Duncan's in Stevenage

The guy said to me tonight we nearly shut but still had my order. Everytime me and my partner order here we are not dissapointed! Quality high quantity good service and taste off the charts! I am not from stevenage and this is the best place for chicken wraps in my opinion.

This is the third chicken meal we haved had the first was lovely and piping hot, second and third was cold, the chips stayed in a ball shape when tipped out onto plate, chicken was very small and under cooked had pink/ red meat which we didn't eat , beans thick & dry and cold. Certainly won't be recommending to anyone.

Not impressed with there customer services ! First time ordering food told me 45 mins waited 1 hour and 45 mins . Second time booking takeaway chicken was told 45 mins and it’s took nealy 2 hours so far . Called them up and they reall need to learn some customer service. Quite rude . Would recommend you use another chicken shop !

I had take away meal, chicken and chips, live only 5 minutes away by time got home the paper bags and boxes were swimming in oil...tasted the chicken..its under seasoned and was so oily. Put all in the bin.

First impressions of Duncan's are overwhelmingly positive once you seek it out in the secluded parade of shops behind the Almond Tree pub (there's a little sign on Lonsdale Road to help you). It's spick and span and spotless, nicely designed and with a layout that is calculated to make it easy for young families to pop in - not just the welcoming play area in the corner, but the spacious arrangement of tables that make it easy for pushchairs and toddlers to get about. The menu is mainly traditional cafe (there's a Sunday lunch sitting for roastie fans which looks a real bargain) and the coffee ticked our boxes. The welcome was warm and chatty and helped overcome a lack of punters - passing trade is going to be a problem here, and when we dropped by for an early lunch only two other tables were occupied. Given that customers were in such short supply, two pretty simple orders - tuna jacket and chicken burger - should really have been on the table far quicker than was the case. When the long wait was finally over, the quality was excellent although the salad garnish could be a little more expansive - shredded iceberg and carrot and a few slices of tomato is a bit dull, although the beetroot slaw was a welcome touch. Good luck to the team involved, all the foundations are in place as long as the customers come - and they can cope with the rush.

Fantastic, clean and safe play area for toddlers and older. Really good, tasty, locally sourced food. Very friendly and professional staff. We will definitely be back again Only downside was that two of my 6 breakfast items (poached eggs and mushrooms) were cold. The person on the table next to me politely complained for the same reason and same items and the issue was quickly sorted and the staff apologised. I had already eaten mine by this point. Everyone else on my table had hot food, no problems, but hadn't had the poached eggs or mushrooms.

I found this cate bright with cheerful staff and really good food and very reasonably priced , enjoyed it all , leaving a clean plate. Highly recommend . Even had a play area for small children. So much thought trying hard to please all family requirements. Can’t fault it, well done.

Gave Duncan’s a first try today and it won’t be the last. Good food well prepared and presented by very helpful staff.

I have been here quite a few times this year as it’s close to where I live. It’s a really lovely place, food is excellent quality and really reasonably priced. They have a kids corner with toys and a tv which is such a lovely touch. The staff are really polite and friendly and I will definitely be returning! One little idea would be to have a few snacks to buy for kids: fruit, little packs of biscuits, fruit shoots as I think mums would find that useful!

Been a few times with friends. The food is really lovely. The place is clean and fresh, the service is friendly. The children also really enjoyed it. We will definitely be regulars here and look forward to trying the Sunday roasts when they begin! Excellent addition to Stevenage!
