Papa Johns in Stevenage

Absolute waste of time. Arrived at the Stevenage Papa John's at 10.40pm, front door wide open but nobody at the sales counter. Called for service, no answer. Waited for 5 minutes, still no answer. Saw an employee in the kitchen, called again and knocked on the window. Completely ignored. Knocked again and he begrudgingly came to the sales counter. Told me that he wasn't taking anymore orders and was closing at 10:45hrs. The website clearly states 11:00pm. He clearly couldn't be bothered. Never again, I'll spend my money elsewhere.

We ordered 30 pizzas for our children for SATS and Abdul gave us an amazing service. The food was on time and sizzling hot! He was incredibly supportive and helpful and our children loved the pizza. Thank you from all the year 6 children at Giles junior school. We can't wait to use you again next year!

Well, what can I say. Go on line, place order, pay by PayPal. 1hour goes by no pizza, phone them, it’s on its way, 1 hours later still no pizza, phone them, car broke down, another diver it’s on its way. Nearly 3 hours later still no pizza order. Now they won’t answer the phone. Never again order from papa Johns. 😡😡😡😡

We have just ordered pizza. It took over an hour to come. The side of potatos was cold, uncooked and frankly disgusting. The pizzas were both nice

Very slow service. Been waiting for 1hr and a half and still no pizza. What are they doing?? Joke service. There only compromise was a free large pizza on next order which frankly isn’t good enough

This has to be the WORST papa johns I have ever come across. Delivery is unbearably slow 1hr 26min. You call them they let it ring off the hook until you eventually get “sorry this person cannot answer right now” and get cut off. The food is sloppy at best, we had deserts in the same box as chicken poppers! I mean what kind of monster does that?! Cinnamon chicken? Yeah, no thanks!

Hello there ... I’m merely a handsome young man who simply adores pizza. I started off young and.l tried a few different chains before falling in love with papa johns. A few years ago a young Asian couple .. mid thirties ruined the Stevenage branch and left a sour taste in my mouth. Excuse the pun .. but on a serious note the male half of this partnership kept having his hands down his trousers and had an aggressive negative attitude to deal with. This would put anyone off even someone who is addicted to p to the j’s ( papa johns ) .... my love dwindled and myself .. my Nan and mother stopped actually going in store and only ordered online dude to the rudeness and unprofessionalism. HOWEVER ... BOOOOOM! They’re back! ... sincerely in the last two years .. new fresh polite staff have taken over and work their , and my love and quantity of pizza orders have gone up a 100 fold , literally , I spent two and a half grand on pizzas last year from p to the j’s alone! This is due to a few of the handsome polite Asian staff , by the way who all have bloody annoyingly incredible teeth, but is prom-dominantly down to one person, Glenn.. I think that’s his name .. he’s a manager at the Stevenage branch , very very polite , caring .. articulate enough to understand and help with a problem .. and he remembers your orders personally. Also , I know staff have bad days like everyone but even if he was having a bad day, He and his staff will always smile on entrance and make You feel relaxed and happy .. which is brilliant and professional . I genuinely now return to order in the shop a lot more than phone and many other people will be told and shown by me. Including my mother and nan , I would of taken my previous previous girlfriend, but now she’s an X ... simply and solely because she doesn’t like pizza. You can be beautiful all you like... but if you don’t like medium pizza with pepperoni green chilliest sweet corn Italian sausage and a sour cream dip ... THEN SEE YOU LATER PRETTY LADY! 😉 P.s Glenn the manager even threw in a few pepperonchinis into my box which are bloody lovely! Thank you , and people .. please go and enjoy great service and great pizzas ! Hallios maximum the third! .... 👍🏾

Papa Johns are the masters of sides and that garlic butter sauce needs to be in bottles! Sadly their Pizza's are well below average. For me Papa's sides and Asda Pizza Counter Pizza's would be a match in heaven (and cheaper).

Two delicious pizzas arrived bang on time, and piping hot, by a friendly and helpful driver. Some decent deals available when ordering online.

Staggered by some of the poor reviews on here although they do seem to be from a couple of years ago. We find this to be easily the best pizza delivery operation in Stevenage, we used to use Dominos but this is superior. I had an extra extra large thin base with sausage, red onion, white onion and chilli (create your own) and it was delicious and delivered within 15 minutes on a Wednesday night at around 6pm. Recommended..

Ordered for the first time - 45 mins go by and no pizza - I call and ask how long will be they say sorry we have a 20 min delay- I say that’s great but what time will you be here - then he says manager cutting now so half hour !! I live 5 mins from store !! Hour later - we are still waiting . Will stick to dominos or Pizza Hut from Now on

Ordered 3 large pizzas All arrived within time quoted- and all hot Great pizza 👍 everyone happy - and full !

So instead of sorry we didn’t have the brownies gave you cinnamon dessert I got “ well I did try to call you twice and you didn’t pick up”. Honestly?

When this first opened I ordered the papa’s favourite and enjoyed it. One day I ordered it and it didn’t have the Italian seasoning on it, so phoned and complained, and they seemed surprised when I asked them to send out another one. The next FOUR times I ordered it the same thing happened. Hopeless. Given up now.

I prefer to create my own which is a reasonably easy thing to do using the app but the one thing that bugs me is that it always defaults back to original base when I want thin crust. That aside, it was another delicious pizza from Papa Johns, my tip is to get your oven hot and put some slices in for a minute when you open the box as it crisps the base and improves the experience. Italian sausage, red onion, chilli and green pepper. 👍

Anyone these days who pays full price for Pizza is a fool. I just wish these places would lower their prices rather than bombard us with deals.

Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion, that’s what these sites are about but some seem a bit odd to me. We too have been using PJ’s for a few years after realising they’re better than Domino’s.

Poor customer service, no applogy after waiting an hour for delievery. Delivery driver was reving his car back and forth on the street outside before he discided where the house was. Never Again!

Absolutely disgusted with the way I've been treated after being a customer for years and tolerating below average food on several occasions without saying a word. Food took over an hour and arrived cold. When I told the delivery driver he handled the food inside the box and stated "it isnt cold!" When I called to request a refund a member of staff who was pretty rude passed himself off as a manager and told me I had to email for a refund! An hour or so later the real manager calls me and is full of apology (realised how much I spend there), I explained I won't be eating there again and could my refund be processed as soon as possible. The imbecile then sends someone round an hour later 8:45 pm who proceeds to bang the front door, ring the bell several times and wakes my baby up!!!!!!!! An entire evening ruined by these t^&*%$

Well it would appear the managers new policy is not to deliver to SG2 postcodes in stevenage. That is half the town. We live just a 3 mile drive to the store but as of January they will no longer deliver that distance as part of the managers new policy. Well thats pizza night ruined im sure im now one of the masses ordering from dominos. Good luck woth a business model that excludes half your town!

Ordered food via just eat not delivered, called to cancel and ask for refund hung up phone on me, visited earlier today left contact details for manager to contact me he didn't , visited again tonight this guy was pointed out as the manager and also said he was the manager when I ask why he hadn't called me he said he was told that I was coming to see him (why would I leave my contact details if I was coming to see him ?) his response was to start rowing with me, good customer service this, then he denied the order came through on the terminal from just eat funny that, just eat sent me an email saying the restaurant has added an extra 1/2 hr to my delivery time???? Liar when asked for his name he said it was Imran Shah and he was only the supervisor more lies, do not use the customer service is rubbish and I will be taking this further with papa johns Imran Shah if that is your real name.

Ordered online & always b4 it's arrived within 30 mins. Not TODAY. It took 2 phone calls & 1 hour & 30 mins to arrive. Apparently short staff. Pizza was warm NOT HOT but was nice flavour. Lady on phone apologetic for delay. Prehaps they need to change the online ordering service & app to specify how long delivery will be.

Popped in to order and collect food. Good service by friendly waitress. Good order came quickly. Great food, really tasty with good size portion. Would recommend.

Ordered online and asked for bbq base, pizza came with a ton of bbq sauce all over the pizza as a topping instead of the base. Also the crust was so doughy that we were full after a couple slices. Sides were good tho just a shame about the actual pizza. Not sure if this place is a franchise as have had better pizzas from other papa John's before. Will stick to Pizza Hut!

I ordered on line, the food was with us within 20 minutes. We can recommend "the works" and the pepperoni. It was delicious and amazing service, we will tell everyone!

Ordered a delivery on line, arrived 15 minutes early, piping hot, and as always, delicious. Can thoroughly recommend the Hot Pepper Passion, unbeatable in my opinion. Order with confidence.
