Golden Dragon in South Norfolk

Good, well-cooked Chinese food in very generous portions. Polite, friendly service and easy, free parking nearby after 18.00. Very impressed. I was welcomed and served quickly. I will use the Golden Dragon takeaway regularly from now on.

Just moved to new house here, firstly that delivered free, secondly we ordered Singapore chow main with extra spice heat, it was 100 % delicious! Singapore rice and chicken sweet n sour was good, but star of the show was the chow mein. We will return.

Food: By far the best Chinese I've had.... period. Food is always hot, delicious and there is always plenty left for breakfast (Don't judge me). Service: Service is excellent here. The takeaway remembers its regular customers. They are always friendly and polite. Just another thing that I cannot fault with Golden Dragon. This is the first Chinese takeaway where I have been more than happy with every dish that I have ordered. Absolutely top quality food from my experience here.

Hi everyone. Tonight i ordered House special chow mien, and BBQ spare ribs. The chow mien was so bland and gloopy, would have got more satisfaction by sucking my sock! When you ask for ribs, that means ribs with meat on. I got those short dumpy cartilage and fatty things, so i complained! Answer...... Sorry about that, we change suppliers and that's what we serve! Can offer you 10% off next perchase . I said what next perchase??? Absolute crap!!! Please don't bother with this place, Diss needs a good decent Cantonise take away!

Although this Chinese takeout is normally pretty good tonight the food was almost inedible, no taste and under cooked, obviously they were busy but it will be a long while til I use this Chinese again

So after giving them many, many, many years of our money on takeaways we just called up to order a delivery. There was a long delay on the phone and we were then told “sorry we cannot do business with you because you complained last time” … The order in question was close to £40, a few pieces of the chicken in the chicken curry were very clearly not cooked, shiny, pink and raw inside. Despite this, they offered to give us £2 (TWO POUNDS!!! back or to replace. We gracefully opted to receive a replacement and were stupidly very British and apologised for the complaint saying had it not been for that, the rest was fine. So we were rather taken aback at the confrontation on the phone refusing our order. I mentioned “you know how many years we’ve used you and how much money we’ve spent with you?” Her reply “yes many many times but the Manager says we can no longer do business with you” Is it just me that thinks this is the worst customer service? I mean it’s so bad it’s laughable. We will for sure be taking our business elsewhere to one of the other Chinese Takeaways in and around Diss. PS - Don’t get the chicken curry, unless that is you like it to taste of nothing :)

I’m already fearful of what’s to come. The food was certainly hot and plentiful but that is as much as I can say about the otherwise bland and beige options largely straight from the freezer.

Diss being the nearest town to the location of our holiday accommodation, we had a choice of several takeaways, but we chose this one because it opened at 4pm, earlier than the others. The staff were welcoming and polite. Our meal for 4 was prepared quickly (15 minutes) and well packaged. The lady even brought it out to my car. Whilst waiting for the food, we were able to enjoy the views around the adjacent Mere. We ate our meal back at Banham. It was absolutely delicious. We all (4) had different items, but we were completely satisfied (and full!). I recommend the Golden Dragon and would definitely go again.

I tried the Golden Dragon which is opposite the Mere, IP22 4AD if using satnav, as the place I normally get my chinese meals from is not running at full strength. It was great, amazing even. The spare ribs were a meal in themselves and other items were all fresh, piping hot and well favoured. I will visit again was so impressed with the food quality.
