The best restaurants in South Norfolk East of England

We've been visiting the Waveney River Centre Inn for 20 years, and it just gets better. This summer, we've been many times and the new specials menu is a welcome addition. Yesterday we had the salmon & prawn linguine, sitting on the sunny terrace overlooking the beautiful marshes. Heaven. Great value food and wine, fabulous setting, lovely friendly welcoming staff. See you again later this week!

All 6 of us had a lovely piece of fish each. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Thoroughly recommended.

Other than the other reviews of bad food, up to a year ago, I never had a problem with them to be fair, but... about 6 months ago, my mum came to visit, and she collected a pizza...it was not a freshly made base, and was more like a Lidl pizza base (trust me I know) But the reason for this review, is the ridiculously high prices they charge now, which has totally priced me out of using them ever again, it's like a tenner for a small kebab (£3 more than other local kebab shops) kids meals are like £8.50....its actually cheaper to eat at a sit down restaurant. If the prices were in accordance to quality and local businesses, I may reconsider.

Kebab meat is 2nd grade meat this is no authentic kebab shop, the only good side was the chips were actually decent for the establishment. Get some good meat and would be great

Evening takeaway lovely food we had sweet and sour chicken balls with vegetable stir fry . Pleasant couple. Very satisfied.

Went into this place .. she hole .. be warned ... do not go unless you want to catch something.... dirty filthy place .. broken windows etc

Good, well-cooked Chinese food in very generous portions. Polite, friendly service and easy, free parking nearby after 18.00. Very impressed. I was welcomed and served quickly. I will use the Golden Dragon takeaway regularly from now on.

Lovely visit to a lovely pub. We did the Big Dog Ferry and stopped at Geldeston Lock for a couple of hours. Very helpful and friendly staff. Food was quick to order and arrive and was lovely. We both had an all day breakfast (mine was vegetarian). I really liked that the menu is so flexible for vegetarians and vegans in particular.

Visited The Cherry Tree with 3 friends on Tuesday. we each had our vans/motorhomes with us, so phoned ahead. Such a friendly and welcoming pub. Julie and Roger are great hosts - Julie also cooked us fabulous food. Dog friendly too! We will visit again. Thank you Julie and Roger!

Food was awful, decor was tacky, and the wait staff were the only saving grace. It's a shame that the management seemed like awful people who kept treating the waiters horrendously. Wouldn't be surprised if they were the type to steal tips

first time ordering. Ok so ordered about 9:40pm and they closed at 10pm. Pizza arrived on time. That's the only good thing I can say! Pizza base not fully cooked and tasted like cooked on a nearly cooled BBQ grill. The tomato base, cold and thick! The vegetables ( sweet corn and pineapple!) Well lots of pineapple not really warm! Not worth the money, WOULD NEVER ORDER AGAIN. Will keep with Istanbul instead!

Beautiful bit of fish and foods generally 4eally good but the delivery times suck nearly 2hrs everything I've ordered
