Nice little local pub. Was friendly when I visited.

Great local chinese place, great value they really stuff the food into the boxes! They are also super quick to make it (ordering for 2 people). We really like the vegetarian options, generous amount of tofu and genuinely tasty and fresh food with a good variety of veg. King prawn dishes also great, plenty of prawns. Havent tried the meat but there's lots of that too ofc! We like that you can order a healthy takeaway here with plenty of veg which is nice to pair with the chips!! 😆

A lovely old pub, great manager and staff, good friendly atmosphere and a great selection of beers. Dog friendly too.

Tall and light brown skin barista lady was so rude and service hella slow. Don’t bother. What a joke. She was super slow and hasn’t got a clue how to operate or run the place although she looked like someone senior. Hire someone who can actually manage

This is our go yo place and has been since 1998. The food is of the highest standard and a good portion. The staff are swift, efficient and friendly. The place is clean and a welcoming environment. We usually have Tandoori or Tikka Chicken and occasionally a Chicken Korma. Over the years, l have tried most of the dishes, and they are all perfect.

Best curry sauce I’ve tried, not too much spice but not too little. Best cheese chips, they’re crunchy on the outside and soft inside. Very friendly staff too.

The Sunday lunch roast chosen by four of our party of six arrived luke warm, tasteless and all pre-prepared nothing was cooked fresh. All quite disgusting. Kids meals were inedible. Chicken nuggets hard and over cooked. Jacket potato cold. Absolutely awful

I ordered the lamb biryani, and it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were perfectly balanced, the lamb was tender and cooked to perfection, and the portion size was generous. The quality and taste truly stood out. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic and flavorful food!”

Ordered a takeaway from here last night after just moving to the area, and we couldn’t have been happier! The food was absolutely delicious, arrived quickly, and the person on the phone was super friendly and gave us great recommendations. My whole family was thrilled with the meal. If you’re in Welwyn, I highly recommend giving them a try!

UPDATE - the response you see below is clearly to try and save face as this is in the public domain. 6 months has passed and despite multiple calls and emails to the email address Doug details below. We have not received our refund. Doug is a scammer. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. Me and my family had a stay booked in May but unfortunately had to cancel because the restaurant was due to be closed due to a change in owner days before our trip. We were promised a refund, several emails and phone calls to the owner, Doug, who each time sweet talked me and told me he was going to transfer the money. It has been 2 months now and I still have not received my money back. It is clear I have been done over and fobbed off so unfortunately we are now having to pursue a case with the small claims court. We were planning on visiting later this year but definitely won't be now, customers lost. By the looks of things we aren't the only ones who have had this type of treatment!

Should be closed down for good and the people who want especially the managers are very selfish and Horrible.
