Bastante abundante y bastante barato.
I have been a loyal customer of this establishment since arriving at university at the beginning of this academic year. It was love at first sight - a place of warmth and happiness that would brighten up my often long and dreary days. There was one option on the menu in particular that kept me craving more, craving my sweet sweet fix, coming back to Gordon’s day after day. It was more than a mere sandwich - it was a lifestyle, the closest I could get to that scene in Ratatouille where the mean food critic has a flashback to his childhood, a diamond in the rough. The Serrano ham and salsa Rosa focaccia. I salivate just typing that sentence. Upon my return in term 2, the first day back, I bounded up the steps of Gordon’s at lunch time to grab myself some of the luscious nectar. BUT NO!!! in the place of where my baby had so gently rested, an ugly and deformed impostor now lay. A ham hock and onion chutney focaccia??? Seriously? It is absolutely vile. I voiced my dismay time after time to the staff, begging them to return my sandwich, but to no avail. This is my last resort. Please TripAdvisor, help me get this sandwich back. I am willing to go to any length.
I love Itsu (please come to York!) and so take advantage when I am down in London for work to go not only for light lunches but also sometimes a lighter evening meal. This branch I have used a couple of times for lunch and enjoy it. It is quite large compared to some of the others
This place is operated by the same owners as Drake's Tabanco, which was on this site before Tapas 44. I haven't visited Tapas 44 but I thought the following might be relevant to potential customers:
I was one of many who got food poisoning at Drake's Tabanco and the owners responded to our case extremely inadequately and unfriendly. I have never been treated in such a way in these kind of situations. We made sure to alert potential customers on tripadvisor (feel free to visit the old Drake's Tabanco review page on TA for more information) and I assume that was one of the reasons why they now renamed the restaurant.
Be aware!
The signs to show the lines need to be bigger, when the store is filled with clients you can't really see it from afar.
When you're a new customer, you feel a bit lost because of it. We only went there to get some sweets, since we're not fans of bubble teas.
The an-pans had a weird texture ? We're used to brioche dough filled with red bean paste, not with mochi dough in-between. The melon-pan was very sugary.
Service was quick but we won't go there again for sweets.
Tristemente no. No voy a volver
Andreas ha existido durante muchos años, pero ahora se ha modernizado y se ha renovado. El nombre ha cambiado pero aún es un muy buen griego en la calle Charlotte y lo recomendaría.
The OG Hakkasan offered a truly fantastic experience, boasting delectable cuisine and an energetic atmosphere. The lively, upbeat music created a perfect ambience for a memorable night out. While the prices were somewhat elevated, the exceptional flavours more than compensated. It was a truly vibrant spot to savour high-quality food. It's incredibly sad to hear that they are closing down, as it was a unique and enjoyable venue.
Servicio rápido, comida sabrosa, buena experiencia. No hay necesidad de ir a Chinatown para conseguir sabrosa comida china. Servicio al cliente educado.
I've never encountered a Pad Thai where the primary taste was nothing but salt. Seriously like mouthfuls of salt. If a Thai restaurant can get something as simple as a Pad Thai so wrong I can only imagine what their other dishes taste like. I won't be coming back to check.
