The best restaurants in South Cambridgeshire East of England

Service was excellent, but the food was very overpriced for what you get. I am a bit disappointed as I was very looking forward to have a great experience and the food was very avaridge, nothing special. I could have spend that money elsewhere and enjoyed my dinner more. Overall wasn't a horrendous experience but I would not consider to return.

Quite enjoyed visit, friendly staff and had a nice atmosphere quite a mix of people, food was ok just had a portion of chips and cider next time maybe something more substantial as food looked quite appetizing

Excellent food - veggie Sunday roast! Attentive staff, nice surroundings. Small car park but plenty of parking on street (must upset residents).

A great pub to go to, whether it be for a nice meal, or for a few with the lads to watch the game. They've got a great setup which keeps the diners away from the sports for a quiet experience, and a couple of tvs at either end of the bar for different sports. A great selection of great beers and a kids play area in a nice pub garden. I would recommend to all!

Lovely building, which really helps the pub atmosphere . Not like the 'good old days ', but good enough. Slow service, presumably early week less staff.

Most expensive fish and chips I've ever been to, and for what you get it is not worth it, the regular chip portions could fit in the palm of your hand so you are forced to get a large, didn't even offer me salt and vinegar, and the curry sauce is not the best, especially for £3.85

The place was a little run down but the food on the buffet looked nice.

We ate at the Bar. We shared a pizza and a bowl of fries (they were the best I have eaten ever. Very crisp, chunky - delicious!!! The service was excellent.

Hot tasty abundant. No complaints. Definitely return. Fish and chips for me. Enormous Club sandwich and chips for my husband.

Workers seemed unenthusiastic and coffee was washed, dont come here go to Starbucks instead for a better experience overall.

Have visited the venue a couple of times now. It is really nicely laid out with comfy welcoming bar areas, a good restaurant space and very nice garden which as the weather was lovely and warm we took the opportunity to eat outside. The food we had which was a smoked salmon and beef rolls both of which were really tasty. The staff looked smart. They were very welcoming and friendly. They were very attentive to the customer without being intrusive. Will be happy to go there again so I strongly recommend folk visit the pub.

It's been a bit ropey for years, but reading the reviews I thought I'd check ok the Credit Card Situation and nothing has changed. Dismissive, rude staff as ever. "Bank transfer or cash only". Someone ought to put a call in to HMRC methinks...
