Golden Siam Thai Restaurant in Stevenage

As a Previously happy customer. who brings people to, and recommends this place, frequently, I am so very Disappointed with the last few visits.... - Price increases: I understood and accepted. Expenses increase we know that. - Portion reduction... This should be instead of price increases, not as awell as, but, OK - 1 visit we were brought wrong food & server told us its what they wrote down so we are both wrong not them!!!.... Not impressed, but we had cinema booked so ate it anyway. Another Tiime: - we booked a table and manager just gestured vaguely towards some empty tables at far end of room. "There are some empty tables over there"... Poor Service. - My Female guest was then handed menu and told "take this" with her to the table. Unacceptable! .... he then turned away and started talking to next customers. I really hope this was just a few "off days", and this kind of poor service doesnt spread to the rest of the staff, who have always been happy, attentive and fgiven great service with a smile even on the busiest nights. Good service is important when you are paying to eat out! There are many options for quality food now, so good service is ESSENTIAL if you want to keep customers coming back.

I visited this restaurant for a catch up over dinner with my friends. This isn’t the first time I’ve been and I wanted to leave a nice review as the food is always fantastic and freshly cooked. They do a lunch offer for £13.50 for two courses and a drink which is great value and always delicious.. The servings are generous and the ingredients are always fresh and well cooked , I highly recommend this really friendly and restaurant if you are looking to go for a Thai meal in the old town Stevenage the staff are always so friendly and helpful too.

Been here on many occasions when visiting the area on business and the food is always exceptional! Would highly recommend to anyone! The Tom Yum soup with seafood is phenomenal!

Just had yet another excellent meal in the Golden Siam. Really tasty authentic dishes made with fresh ingredients. Service was excellent and our food came out hot and quickly even on a busy Saturday night.

This is a lovely resturant. The food and the service were really good. I liked that the waitress drew a little map of our table on her note pad and filled in the orders on it so that the knew who had asked for what. I had a really good evening. The only problem was that it cost about 30% more than I pay for comparable meals at other resturants locally. I eat out quite a bit round here and I have never had to pay that much for it before, even now this inflation is baked in.

Just back from a lunch for my Mum's b'day - 6 of us. Barry and his team were fantastic. As we had a couple of the party who weren't keen on spicy food, he talked us through the lunch menu (excellent value at £13.50 for a starter, main and drink incl alcohol) so they chose egg fried rice options. We brought a cake with us which they were very happy to serve as dessert and really made a lovely fuss of the birthday girl! If you're trying to choose between this Thai in Stevenage Old Town or Sala Thong, then I would say that the curries here don't seem as hot - for us, that was perfect today.

Excellent service and very flavourful⁵ tasty food. Food was hot and excellent value. The best Thai food I have had and will definitely return.

I'd been wanting to visit Golden Siam for ages and decided my birthday meal with family was the perfect ocassion to finally give it a try! We were not disappointed - we had the warmest of welcomes, great service and the food was impeccable! Everything was piping hot and full of flavour. It was a struggle to pick what we wanted to eat as everything on the menu sounded great so I will definitely be back in the near future to try some more options! Thank you for a lovely evening.

We've visited this restaurant several times and always had good service and excellent food. The menu has a wide selection of choices and everything we have had has been tasty.

Oh wow what a find everything cooked fresh so flavourful and fragrant this was the best tom yum i ve had in this country by a long shot. If your in stevenage give them a try you wont regret it.

Wish I'd discovered this place sooner. Ate here first time yesterday and liked it so much I came back the next day. First day, had the duck spring rolls, then the Penang curry both were excellent . The following day had chicken satay follwed by a beef stir fry which was pretty spicy with quite a bit of chilli in it. Again both very tasty. Treated myself to the homemade coconut ice cream which was amazing. I've been coming to Stevenage for about 7 or 8 years now with work and this is the best 2 meals I've had while I've been here.

The selection of food and setting is excellent. Service is very good. Would recommend for Gluten free food options. Just the best I have had in stevenage.

This is the first time we have been to this restaurant and it was really lovely. The food was excellent and one of the best Thai meals we’ve had in a long time. The flavours were delicious and good portions too. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

This restaurant has been open since 2021. We have been coming here since then having previously frequented the Sala Thong. The food here just keeps getting better . We have just got back from Asia and the food here is as good or better than anything we had while away. The service is very good we all agreed it is the best eating experience in Stevenage . The sizzling grilled river prawns are amazing and we recommend all the different curries. Last night was a Tuesday and it was very busy so you may need to book.

First time visit as was visiting with friends in Stevenage, I went with the the Tom Yum Soup and a tranditional Thai Green Curry, both were very Nice, Staff were excellent and attentive and quick service. Highly Recommanded
