Called in on a Sunday lunch time having not booked and was shown to a table by Catherine who proceeded to give us time to look at the menu and supplied us with chilled water. Catherine was very attentive without being pushy, very professional and extremely polite. Would we go again ? Absolutely without question. 5*

A guy was pro labour and didn't think that people abused children. He also thought that Hindley was not guilty. He hates Trump and the tories and Reform party. I was told to take my views somewhere else. But the pub is nice and normally friendly.

We just ended up being fleeced for a service charge of 5.50!!! On top of £3 extra side dishes on 13.95 each set menu night. This place used to be 12.95 and got so much more included. Just got home to Diarrhea and sickness. Never again here AVOID. Like so many other restaurants in stevenage old town now they ripping you off.

Their shakes are absolutely amazing, so tasty and good for the prices. Only let down at the minute is the timings on the door for their opening hours are wrong and so on google it may say they are open but when turn up it is locked??

So I left my dog outside, went in, ordered my coffee, and then asked for a Puppaccino. One of the staff asked where my dog was. When I told her he was outside, she mentioned I could bring him in, which was wonderful. He got a lot of fuss from the staff and other customers, so they completely made our morning.

Have had food from here on numerous times with items missing, orders wrong but though just I more go.... Ordered large Kofte and the meat came charred on the outside and raw in the inside, called amd all I got was a we will send replacement meal no apologies... last time for me!!!

I frequent this pub regularly and find myself getting very frustrated with the bar staff? I believe it’s not entirely the faults of the actual staff but the management. On 8th Nov I was in the pub around 4;30 pm and it wasn’t that busy . The first trip to the bar was reasonably acceptable with a member of staff really trying hard to serve the customers but I noticed another 2 staff chatting most of the time When I went back around 5 ish there was obviously new staff arriving as it was quite evident one member could not sign into the till. At this point there was only myself and one other at the bar. The person trying to sign in then asked one of the staff to help which is acceptable but this escalated to around 5 people alll congregating around the till including the manager, this went on for 10 mins until I finally said “ can I ask why it takes 5 of you guys to sort a till out while we are ( now 6 ) people waiting for service as the other tills are working? With this one of the staff immediately came over and went to serve me. Then the manager came over and said “ I don’t like your attitude ! Can you please leave ? I was amazed as I did not swear , I did not shout, I just asked a direct question after standing watching this fiasco for over 10 mins. Obviously I left but did say to the manager now I can see why your Wetherspoon’s is so low on the list of Weatherspoon in the UK. I won’t be going back as it just stresses out the customers. I will point out whilst I was waiting I was within 6 feet of all the staff around the till and at no point in 10 mins did anyone look up and say sorry for the delay or even make any eye contact, it was just as if we were a pain in the arse asking to get served.

Really lovely pizzas and excellent customer service :) I couldn’t park so the gentleman kindly brought the pizzas to my car at the back of the shop 😃

The place is quite beautiful: a very elegant and charming place. Service is quite good (well-manered albeit too slow) even on a very busy evening. Wine list is interesting and nice, with special offers on well chosen items (a very decent Bandol that evening), But, food… not quite what it should be. It is poor and not matching expectations. Too few ingredients. Frugal and stingy wishes in every ways. Flavours too vague. No shape, no sharpness. In other words: lots of room for improvement. Yet not an awful evening at all but not sure I’ll go there to eat again—having drinks is nice and good enough.

We ordered a pizza for a Sunday evening and was excited when seeing 5minutes after ordering online it was on its way, or so we thought... 15minutes later we were left wondering where our food was, knowing it would likely be cold. We called them only to be told Call back in five minutes. Another 25minutes had passed and Calling them again was told to wait even further. Eventually 10minutes more out neighbour knocked on out door to say they were handed a delivery at our entry door. To our Frustration we checked the food only to have our fears become reality, the Food was cold and NOT fit for human consumption The horror was that this was a MEAT pizza and Chicken bites and the temperature was far below the safe levels. After contacting to request a Refund we was told that the manager was not there and to call back after 5minutes. Calling again we were told they needed to contact the driver first to hear what they had to say. Getting the run around at this point It was clear because it was my wife on the phone they were taking liberty thinking she would get bored and not bother chasing further. When we called again to repeat the request for a refund, we was told the manager had yet again left the premises and was unavailable please call again in 5minutes. ABSOLUTELY fuming at this point I expressed how poor the service was, epressed how unprofessional the manager was for leaving the premises without the ability to refund complaints. I wonder if the franchisee knows how poor this looks on Their business. The last communication I had I was told I would get a call in 5minutes, THIS has not happened I will continue to write poor reviews and recommend NO ONE uses them again, absolutely disgusting service.
