We had an amazing time. everything was perfect! The Sweet Chili Chicken was absolutely delicious!! The Smash Beetroot was a standout as well.. and Adana Beyti was my favourite as a main course.. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

I visited here earlier in the year and visited again today ( New Years Eve ) This is a lovely cafe. The coffee is good. I wanted a light lunch and had a mildly spiced chicken and mozzarella roll. The roll had a crispy sesame seed topping. It was served with a small side salad. My partner had a plain chicken and cheddar roll which was nice. It had carrot cake as well I noticed. Give it a try - you won’t be disappointed.

We were very lucky to get a table here for brunch. One full English breakfast, one wrap , one mushrooms on the best toast. Juices and milk, fresh orange juice was lovely. Lots of staff V busy place Will return !

Very fast, precise and friendly service. The location is clean and tidy, but I wasn't impressed, a bit anonymous... The idea of the tapas is interesting, the dishes in general were all good, however: the sweet peppers were a very small portion, and had a similar cost to other tapas, whose portions were larger. In the plate of serrano cheeses and jamon, only 2 slices of serrano, also cold from the fridge. Some diners took the paella and didn't find it excellent... Good but nothing special. Other tapas were good though. In short, ups and downs on food. Having not tried many other places in the area, I don't know whether to honestly recommend it. However, I can tell you that it was recommended to me by those who often go to Stevenage...

Ordered cod roe chips and a battered sausage which was enemic batter was under cooked. Cod Roe was soggy under cooked and an inedible mess. Chips were obviously pre cooked and reheated . Won't be visiting this chippy again . Poplars is much better quality all round. (Picture proof attached)

Ordered a delivery which came quickly and hot. Unfortunately, the sticky rice we ordered for £4.50 wasn't even enough to feed one person let alone three. From other places we only ever need to order one rice portion and we have plenty left over. Not so here. We are now having to cook our own rice so we can start our dinner.

We come to Stevenage a few times a year for an event and always eat here or get a takeaway. Can't recommend highly enough tasty food and good portions Jerk Chicken has the right heat and the boneless curry goat is really tender. We don't eat before we get to Stevenage now just save ourselves up! Had a takeaway delivered to our hotel today and it was awesome 👌

Ok, i was being lazy and thought i'd skip cooking and head to Fishermans Wharf Chippy and have a hostage in batter and chips. Errrr no.. sorry i mean "sausage in batter" ! (Kier Starmer would understand. easy mistake to make). The time was around 5:30pm and relevant. Firstly, the young fair haired lad serving was friendly, polite and keen to take my order. The sausage in batter was really nice, mainly due to the batter. It was crisp and tasty and not chewy and greasy tatsting as they often can be in any chippy, we all know and accept that about them. This really was a nice surprise, 4 Stars for the sausage ! The chips though.. They were withered, dry, chewy, overdone and tasted old, I am not saying they were but they tasted AS IF they were left over from lunch time and then re-fried for early evening customers. That was my impression and my first thought. The owner states otherwise and blamed it on seasonal potatoe availability and that he doesn't open lunchtime mon-fri so how... My thoughts on this given i was there 5.30pm that perhaps they were left over from the night before heaven fobid !! Just my opinion, just rubbish.
