Kam Moon in South Norfolk

Visiting the area for the weekend. Saw someone walk past with a bag of food and thought why not. Price on a par with everywhere else. Portions reasonable, everything cooked well and presented ok. Shop was dated but not going to review the decor. Staff friendly and quickly organised. I would go back if in the area.

A wonderful takeaway with a wide range of dishes. We had two different chicken mains, and the chicken was lovely and tender. The egg fried rice wasn't dry and the mini spring rolls were yummy !! Good size portions and a decent price. Would certainly use them again

the food was vile and tasted watered down the vegetables had brown bits on and was clearly old food and ended up with a really bad stomach ache and sickness don’t oder from hear unless you want to be ill

Bought a fairly basic and easy dish to prepare...... but poor at the very best, in fact, sadly it tasted a bit like dish water. Sick to the back teeth of mediocre food from takeaways who treat their customers as if they know nothing and will accept anything! My last time of putting up with overpriced substandard food.

We had a take away from Kam Moon on Friday evening, having previously tried the other 2 in Harleston. The service was friendly and polite, the food was prepared quickly and the food was excellent and piping hot. The best Chinese food I have eaten in a long time. We will definitely be going back.

Visited on a Monday and the food wasn't great. Clearly reheated rather than freshly cooked. (Edited - my bad)

The best takeaway I've ever had, excellent and I'm in my fifty's, been all over the country, this place is top by a mile , for get down the road they dish up spring rolls and make out they are pancake rolls, big difference

you can only pay by cash if you go to the shop but only pay by card online. sounds like some one not paying their taxes

First time we have uesd this takeaway after a family recommendation, absolutely lovely...food was fresh, really tasty... certainly recommend.

I don’t know what’s happened , but the the food is not what it used to be, unfortunately I won’t be ordering again.

Not been to Kam Moon for ages but had a visitor recently who fancied a Chinese Takeaway - we were not disappointed with Kam Moon in Harleston! Very easy to order online, and food was delicious when collected at time stated. Will definitely be going there again soon.

Have been here before, and it was fine, but tonight it was really disappointing. I hate chicken Cantonese, it was some very processed chicken with loads of onion and sweet and sour sauce. That’s it! When I’ve had it before, it’s had a mixture of peppers/ veg in it! After one piece of chicken, I had to leave the rest! Such a waste of money!

Visited here whilst staying at Weybread Lakes Lodges. Honestly, one of the best Chinese restaurants I have eaten from only wish it was closer to home. We had Salt & Pepper Chicken, Egg Fried Rice and vegetable spring rolls. The food portions were generous and tasted delicious. We were here for 4 days and had to go back for a second visit before leaving, the gentleman inside remembered my name from my first visit and service was quick. Would 100% recommend, easily 5 stars, I would give more if possible.

This is the best Chinese takeaway I've been to. Never had a problem with their food, low prices and a super quick service. What more can one ask ? Nice people too. Thoroughly enjoyed and reccomended.

This was a last minute as passing by on a Wed night.... Totally worth the visit, we had 1/2 a peking duck, special fried rice, egg fried rice, seaweed, prawn crackers.... Brilliant service, cooked to order and it was soooo tasty, will definitely call in again

Always good. Great food and speedy service. Very nice to include free items when you spend enough. Cash only which was hard as I had to scourer my car for coins to make up the cost.

By far the best Chinese I've ever had, it's a shame they're cash only, but there's a cash machine within a minute's walk so it's not a deal breaker! If you don't know which Chinese to choose in Harleston, choose Kam moon!

Egg fried rice is not very nice. Kam moon definately the second best Chinese in Harleston

Cards werent accepted so had to get cash (2022...) but the food was good to excellent for chinese take out.

Have used Kam moon for a long time had Barbecue spareribs and special fried the ribs were very dry looked like they had been re cooked and the rive was not up to standed may not go again

Its was our first Chinese meal for many years as the one in our local town is shocking. IF only this restaurant was in Settle! The food was ready on time and the portion size was very good at a reasonable price. We had the set meal for two and if we were staying longer in te area we would have returned. Certainly worth a visit.

This is the best Chinese takeaway in the area or for miles. I live near Beccles with several other closer options and will happily drive to Harleston for these guys. Service is always extra friendly and the food is the best I have found, equivalent to a decent London Chinese take away.

Best Chinese in town we had a order of £200 pounds worth. All ready on time all hot and delicious. Always friendly and happy to help.

I just had one of the best Chinese food in. A while now. The casheer let us to order with a promise we'll come back with the cash. All went down in a blaze of glory 🤣. Much better than any kebab in town I'll tell you that.

Very, very nice Cinese, I especially like the Honey BBQ Ribs, Singapore Fried Rice and The Dumpling Starter with Sauce, so Yummy. Would definitely recommend, 1 of the best in the local area I have found, and good value too. Portions are very generous. And they also give you free Prawn Crackers and free Fortune Cookies when you spend so much.

Really fantastic food really pleased fresh loads of veg in mixed veg with really tender chicken. Great prawn crackers too. The Kam Moon rice though was amazing? Really tasty moist with great flavours and large pieces of tasty pork and chicken and loads of veg in!!! Really pleased great service and lovely people!! Wish we had taken photos but we all couldn’t wait and was just brilliant.

Best Chinese on the Norfolk Suffolk border

What is there not to love about this place. The food is fantastic and the service is always friendly with a smile. My personal recommendation is the Salt and Pepper chicken, which is fantastic. Our order tonight was delicious and perfectly cooked. Thank you!!

So so disappointed - we’ve eaten here many times over two years but have decided to call it a day after what we have just eaten.The food we ate today was really grim, greasy, bland and just vile.I thought long and hard before leaving this review as I’m conscious this is someone’s business, however, I’m afraid to say this gives Chinese food a bad name.Sad day

Phoned up at 19.50...the young lad said come and collect your good at 20.30.. I waited in the shop for anthor 30mins..the atmosphere was good

Horrible food! Too expensive. Half the size of what is sold in Colchester for the same price. And too salty. The person taking orders cannot understand English and when I picked food he couldn't understand what a saviette is.

Always good food but it always takes longer than the time they specify regardless of how busy it is.

Just moving in to Harleston and what a great surprise! By far the best Chinese Takeaway for miles.

We always go to Kam Moon because the food is so fresh and cooked to order, not reheated. Delicious and reasonably priced. I don't think they use monosodium glutimate either which is great as I never feel over full like other take-aways.

Usually very loyal to the Chinese take away up the road from here, but we do choose Kam Moon for a change, and I must say the most recent takeaway from here was absolutely spot on.... best Chinese takeaway we’ve had in a few months, and we have quite a lot - back soon!

Great for vegetarians, beancurd dishes are very nice. All food is so nicely cooked. I regularly use this takeaway. Staff are really nice and friendly and it is a pleasure to visit!

Visited when in the area and placed a rather large order. The food came in good time and was piping hot. The portions were good size. The food itself was a bit of a mixed bag, some dishes were very good, full of taste others not so lacking in any real flavour. Would probably try again if in the area as because the quality of the better dishes gives hope that it was just because we had so much and on a busy Saturday night and was not over priced.

You can order your food by phone or walk in and wait. Nice food happy people, can't fault it.

We have tried many Chinese takeaways up and down the country but we always come back to this one as the best all round food and value. Pancake rolls excellent, crispy duck good, special fried rice very tasty. All in all difficult to beat

The food from this small takeaway is really good and for the price cannot be beaten! One of the tastiest Chinese menus I've tasted and not to be ignored..

Came here today and ordered food 6 people and it all came to £35 which I thought was very reasonable. We didn't have to wait long and the food portion size was good. We will definitely return in the future!

People said the food here was great. We tried it one night and sadly it didn't live up to expectations. The food was actually quite ordinary, and to be honest, rather forgettable. Sadly we won't be visiting again. There are better options elsewhere.
