paying for a whole meal but are just getting one thing but then have to pay extra for sides it just isn’t worth it

Déjeuner sans réservation. Les prix peuvent paraître élevés quand on vient de France mais la qualité est là. Les entrées sont des petites assiettes garnies suffisamment sans trop. Il existe le midi une formule à 19,50 livres entrée plat dessert. Pour déjeuner avec les plats de la carte il faut prévoir un minimum de 40 euros. Mais je n'oublierai jamais leur tarama....

Brilliant service, food came out quickly, service was incredible. We actually ordered off the take out menu but they were kind enough to seat us and give us olives 🫒 it was just because they were quiet and they were so lovely to us. Had the take out chicken pita and you could tell it was freshly made from the chicken kebab to the pita bread itself.

The BEST Greek food I have ever eaten compared to any restaurant in the States. I was blown away by the quality and taste of food prepared here. If you're visiting, do not miss out on authentic Greek fare. Our waiter from Albania was personable with a wonderful sense of humor! Everything was fantastic at Lemonia and will return when we next visit the UK

Warm, inviting and busy. Kalamari: average, lightly fried, small portion. Lamb Shashlik: meat is tender, flavourful and moist. Broccoli: overcooked, extremely sad, boring. Service: okay, missed the wine order. Nice complimentary sweets (Loukoumi).

A great place to go for good food, if you are wandering about in Camden Town area in London. But book in advance - they seem to be always full, even on weekdays. Which is wholly understandable after one visit - their food is yummy -- with plenty on offer for vegetarians like me, they have a good stock of great wine, and their service is quick and good. And the apple pie is really tasty. The ambience is friendly, with just the right level of decibels so you can actually talk to your friends without getting hoarse! I doubt you can find a lot of other places to tuck in such good food at such a reasonable Londonian price! Strongly recommended. As I said, book early - otherwise you might find the table you want already taken by me!

I have used limonia and recommended this to my personal assistant. She arrived for a 4pm booking on Sunday and arrived at 3.50 she was not aware that this was the last booking for the day but she soon found out it was as they were rushed from start to finish and ordered their starter and had not even finished to be told at 4.11 pm can we bring your main course now. Whilst eating their main meal the staff were cleaning the floor with bleach which was overpowering their meal I will not be recommending your restaurant again

Extremely reasonable price for a three course meal in London! The sea bass was superb. Make sure to note if you have children to ask for smaller portions.

I used to live locally to here and was a regular. Sadly, now the service isn't what it once was, and as others have commented, the prices are very high.
