Tea Cosy Cafe in Stevenage

Lovely grub, with plenty of food choice. It all came up nice and hot. Looking forward to another visit.

Bom dia, buenos Dias. Good morning, god morgon, hyvää päivää, guten morgen. Been using this beautiful traditional British café for a few times now. From early morning coffee, made with a smile and fresh ground beans. Served with two toasts ladened to the brim with the scrumptious spread they call marmite, for lunch I had lamb chops, chips and garden peas. I forgot to add gravy to my chips but there was no problem getting this added once I was served. This place is a gem, excellent people, serving people in an excellent community. Pop in and you might hear a story or two.

Always a pleasure to eat here. Great food, reasonably priced. The staff are always polite and friendly.

didn't fancy a hotel breakfast so popped across the road in the precinct and found a gem .. Good service and good food.. hit the spot

Been here a few times recently when staying in Stevenage, great hangover cure place lol, always clean and the service is so friendly, been served by 3 different ladies all been so nice. Food is a good price for nowadays (cheaper than hotel breakfast and you’re not told you have to have it by 10am!).

A proper cafe! Who also make a proper cup of tea. Rare these days. Lovely breakfast to cure a hangover and really reasonably priced too. We will be back!

Always a pleasure to visit the Tea Cosy. Excellent choice of breakfast - my favorite includes fried bread, bubble and squeak and black pudding. And the liver, bacon and onion lunch is wonderful. For others of a different palate there are prawn mayonnaise and egg mayonnaise rolls, or salads. Always a warm welcome from Garry.

Lovely place to have breakfast . Clean, good service, friendly staff and freshly cooked breakfast . Even asked how we wanted it cooked.

Really nice friendly atmosphere where we were made to feel welcome. It may not be "posh dining" but the food was fresh and cooked as we waited and not being kept warm by heaters. We will be going back. Unfortunately was unable to offer gluten free food, so maybe a watch out for anyone with this allergy.

Service was loverly and the waitress Mel was a delight to be served by. She made the start of a friends day out a happy and cheerful one. Will definitely come back again.

My wife and I eat here often, the food is always so fresh. The staff are efficient and friendly, we have never had an upset tummy, and considering this is a "greasy spoon cafe" the food is quite light. Always pleased with our meal, we heartily recommend 👌

Stopped in here for burger & chips, staff extremely nice, tables clean & good variety of food on the menu of breakfast & main meals, sandwiches & desserts. Good choice of hot & col drinks. Very good burger & chips, salad in burger, very tasty & great price. Highly recommend for a bite

Omelette and fry ups are great here but just had the egg mayo roll and had to go outside as I thought I might throw it up. Too much mayo egg was sliced and just disgusting.

Tasty breakfast, prices are around £7-10 for including a cup of tea.

Pathetic!!. Bought one set breakfast and one egg on toast. Coffee came with set breakfast and got a milk shake to go with the egg on toast, although really the coffee was to go with the egg on toast and the milk shake was to go with the set breakfast. Rumbled! Bloke behind the counter saw us swap drinks so charged extra for the milk shake as its extra to have with a set breakfast. We are all struggling to make ends meet mate.! After many years of being a regular for my breakfast, never again will I set future in that place.

Smashing people and owner, smashing food , just one litte thing the sausages not a great taste little like perfume taste.please change them for a better tasting sausage ,

I absolutely love this place, the food (full English breakfast) are out of this world. They have such a good range of dishes to choose from, but I always have a fry up. My son loves their milkshakes and so do I!! The place is ALWAYS clean and staff are nice and friendly 5star!!!

Coffee and scrambled egg was OK, but the wife had a jam roll poly with custard.It was actually a Swiss roll,tiny too,probably about 15p worth.We took it back.

Food is always hot & fresh, served quickly but no condiments on the table now & after my order arrived had to ask for cutlery, salt & sauce. I was there at 3pm & was the only customer present.
